pro2010:Has Amnesty Int. also watched the many boko harams atrocious and barbaric videos on Youtube before writing their reports. The Question still remains - what is the human right of those that boko haram has slaughtered wholesale and not to even talk of wanton looting and destruction of properties, accompanied with displacement of thousands of helpless victims?. Why is it that AI never talk of the victim's human rights. What criteria do they use in judging an army that is fighting with her "hands tied behind her back" so to say. If they fight boko haram its a problem. If collateral damage ensues as a result of this attacks it's a problem. If they don't fight back to defend civilians it's a problem. If they kill boko haram members in the course of fighting it's a problem. The army is right in its response to the amnesty nonsense as a calculated attempt to discredit the Nigerian army and smear the name of officers in a well orchestrated campaign rooted in mischief. |
oyeludef:If found culpable of fighting boko haram or what? The army has been fighting these animals with their hands tied behind their backs, yet you are complaining. Who cares about the rights of those hapless Nigerians boko haram have beheaded? Boko haram's latest video showed them slaughtering and shooting helpless civilians, policemen and a soldier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSJ4p4p_EEA Could it be that the new senator elect from Kaduna State "comrade" Shehu Sani a staunch member of Amnesty International is the one pushing this wild agenda? Your guess is as good as mine. There appears to be a strong connection here, going by his often inflammable rhetoric s on this so-called human rights abuse of Amnesty International. The present government will do well not to fall into this carefully crafted trap designed to serve powerful religious interests in the north. This is complete distraction for a new government that is barely trying to settle down. Next agenda is to ceaselessly start bombarding the government to give complete amnesty to boko haram in order to have peace. For starters boko haram has gone beyond this government and Nigeria. It has aligned itself with the Islamic state in the levant - calling itself as Islamic state in West Africa. This war MUST continue to the bitterest end, no more no less! |
Chinaimporter:Well, well, well, may the Lord have mercy on your soul because of His long-suffering and patience. Having prayed thus, however, the choice is still yours to make concerning life after this life... you are just a step (death) away from eternity and REAL life starts after that. Since you know the Bible this much but have deliberately chosen to side with God's and mankind eternal enemy no.1 (satan), there isn't much God can do for you. Remember Judas Iscariot? He was one of the 12 chosen disciples yet he chose the way of perdition. Remember the children of Israel? They all crossed the Red sea on dry ground but not all of them made it to the promised land. Remember Lot's wife? Her physical body came out of Sodom saved but her heart was still there... I can go on and on and on.... For siding with falsehood, error and darkness, you have placed your eternal soul in a terrible jeopardy, the tragedy of it all is incalculably disastrous to say the least. "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live," ( Deuteronomy 30:19 (21st Century King James Version) “Come now, and let us reason together,” saith the Lord. “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isaiah 1:18 KJV21) |
Here is a Biblical perspective on the fleeting nature of the things (wealth) of this world. Read the whole of 1 Timothy 6 for proper context. False Teaching and True Wealth Teach and command these things. 3 Anyone who teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to godly doctrine 4 is conceited and knows nothing. He has a morbid disposition for controversy and verbal disputes, from which come envy, strife, blasphemies, evil speculations, 5 constant disputes by men of corrupt minds, being destitute of the truth, and supposing that financial gain is godliness. Withdraw yourself from such men. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that we can carry nothing out. 8 If we have food and clothing, we shall be content with these things. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and harmful lusts, which drown men in ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil. While coveting after money, some have strayed from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. The Good Fight of Faith 11 But you, O man of God, escape these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, to which you are called and have professed a good profession before many witnesses. 13 I command you, in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and in the sight of Christ Jesus, who testified a good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 to keep this commandment without blemish, blameless until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which He, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, will reveal at the proper time. 16 He alone has immortality, living in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen, nor can see. To Him be honor and everlasting power. Amen. 17 Command those who are rich in this world that they not be conceited, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who richly gives us all things to enjoy. 18 Command that they do good, that they be rich in good works, generous, willing to share, 19 and laying up in store for themselves a good foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of eternal life. (I Timothy 6:3-19; Modern English Version-MEV) |
