T.A. Orji should pay the ransom and secure the release of the victims asap. Something tells me these guys are more serious this time, and with the military on their trail, time would be of utmost importance.

I see danger for these new victims. God help them and their families.

Think militants, think MEND. Think politicians, think IBB. His romance with bomb didn't start today. Remember Dele Giwa.

If I were a journalist at the scene I'd ask them to tell us their findings. From their posture you'd know they're clueless. I BET THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW THE COMPONENTS OF A BOMB!

Anti-bomb squad or post-bomb squad?

Whichever way, it's a national shame! Blame games aren't the best option right now, GJ should get people like Ribadu to run a meticulous background check on the people surrounding him, including the security chiefs.

I don't know how old - intellectualy and otherwise - some people on this thread are. Who said nobody condemned the Odi massacre?
Politics › Re: Mend Strikes As Threatened, 7 Confirmed Dead by slap1(m): 4:50pm On Oct 01, 2010
OYB, MAZIUCHE and HAMID. It's quite amazing that you guys have room for verbal pugilism instead of meaningfully contributing to the topic. Why can't any of you play the matured adult and ignore the other?

MEND is being sponsored by IBB through his pawn ODILI so lets not equate it to GOODLUCK
FINE! We should fold our and die in installments. No single person or group can be difficult for a SERIOUS government to handle.

oyb:
dude, every  nigerian knows our security is incompetent

so mend sending a mail is like those kidnappers in owerri giving advance warning
We're saying the same thing from different angles. The solution to the problem is standardizing our security because MEND gives no hoot about what happens to us. Our security should be looked into so that we won't give a damn about such mails in future.
Politics › Re: Mend Strikes As Threatened, 7 Confirmed Dead by slap1(m): 4:18pm On Oct 01, 2010
Hamid O:
We definately have security problems in this country but would u capitalize on dat 2 harm an innocent personhuh MEND should just come out and tell us the Anti-GEJ using them 4 political reasons and stop claiming they r fighting for the people of the Niger delta.
My entire being is against MEND for this. But, to borrow a text from the Holy bible, SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND? We keep blaming MEND as if our lives as a nation are in their hands. Even if they admit the anti-GEJ whatever is  using them, how will solve the problem? Will it prevent a repetition of this present madness? NO! NO! NO!

oyb:
dude quit the almadeijad moment, please
MEND will strike again and we'll all fire curses at them. HOW ABOUT THOSE PAID TO PREVENT THIS KINDA SHIT? And the fact that these guys gave a fore warning breaks my heart.
Politics › Re: Mend Strikes As Threatened, 7 Confirmed Dead by slap1(m): 3:59pm On Oct 01, 2010
Let's all have a rethink. In the Aba debacle we blamed T.A Orji, not the kidnappers. Why are we now blaming MEND. MEND is responsible for this attack, but the security officers are to blame
Politics › Re: Mend Strikes As Threatened, 7 Confirmed Dead by slap1(m): 3:52pm On Oct 01, 2010
I really feel ambivalent about this. MEND's action was  a display of lunacy and and a lucid painting of the porosity of our security forces. They could have killed GEJ if they so wished.

It's not all about sacking sacking and replacing security chiefs, that's a mere embellishment. Bro Joe should know WHY the previous ones didn't perform, not HOW they didn't.
