I’m just against making any payment until you’re actually at the location or can that it’s for rent. The landlord can just let you in without physically being with you, for an inspection. Eg (he stands outside). I mean it’s a vacant space so there’s nothing for one to steal per say lol.

Reason I say this is because one can actually be scammed with the whole “online viewing” method. I still have a clear video of my room, kitchen, bathroom etc that I sent to my landlord as a proof of no damage in order to get my deposit back. I can easily upload that on SpareRoom or gumtree and write “online inspection”. Someone will show interest and I will send my UK details to them. It doesn’t take much to draft a contract & most people don’t even know that landlords are registered or own a license.

So yeah I’m just against the payment technique as suggested earlier that’s all .

The person should at least be in the UK first and be sure the property is up for rent, online inspection or not

Not with all landlords or agent will allow that due to the pandemic. Nowadays they tell you to book a "video inspection"

Reason is because they want to maintain social distance within the property.

So you have to go through the website to know if they allow inspection or online inspection.

They’re probably not granting you admission because you’re not showing progression and you seem a little confused.

This is not always the case .
I would not advise anyone to make any payment until they’re at the property with the landlord or agent. After inspection, you follow them to their office or business address to sign the agreement and make payment.

You should only make payments if it’s directly to the university or uni accommodation partner.

Rent an apartment online. I received over 4 calls from property agents today. It's as simple as ABC. See a property. Do a video inspection, read the tenancy agreement and you like it then make payment. Them no fit scam you for UK with a UK bank account. Thanks

Eg: Northumbria is 30 days from resumption date.
Sometimes it can even stretch but on approval (eg visa delay or something). The university can give you a longer time to enrol.