QUICK SUGGESTION TO THE SCULPTORS! The pillars holding the drum should be made or sculpted in form of human hands. It will make it look more natural - just a suggestion though, otherwise it's a good work of art. |
Why is Islam too fragile and afraid of itself. Islam has a morbid fear of almost everything that is normal in this life. |

sarutobie:I am ashamed of Mr Obasanjo. Had he stopped the beginning of Sharia Rule introduced by the then Governor of Zamfara State, Nigeria and Nigerians would have been spared the senseless killings we are witnessing today, not that this would have stopped the religious motivated killings altogether, but at least it would have gone a long way to stabilize the North. Nigeria is a secular country, why do we have the Islamic sharia provision in the constitution? He had the Constitutional power, the Armed forces, the Judiciary, the Politicians and most of all the populace behind him to stopped the introduction of Sharia BUT HE DID NOT. Why is he crying foul now. Has he forgotten to soon his own atrocities while he was at the helm of affairs - Odi, Zakibiam, $16billion spent to provide electricity that could not be accounted for, etc, etc? Matter of fact, Obasanjo is the REAL CLUELESS leader Nigeria has ever had. He should go and study Islam well before commenting on Boko Haram. As for the Niger Deltans, let him tell us what solution he would have proposed. Well not to go too far, I think I know - he would have ordered for complete carpet bombing of the Niger Delta Creek region - some solution indeed! |
Those photos are from Central African Republic - Showing the "war" between Moslems who first started the crises and "Christians" or anti balaka forces responding in like manner. "balaka" - meaning sword. |

After spending the first 3 days on Mars, you would then realized you have made the greatest mistake of your life, that is leaving your natural spaceship (earth) in the first place since you cannot go back to earth again, unless you have planned all along to commit suicide. Stop taking for granted what God has given you free of charge - LIFE - and particularly free air and water. That planet is NOT habitable. I repeat, it does NOT harbor LIFE. |
Can the Muslims refute what this true Islamic Jihadist says here. At least he is being truthful to Allah by carrying out his commands. |

Egypt: Muslims burn down Christian homes over relationship between Muslim girl and Christian boy https://www.jihadwatch.org/images/egypt.jpg Islamic law forbids Muslim women from marrying Christian men. When the "reports surfaced of a relationship between a Muslim girl and a Coptic boy," the two families "held reconciliatory talks," but they "fell through after 'Muslims burnt down the house of the boy’s father and an adjacent house.'" Now that's "dialogue." "Sectarian violence in Minya leaves five dead," by Hend Kortam for Daily News Egypt, November 29: http://www.dailynewsegypt.com/2013/11/29/sectarian-violence-in-minya-leaves-five-dead/ Two separate incidents of sectarian violence in villages in the governorate of Minya on Thursday claimed several lives. One of the incidents took place in the village of Badraman where reports surfaced of a relationship between a Muslim girl and a Coptic boy. Ishak Ibrahim, a researcher with the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights said the families of the girl and the boy held reconciliatory talks but the talks fell through after “Muslims burnt down the house of the boy’s father and an adjacent house.” Ibrahim said tensions escalated when a Muslim man was killed in “unknown circumstances,” possibly in a security chase. State-run Al-Ahram reported that in addition to one dead person, six were injured in the violence. It added that two people were arrested. The other incident broke out between residents of the predominantly Coptic village of Nazlet Ebeid and the predominantly Muslim village of El-Hawarta. A statement by the Diocese of Minya and Abu Qurqas said a Coptic landowner whose land is close to El-Hawarta village was being prevented from building a house on his land. The Coptic landowner had filed a complaint with the police regarding the issue but tensions escalated when he and others who were with him were shot at while building a fence around his land. Clashes which started on Wednesday continued until Thursday. People from both villages gathered as a result and the ensuing violence left four dead, according to Bishop Makarios of Minya who spoke to private channel ONTV. He added that around 55 people were injured.... Sectarian tensions had earlier flared in another Minya village, Delga. Of the five churches in the village, three were attacked after the 3 July ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi. Two people had reportedly died. Well, this story speaks for itself, doesn't it? |

