ola olabiy: POSER!
Night vigil
Correct?
Incorrect?
Contextual?
Please, let's know. I believe that with vigil, night has no business coming up, as vigil entails being awake at night to pray, watch over a sick one, etc. E.g: His body is getting hotter, I will keep vigil to monitor it. |

koastar: The correct word is "it's" or it is I meant to add it to Ola's sentence, "It seems rude", so as to get: "It seems rude but is actually not". Is it still wrong? Thanks. |

Omo ibo, I got the first "no vex", you need not repeat it. We all have our toes stepped on as much as we step on other toes, so why let your conscience disturb you so? Enjoy your day. |

tpiah: actually, your question makes you seem female because it's usually women who emphasize these things.
men's own na bosoms or no bosoms, yansh or no yansh, etc.
not do women shave their armpit hair.
do you hang out with girls a lot? No, girls hang out with me a lot. (no joke intended). |

TV/Movies › Re: Nollywood Now Second Largest Movie Industry In The World by slap1(m): 2:39pm On Oct 06, 2010 |
tpiah: by now we should be aiming for quality in addition to quantity. We are the Giant of Africa and the most populous black nation, yet we have no second-hand value. We're just like Methuselah whose only 'achievement' was being the oldest man in the bible without nothing significant to show for it. Then look at King Josiah. Jimoh Ibrahim buys dead companies and makes them breath again. If he buys a company like Nigeria, his name will be Sorry. |

OMO IBO: LMAO Slap, what exactly do you write?? If using the word 'insultive' is the only place you found me wanting then I'd soon be a Professor of English at Oxford. Have you heard of the word 'edit' or 'editor' before? Even Soyinka and Achebe have their works edited before they're published. James Patterson is the current highest paid author in the world, yet he has a TEAM that helps him WRITE, BEFORE the editors begin their work. It is out of the years of self-discipline and the knowlege of who I am that will make me not to use foul language against you. Thanks. |

davidylan: We have papers and magazines in common. I read papers too as a kid but only on weekends. I remember my saddest weekend mornings where those my dad refused to buy any papers. He mostly bought because of me at a point. . . i used to go pick my choice and everyone would have to read it. It was always punch and vanguard, maybe Guardian sometimes.
A lot of the folks you mention up there were mostly opinion writers . . . fantastic guys! My day is not complete without reading. For Newswatch magazine I love reading Dan Agbese, Niyi Osundare, Mike Akpan, Ray Ekpu, Soji Akinrinade (now where is this guy? ), etc. I also read Dare Babarinsa, Dele Omotunde's Opilogue (creativity extraordinaire), Steve Nwosu, Simon Kolawole, Azu Ishiekwe, Louis Odion, etc. |
