Can you please elaborate more on the visa officers denial reason and also list out all the submitted documents. This is the only way i can give an advice that will work. I need a real and full picture of what happened

The money for flight that am seeing is very high oo. Please any solution around it? I cant book ahead until my spouse medical request is done with. Please does anyone knows how long it takes to get PPR after medicals is submitted because she has been scheduled for thursday next week. So that i can book flight ahead becos am seeing as much as 1.9m for three people (my spouse and 2 kids less than 5yrs)

I'm currently in this fix now as Airlines insist all visitor's Visa holders need a return ticket irrespective of age.

My timeline
The journey started in 2020 when i applied for visa for myself and my family together after i got admission for a phd in mcgill. I didnt get funding so i looked for a sponsor who was not a close relative my visa was denied alongside that of my family on basis of funds no travel history and that what was the perosn standing to gain in sponsoring my education. Now i went back to the drawing board decided to reapply alone got some level of funding from my supervisor 18k cad per year then i also got a gift of deed from my parents to increase my financial capacity added the sponsor statement again paid my full tuition for winter 2021 january then reapplied again in december 2020. My visa was approved in my but i didnt travel till july ending. I applied for my spouse sowp while i was in nigeria on 22nd of July 2021 and then the wait started.
Did upfront medicals for her but didnt do for the two kids becos they were both less than 3yrs as at then.
I was scared for 3 major reasons
1. financially becos i only had 5k USD in dorm account, 2m in my naira account and 2.4m in my spouse naira account as well as my sponsorship letter for the application.
2. I applied from nigeria and most gurus adviced against that although immediately i enter canada i sent my study permit as well as sin and invitation letter to support spouse application via webform and email
3. I changed my program from a phd to a masters when i entered and these things made me afraid
When i waited and waited I booked a flight in december to come see my family and made my two kids do medical then. I came back in january hoping to get the news of their approval soon but it took another 6months. Although i sent my flight itenary as well as transcripts and other bursaries and funding i got and even my canada bank statement but they were just acknowledged IRCC didnt work on the file. My Mp started the follow up since sept and he did it till june 15th He is really a wonderful man. He even told me last week that they already put a brought forward date on my spouse sowp file to treat it on july 6 next week.
Lets i forget i sent message to IRCC virtually almost every day and it got to a point in march that dey said i shud apply for my kids vv on the new portal so i quickly applied for my kids and spouse on march 25 2022 yet nothing. I kept on sending them mails and webform infact i sent mail to the minister of immigrations, countless times. On may 2nd my kids application attached to my wifes sowp was withdrawn on the old portal.
Finally, yesterday i think they withdraw my wifes application for VV and approved that of my kids and then sent her a medical request on her sowp portal becos her upfront medical was done june 22 2021 so it had expired i was even thinking it was july so i spoke to one of my bosses @akintommy and he was like to push it IRCC has reviewed it that was why dey requested for another. We have started to find how to get the medical done fast fast ooo so that i can send the passport together if possible.
Sincerely, i entered and came out of depression so many times but Thank God it ended in praises. Nah to start to live the canadian dream remain. Because Canada is like the back yard of heaven. Nigeria is like the backyard of hell. God will answer everyone on the waiting list with PPR.

@skull4eva so we need covid test...what about travelling with kids age 7 and 4 do we all need covid test... called Qatar airline and they said so far i am fully vaccinated we dont need covid pcr test...
I really need to be sure of the lastest update as regards vaccination
they also said if your traveling with a minor and the parent has a work or study permit (or any document that permit a one way ticket it covers that minor too)....minors are at the discretion of the parent status...

I am very sure u dont need it at the point of entry but confirm with the airline

Yes it has a 99 percent assurance of approval except the person fails medical.

Please I have two questions: 1, Do we still need COVID-19 Test to travel to Canada? 2, If your SOWP is less than 6 months do you need to book a return ticket?

1. You need covid 19 test to enter the plane but not to enter canada. At the point of entry they wont require covid 19 test from you but to enter the plane it remains a requirement.
2. You do not need to book a return ticket you sowp can easily be renewed within Canada so a return ticket is not required.