The ONE BILLION DOLLAR QUESTION yet answered by Muslims all over the world still remains. Head to head, Why is Islam afraid of Christianity? The Prophet Elijah threw the same challenge on Mount Carmel - "And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the Lord; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken." (I Kings 18:21-24 KJV) Here the result of the test was obvious going by the story. It was the God of Elijah that answered by fire. The implication for Islam is clear. Were it not for the death penalty on apostasy if one leaves the Islamic faith, most if not all muslims will opt out of the religion, but for the fear of death and being disowned by family they would rather remain in untruth and eternal error, and ultimately leading to their eternal misery. What a tough act to follow! |
Mr Moderator, why is this all important issue not on front page already? The constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria guarantees freedom of worship and association. Why are Christians denied their basic rights of worshiping their God where ever they are in Nigeria. This is one of the main reasons why the sovereign national conference to decide the future of this country is a must. If this were to happen in Plateau State, Taraba or Benue, the propaganda machines of the muslim ummah (BBC, Aljazeera, CNN, Radio France, Deute Welle) would have since gone to town on a relentless mission on how muslims in Nigeria are being denied their freedom to worship. Such hypocrites! The whole world has kept mute on how Saudi Arabia and other core Islamic countries will not allow churches to be built. But when they come to your country, they demand as a matter of right land to built mosques and islamic schools. All over the so-called sharia states of the north, this is the open agenda they are pursuing to stamp out Christianity in the north. Is it any wonder that they have not REALLY come out to call their Boko Haram boys to order? This monster you have bred in Boko Haram over the years shall one day consume or swallow you all. The Gospel of Jesus Christ that daily calls for repentance and acceptance of the only Saviour for the world will stand as a testimony against you one day! Boko Haram is right and with your full support to declare Nigeria an Islamic State. For a Church to pay the sum of N16,000,000 just for the renewal of C of O is downright scandalous, reprehensible and wicked for a state that claims co-existence of all faiths and where the grand 'mufti' of Islam in Nigeria, the Sultan of Sokoto resides. It makes rubbish all so-called meetings to find peaceful solutions to the problems of this country. Shame on the Muslims, shame on Sharia, shame on Sokoto State, and shame on Nigeria!!! |

1 Peter 1:18-19 Living Bible (TLB) "18 God paid a ransom to save you from the impossible road to heaven which your fathers tried to take, and the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver as you very well know. 19 But he paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God." |
A Message for the Catholic Brethren Looking forward to being in Purgatory after Death: Jesus Paid It All by: Elvina M. Hall - 1865 (Lyrics) I hear the Savior say, “Thy strength indeed is small; Child of weakness, watch and pray, Find in Me thine all in all.” Refrain: Jesus paid it all, All to Him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow. For nothing good have I Whereby Thy grace to claim; I’ll wash my garments white In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb. And now complete in Him, My robe, His righteousness, Close sheltered ’neath His side, I am divinely blest. Lord, now indeed I find Thy pow’r, and Thine alone, Can change the leper’s spots And melt the heart of stone. When from my dying bed My ransomed soul shall rise, “Jesus died my soul to save,” Shall rend the vaulted skies. And when before the throne I stand in Him complete, I’ll lay my trophies down, All down at Jesus’ feet. |
