Akomas should dump Orji Kalu's camp and come over to PDP. Case closed. Problem solved.

you decided to run away instead of helping your people solve the problem.
I get ur joke. But only mad men face guns with bare hands. . .

Pukkah:
Didn't you say you were leaving for Owerri?

I wish the soldiers the best of luck. They must ensure that the kids and other hostages come out alive. They should also smoke out the criminals and their sponsors/barons and not use this as an opportunity to abuse or extort money from innocent citizens.
I wanted to leave this morn but they came in as early as 1:00am(at least that was when I started hearing gunshots.)
Politics › Breaking news: Army Have Taken Over Aba! by slap1(op): 7:07am On Sep 30, 2010
Breaking news, chei ! Everywhere is flooding with the army right now. There is limited movement, vehicular and otherwise. . . .The kind of gunshots I'm hearing now is novel. The soldiers are heading to the kidnapper's camps.
Politics › Re: Is Aba A Reflection Of What Biafra Would Have Been? by slap1(m): 3:50am On Sep 30, 2010
ChinenyeN:
The fallacy in this topic is the assumption that Biafra would have had a Nigerian setup, which made such a situation as Aba very possible.
SUPERBLY DELIVERED. I wu mmadu, inu?

Amnesty is not going to stop armed robbers. What is happening is that armed robbers are now going into the arena of kidnapping because its more lucrative. The situation in the niger delta is completely different with a root cause.
It might interest, or rather suprize you, to learn that the root cause of both cases are not entirely different from each other.

^^ I am, thanks. But with gunshots punctuating the night, I fear I'm condemned to keep vigil till day breaks.
Politics › Re: Can Goodluck Jonathan Lead Nigeria? by slap1(op): 12:46am On Sep 30, 2010
People are not craving for violence, they crave for peace. Amnesty calmed down the situation in Niger Delta then, why not apply same to Abia? And talking of violence, I believe some situations calls for it. Leading a nation is different from being in charge of a nursery school.

was actually looking for you to tell you that, sorry it had to be on this thread, i have been telling all kawarans i know, that it is a damn shame to them, this is happening,  whether it happens in ibadan or any where it remains a damn shame to the people, you inclusive!!
How can Jarus, or even his whole family, change what is happening in Kwara State? Is he the state's PDP chairman? Kindly tell us your state so we'd see how smooth its journey has been.

I can't confirm it either, but I doubt GJ would do that. Anyways I'm leaving tomorrow.

Politics › Re: The Only Solution To The Chaos In Aba Is The Return Of Bakassi Boys by slap1(m): 8:12pm On Sep 29, 2010
Uche take it easy. The Bakassi you probably saw before leaving is a lot different from the one on ground (you can also ask your uncles). These ones are clowns, they only know how to raid marijuana smokers.
Politics › Re: The Only Solution To The Chaos In Aba Is The Return Of Bakassi Boys by slap1(m): 7:46pm On Sep 29, 2010
I admire your interest in seeing kidnapers given a hard time but, bros, I prefer ordinary MOPOL to Bakassi Boys. I know why I say so.

I don't see any problem since the rag is customized. It shouldn't worry you since she's Ok with it and you're not supposed to go there when she's on it, or am I wrong?

A question for all tall people: how did you make yourselves tall?
Romance › Re: Why Do Girls Worldover Dislike Short Men ? by slap1(m): 4:29pm On Sep 29, 2010
@Odunnu. I said that I'm not tall. It does not mean that I'm short, it means I'm not as tall as I'd wish to. Again I think if we really love people, we don't actually know why we do so.
Politics › Re: Kidnappers Hijack A School Bus Of 15 Pupils In Aba by slap1(op): 4:04pm On Sep 29, 2010
Chinenye is right. Aba State will solve the problem up to 70%. (1) The reason this kidnapping thing is just becoming serious, despite the fact that it started months ago, is because there is no govt. presence in Aba. Everything about Abia State revolves within Umuahia.(2) Aba State means the monthly allocations would be for Aba's deuelopment, not for planting trees and flowers in Umuahia. When this happens, the people can rightly ask: where is our money?if nothing concrete is on ground. (3)It will no longer be a problem if T.A. Orji pays a group of greedy journalists to write a special report on Abia State after taking pictures of Umuahia and Abia Tower from seperate angles, etc, forgetting that Aba is part of Abia State. Ask yourself why there is little or nothing to show of Aba in these special reports. Ngwa people are maltreated in that state, seriously.
Politics › Re: Can Goodluck Jonathan Lead Nigeria? by slap1(op): 3:39pm On Sep 29, 2010
The obvious reason people (including me) root for Jonathan is because we see him as less corrupt than the others. We can't easily tie him to a major national or administrative flop. Then comes the natural tendency to experiment and seek adventure and fresh air. GEJ is surely a breath of fresh air but a fresh air is not always comforting, it can also be putrid. The question now is: How promising is this fresh air? What hope does it contain? Will it have us getting nostalgic? Will it be deja vu all over again?
Romance › Re: Why Do Girls Worldover Dislike Short Men ? by slap1(m): 2:30pm On Sep 29, 2010
I'm not a tall guy but I've got a tall personality, so they tell me. The girls that I've had things with are mostly taller. Even now the taller ones keep coming. I've got something that few tall men have.

I am a pro-Nigeria

No body can lead Nigeria, no Nigerian can, but Nigeria must be lead by a Nigerian.

Lets give Jonathan a chance.

Who will go for us? We keep disqualifying everybody in time wasting.[/quote]Let's give a sitting president a chance? Are you kidding me? What other chance does he need?

Politics › Re: Can Goodluck Jonathan Lead Nigeria? by slap1(op): 10:58am On Sep 29, 2010
^^Yar'Adua, even Yar'Adua, would have done something laudable about Aba. GEJ is interested in getting every available vote from the SE hence the lip service. You can critize Yar'Adua because he is slow and apparently lazy. But GEJ is leaving so many rooms for criticism and even outright allegations of connivance. Even so, silence, at best, has been his sword and shield.

The boys siezed another Hilux truck from the Bakassi boys yesterday evening, making it two in 3 weeks. They operate with the Hilux and you'll think them Bakassi. Before you could say kidnap, they've captured you.

It might interest y'all to know that this might end up on the pages of newspapers, as usual. We won't see any police on the road. To confirm this, I could shelve my travel till weekend to bring you guys up to speed.
