My sister applied for SOWP for her husband visiting visa more than 6 months for her youngest child and visiting visa less than 6 months for her two children still in university Her husband and her youngest got medical request, though her husband did upfront. Her two children got denied reason purpose of visit. But it was demonstrated clear with tuition and admission to university in Nigeria that they will visit during their vacation. Please what should she do?

You reapply for visit for them with more substantial reasons why they need to come. You could start with their wellbeing and who will carter for them and things like that
Assuming you had not submitted vv for them.

But you can also look at the angle of applying for study permit for them finding admissions for them and letting them go to school there

The duration of their study is the duration of yours. Amount in cad is the amount you have for both their application and that of your spouse. All the info you filled for your own study permit put it there and use ur LOA but the amount in cad is the present amount you have for their application together

Sent my wifes passport on monday and it was received yesterday without the 990 sms fees. Although her biometric slip was attached to the sent documents.

Apparently it's the sms charge that wasn't included in the envelope and the return envelope.

Thats because of your biometrics slip i guess. Because we dont normally pay for sms aside the transmission fee

Pls pardon my English. Yes is PR, my wife is a Canadian. We did everything right, police criminal record done, fingerprints done, medical done, since then nothing else.
The reason why I mention ghana is they send our application is in Accra for processing. Is been two years. I got email frm google, but when my wife write to them this is there response.
We will review your message shortly. If the information is available on our websites or your application is still within standard processing times, we will not provide a response to your message.

Continue to message Accra, also you can ask your wife to check for her MP and contact him for help

That document was not complete and vsf refused to accept it. So you need to check what was not in it and add it. Please shed more light is the passport for you kids or ur spouse?

Which visa type did you apply for? I am asking Because you mentioned ghana. From my understanding Ghana is for PR applications not SOWP, except you are a ghanian.

Please pardon my questions, what forms do one fill for SOWP and what forms for Kids study permits...

Once you click on the sowp on the old portal and input ur details it will give u a prompt asking whether you are adding another person to the application you choose yes and add the kids one after the other. Then once you are down it will auyomatically generate the forms for you. U just need to download fill and submit

Guys! Finally the remaining part of the puzzle was solved this morning after more than 28 emails and webforms back to back. Remember my kids got PPR on 28 June 2022 while my spouse got medical request. The medicals was done July 14th at IOM and the stamped passports of the kids was gotten back from abuja VSF of July 15th. Iom sent the result for medical on July 21st and IRCC uploaded that same day. Then another wait began and i started sending emails and webforms also at some point contacted my mp again. Yesterday morning we got BVL but this morning around 3.20am EDT she go the PPR. At last exactly 1year and 7days becos the application was submitted 22nd July 2021.
It has ended in praises. While waiting for her PPR i already booked airfrance for september just to buy time and also pay less flight fees even at that i paid pass 3k CAD

Please what did you upload for your child in his application since you selected study more than 6month. In the checklist it will always requested for proof of acceptance for all child application. Pls I will appreciate your kind response.

Just put ur admission letter LOA there for him it will work.

@skull4eva I know we both have similar experience with withdrawal on VV for old portal. Should I go ahead and submit my passport and send an email to IRCC about the kids visitor application on the new portal.

Go ahead and send ur passport for stamping because u only have 30days validity to get that done. Then after that u can now send a mail to IRCC since they approved yours they cant leave out the kids so they have little or no choice than to approve theirs too

Madam the only trick is to book further away from august. I Paid 3k plus CAD for my spouse and two kids less than years of age for september.

I am on a Study permit, his application is attached to his father's. Initially, I applied for VV for him alongside his dad SOWP in Nov, Medical request came for his dad and his was rejected on June 6 asking him to apply for a study permit (8 yrs old ) and not VV. When we applied for Study for him,PPR for his dad and medical request for him on July 4th then his medical passed on July 6th.Since then no update.

I get it now. You need to keep mailing them and sending webform. Now since it is study permit let them know u want him to resume studies in sept and he needs to come in asap for his school preparation also he will be joining a new environment and needs time to adjust so the earlier the better

Though I have tried to read as much as possible, but still need help.
Spouse got admission and we have now confirmed seat. We are gathering data and building SOP. Plan is for us all to go at once. Kids are above 9yrs

Please What is the next stage?
What visa type should we apply for kids and me?
How soon should we start as we hope to get SOWP before leaving Nigeria.
What type of medical and can we go ahead and do upfront medical?

It is always adviceable to let your spouse apply for study permit first before you all apply. But all these depends on ur financial buoyancy and capabilities. Are you financially capable? If yes because without knowing what ur spouse tuition is i can tell you that u will be needed a proof of fund of around 40 to 60k cad. If yes you can apply for sowp and study permit for you spouse and kids since they are above 9yrs

But If you did biometrics in Lagos and want to send to Abuja , you are paying 9410 to CANADA LOGISTIC COLLECTION ACCOUNT (a/c no 0065165839) sterling bank.
Buy an envelope

put two photocopies of your passport data page

your yellow or white biometrics slip

passport request letter

consent form downloaded and signed

Print out receipts of the 9410 too


Note: you are signing just the second page of the consent form

one plain sheet of paper where you can write your address and phone number

Before sweetjj responds let me just say this the visa type for ur kids depends on their ages. If ur kids are less than 4yrs u can apply for vv but for those above 5years that can go to elementry school and above u can apply for a study permit. So let me ask what are their ages?

Please what type migrant type to be selected from the drop-down list for example; Family Migrant/Sponsorship, Immigrant, Skilled Migrant, and Student. I just want to know since the application type is SOWP. Moreso, what type of visa is to be applied for the kids. I can see that someone used VV whereas some people advise using Study for the kids. I appreciate your response in sharing light to my questions. Thank you.

It can be denied if the medical examination was not passed. But once medical is passed it is 99percent sure of approval.

I mean u have to pre book before going. That is book an appointment before going. And u have a medical request and go in person before you are giving a date it will be almost 2 weeks