woky: Onesiphorous was dead bt paul stil pray to God to show mercy to him(onesiphorous) on the day of judgment, you and i knws that thire is no forgivness in hellBrother, I would rather worry about my own salvation, how to live a holy and righteous life now than to worry about some dead saints who are already in heaven. Here you go again twisting and confusing issues. Here are Paul's statements on Onesiphorus concerning the day of Christ return to take up His Saints. 2 Tim. 1:15-18 (Living Bible) - In context. 15 As you know, all the Christians who came here from Asia have deserted me; even Phygellus and Hermogenes are gone. 16 May the Lord bless Onesiphorus and all his family because he visited me and encouraged me often. His visits revived me like a breath of fresh air, and he was never ashamed of my being in jail. 17 In fact, when he came to Rome, he searched everywhere trying to find me, and finally did. 18 May the Lord give him a special blessing at the day of Christ’s return. And you know better than I can tell you how much he helped me at Ephesus. It did not say on the day of purgatory. Who would not like to receive God's special blessings on the day of Christ return? Like Onesiphorus I would like to extend the same ministration to the Pastors and the brethren in general. According to Hebrews 13:1-2 "Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Thank you. |
woky: so what paul wrote of his friend Onesiphoraus in 2timothy 1:18 is nonsense..I don't get the point. Can you be more explicit please. We are talking about the existence or not of purgatory. What connection with Paul's prayer for mercy and goodwill for a dear Christian brother who ministered to him in times of distresses? |
Italo, you are tired man, go and take some rest for now! Why on earth will God send His Son to come and die for our sins, only to have these same sins being forgiven half way or not fully at all. Stop twisting the scriptures and the simple Gospel of Salvation and thereby misleading many to hell. What is the point of Christ death on the Cross? Rom. 6:23 (KJV) "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" Let me also quote from the same book of 1st John in the Bible that you have been using as your support: 1 John 3:1-10 (KJV) "1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. (Your purgatory doctrine flies out of the window here) 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother." (Emphasis in red mine.) Let the Bible speak for itself and not replace it with the doctrine of demons and traditions of men in 'holy' garbs. |
I have a few questions for the 'purgatarians': 1. Did Jesus ever taught purgatory even remotely or alluded to the fact of its existence? 2. The dying thief who asked the Lord Jesus Christ for pardon and to remember him in His coming kingdom, is he in purgatory now? 3. Where are Moses, Elijah and all the other prophets of old, are they in purgatory including Mary the mother of our Lord? |
In summary, having considered the purgatory debate, one can safely conclude that there is not much difference between the Catholic Faith and the Islamic religion. Islam teaches the same thing as in everybody will first of all go to hell. Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) teaches that Allah will cherry pick from Hell whomever he wants saved to go to heaven. I have stirred the hornest net and I might as well run for it. This is a debate for another day. Meanwhile, I thoroughly enjoyed all attempts at cajoling, derailing and forcing the Op to agree that there is a purgatory. If SINS CANNOT be wiped out NOW until in some imagined future purgatory, then Jesus BLOOD, DEATH and RESURRECTION was a FARCE, a COMPLETE and TOTAL WASTE OF TIME on the side of Almighty God. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords gave a resounding victorious cry on the cross of calvary - IT IS FINISHED!!! "There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins, and sinners plunged beneath that flood loose all their guilty stains....." |
Avoid getting close or being taken in by the beauty of their women, cause this will be a sure way to loose the match, even without the Ethiopian coach saying anything. It's in you the Eagles, but you have to avoid their women at all cost. I hope Keshi, Enyeama and the coaching crew are listening. Remember Samson in the Bible. A word is enough for the wise. |

What a tragedy! Is this really our courageous and fearless Nigerian Army that we know? Somehow I kept on wishing it was not true. Operational errors? This is one operational error too many. We would not succumb to this! Is this what our army has degenerated into? Nigerian Army is better than this 100 times. I suspect serious internal SABOTAGE. confusion247: That means after the specified period, an injunction in the quran will be followed..."quran 9:5~ 'And when the forbidden months have passed, kill the idolaters wherever you find them and take them prisoners, and beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent and observe Prayer and pay the Zakat, then leave their way free. Surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful'." ...Every body should understand that once the jihadist starts suicide bombing, they don't stop. This is the ultimate war strategy prescribed by their prophet and they are simply following it to the letter. Nigerians don't get fooled! The federal government is caught in a war trap if this story is true, and why Radio France for the announcement? The government is truly being misled, this group has been proscribed, so who and why are you signing a ceasefire with a criminal organisation you just proscribed? Shine your eyes people, something has gone terribly wrong here. |
what kind of exam is this?
