So far on this peace of history, igbo's have proven themselves. It is evidently clear ijaws are recent people in Bony and Opopo. Strange enough, the few Bony/ Opopo persons I know like the ogolo's , jombo's and even Jaja's have never admitted they are Ijaw. Any way , the Ijaws are known across the Niger Delta as land grabbers. That was how they suddenly woke up in Warri in the late nineties and started fighting over Itsekiri lands . The only people who say they own Bonny and Opobo are Igbos not living there. The people living there presently including my friends like Chris Brown, Charles Jaja, Chris Hart all claim to be Ijaw. Some of them speak Ibo no doubt but hardly bear Igbo name.

The Jaja you often quote was either a slave or an indentured worker in Bonny. By sheer hard-work he rose to prominence. There were the Ibani there before he got otherwise Opobo would have borne UmuJaja instead.

I think what happened with all these tribes was that majority of them were Igbos but allowed their language to be displaced. So today the Igbo still exists but as second language.

Have you noticed that all the opposition from the Jo men have always been based on how different a part of Igbo like Bonny is from the rest or another part of Igbo.
They have never compared relationships between them and the places. By relationships, I mean with actual Jo men or Ijaw or whatever they call themselves these days.

They are deliberately shying away from it! If not that we can't cry more than the bereaved, ideally there should be a scholarly discussion on the origins and composition of the Nembe and New Calabar people fraudulently changed to Ijaw sounding Kalabari. I do blame this tribes, including Bonny, for allowing other non Igbo people dictate events/language so easily. The Pepple kings were powerful but lax in terms of ethnic consciousness. Same thing happened in Okrika.

The question that should be asked concerning the Comparison of Words Baikie got from Isuama, Oru and Nembe Districts and the one he got from Pepple is not whether Bonny is Igbo but how Igbo Nembe is

SlayerForever has been saying this, Nnamdi Kanu has been hammering on it but now it is becoming obvious to the blind. Judging from the attack on Nembe Palace by the Youths and the language spoken in the Video with the report from Baikie, One need to ask himself "when Nembe started being Ijaw"

Baikie stated that "Throughout the district of Nembe, Oru and Bonny all spoke but one language"
From his report and the words he got from Pepple, that is three (Nembe, Oru and Isuama) are what he saw while that of Bonny was what he got from Pepple in a haste , one will notice that Nembe and Oru spoke in FULL IGBO.
The question is where are the words spoken today in Bonny there?
The answer is still from Baikie's book. Look at the part he described the condition he met Pepple. His health and otherwise.

Having said that, I will like to clarify the "idol" part where he recorded "ọwụ" for Nembe and Oru but juju for Bonny and Isuama.
The ọwụ he recorded for Nembe and Oru is still Igbo (Aboh dialect) for charm. Northern Igbo call it "ọgwụ"

The "orisa" part is obvious Igbo as recorded in the book. The people of Aboh call God "Orisa".
Most of Northern Igboland maintain the word "Olisa" for God. That's why we have the name NwaOlisa, Olisa etc.

Ekealterego, Ofoigbo and Igboid , are you guys seeing undeniable facts in SlayerForever and MNK's ascertion in the Igboness of Nembe and Parts of Bayelsa respectively?

Nembe, Brass, Kalabari (which has no meaning in Ijaw!) are very different from Ijaw people!