Please I have a question if someone did medical in july last year is the medical still active by now? If yes why is IRCC requesting for medical again from such a person? Am confused please help out. This is still june nah. Can the person send the active medical?

My cousin applied for study Visa using the old portal and got refused after six week.
We reapplied about three months ago. Upfront medical has been done and eligiblity review started over a month. Nothing more.
Can we reapply through the new portal?
Is it allowed?
Do they approve request through the old portal please

Secondly is medical required for minor below 10 years?

You cant have two same type of visa running concurrently. If you submit another through the new portal they will withdraw the one on the old portal. They approve request through the old portal. Most of us here used the old portal as there was nothing like new portal when we applied.
As for the question of medical depending on the type of visa children from the age of two are required to do medical too. My kids did and so did the kids of some of my friends too

Applied for VV on Nov. 23rd, 2021, and it was rejected on Dec 7th, 2021. Beginning of my depression
Applied for another VV on Feb 20th, 2022 and it was rejected 24th April 2022. Depression got deeper and I stopped going to the Lab (working from home but with low productivity). Finished my winter semester and my graduate coordinator, advisors and everyone around me felt so sad for me and I also felt sad for myself. At this point, I was already like I'm leaving Canada and I literarily got no positive view of Canada.
I went to my MPs office and they are literarily doing nothing and just saying I need to wait till the processing time elapse.
Eligibility Started June 14th. Then I started to fire email, and webform everyday.
Yesterday I sent an email to all of the offices from my own email telling them how depressing I am. Here I attached my transcript enrolment letter, updated finance, and landed document to Abuja, Lagos, London, and Nairobi.
I couldn't sleep overnight so one of my good brothers here that I pray that Allah grant his wife the PPR (today Bihitnillah) called me and we spoke and pray that we hear from IRCC soon. After some minutes I received an email from Abuja that I need to send a webform and I immediately responded to their email by saying I have done that 1000000 times. Well, after like 1 hr I stood up to see what webform they even asked me to send. As I sat on my chair like this I just saw the Golden email from on my wife's email (I have access to my wife's email) and it was at that time that I went on sujud (prostration) to Glory the Lord that created the earth and peg it with the rocks.
BVL and PPR June 23rd 2021.

Congratulations ooo. It will end it praise for we that applied early 2021 and still waiting. God will remember us for good and grant our PPR too. Once again congrats atleast depression go disappear now

Can I quickly go back to DHL and pay the second transmission fee, instead of waiting for them to return the passports unattended to? I intend to either go to DHL and pay the remainder, or visit VFS to enquire about how to remedy the situation. Which option do you advise?

VFS is better becos DHL is just picking up they are not concerned whether it is stamped or not

Dont worry they will attend to it between now and next month. Got a credible info that applications submitted early last year stroke mid last year has been given a brought forward date for it ti be reviewed. Still hoping and trusting my spouse application as well as that of my kids is approved too.

You cant carry more than 10k USD undecleared. If you need to carry more than 10k usd u need to declear it at the airport. But why not carry less cash for security purposes

please help me. By next week it will be one month we got medical request and we had upfront already and have sent to all webforms and emails but till now it hasnt been updated. someone gave me a number which i called and was told that i should contact nairobi as the application is there. Pls anyone with nairobi phone number should help me as i am sacred of what may happen if they dont see the medicals after 30 days. i have sent uncountable times to the nairobi webform and emails.

please anyone who has had this experience should please help me. This medical request in on the VV application not the SOWP. Same thing happened with the sowp which was in october 2021, after we sent upfront medicals, it took till feb this year for them to update it. I am super worried and loosing sleep, please offer guidance if this has happened to u.

No need to be worried. Once they open your file they will update it. They will see the date it was sent in and you will be fine. No worries

On the medical thing my best advice for you is to book flight jeje and go to iom abuja u will get it done fast and easy nah money u go just spend. I had someone that went from benin to lagos on monday and Qlife didnt oblige her a date within june which is the stilpulated 1month before she was able to get 28th of june at IOM lagos yesterday she had to be crying ooo. Please check for iom in abuja book and go
