Jarus: Lol @ this strategy.
Makes sense.
I'm not so good at saying NO too. What I do is ignore. I hardly pick calls, don't reply facebook PM etc.
As a young man that justed started working in Lagos years back, my father xmas disposition landed me in serious financial crisis.
Now, other than my parents, a couple of siblings, family members once in a while, I no dey share money anyhow again o
I don't even pick calls, as I know 90% of calls from certain people are to ask for money which I find difficult to turn down.
This doesn't however mean I don't give. I actually do, probably more than an average person, but I've become very selective.
I strongly believe "it took a whole village to raise a child" so that child must give back to the "village" (I.e family). As a student in school, I know how I also taxed my brothers and uncles. True... Chairman, e don te small o. |

I was in a similar issue, although it was far lesser as I'm not yet rich, but I always try to help people when they come...then I learnt to say "No, it's not possible. I don't think it will work." |

Politics › Re: Special Task Force Soldiers Aid Fulani In Raiding Plateau State Village by slap1(m): 7:59am On Jul 06, 2015 |
Someone said here last week, and I agree, that the biggest mistake on the war against Boko Haram was using the indigenous soldiers to 'fight' the battle. The native soldiers were very sentimental and only watched as Boko Haram shed its milk teeth and took up a carnivorous incisor with which it now bites deep into our moral and socio-economic fibre. The fact that most top military men are northerners does not help matters too. |

Politics › Re: I’ve No Northern Agenda – Buhari by slap1(m): 4:07am On Jul 06, 2015 |
My worry about a possible northern agenda is not because of the appointments, but because no finger has been lifted against Boko Haram since 29th May and yet Buhari said we (certainly not Nigeria) are winning the war. |
