There are good men in APC and PDP, even as there are bad men within. Your new party APDA even if it wins all elective positions in 2019 will not solve all of Nigeria's problems. There will be those willing to eat the national cake at the expense of Nigerians there just as there would be good people determined to be the solution. Perfection is an illusion. Your political rigmarole across parties may not be the solution, it might actually require patience, strategy, and action.

The game of politics is about interest, interest ranges from that of the overall populace, a group of people, individuals etc. A close look at both the ruling APC, the Sheriff factional PDP and that of the victorious Markafi camp clearly point to the interest they all represent- The Political Elite

When you look at both the PDP and APC constitutions, they clearly tilt to favor the political elite in both parties. In fact, it is difficult (if not impossible) for an outsider to emerge candidate through a transparent process without the dictate of political gladiators or godfathers in both parties. These aspirants emerge candidates, win elections and continue to protect the same interest of the elitist group. Hence, the phrase, "All of them are the same".

Before the launch of APDA on June 5, 2017, I was of the opinion that the party is neither a PDP fall-back or a plan B for the Markafi camp, the judgement has clearly given the APDA an opportunity to affirm what they stand for as a party.

The APDA, unlike the APC and PDP, has a constitution that surrenders power to their the people. This is a party whose constitution erode delegate system to entrench direct primary system that will see all members of the party to partake in the election of party leaders, candidates and other elective representative.

The APDA as a party allows for a minimum of 25% elective and appointive slots of members of Youth age (18-35) in all public and party offices. It further state a minimum of 30% for women and 5% for people living with disabilities.

Why then should Nigeria people, youths and women continue to waste their time, resources and votes on the parties (APC, PDP) and factions (Sheriff and Markafi) that only protect the interest of the political elite at the expense of the common man?

I am very happy that PDP crises has settled and PDP political heavyweights will concentrate on their party. I am very happy that the Nigeria electorates will now have the privilege to discern that APDA as a party means business.

One truth we must tell ourselves is that, whether Markafi or Sheriff, PDP is DEAD!!! It has gone 6 feet in the Northwest, it is hopeless in the Northeast, it is the equivalent of Ebola in the Southwest, in the Southeast Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB calls the shot even when PDP controls government (due to the fact that APC is/was no option). In the Southsouth, the governments in power are as incompetent as the government at the center, the story is not different in the Northcentral.

The ruling APC has failed but the only option for Nigeria in 2019 is to embrace a party that they can be active stakeholders in determining candidates for elective positions, so as to have emergence of leaders whose loyalty will be to the Nigeria people not the political elite.

Tonye barcanista's problem is that he talks too much. You try to rationalize things and think your position is always right. There is something called patience and political calculation. You have frolicked with various parties over time...PDP to APC to PDP to APDA... Who knows where next you would migrate to? All these whilst yet to even launch a political career! You're not known much outside Nairaland/Social media by the way. My advice, learn to be patient; learn to be circumspect; learn to keep opinions to yourself as circumstances change frequently; learn to only speak or give opinions when absolutely necessary. While you mean well, you should understand this is Nigeria, and you can't get the ideal political landscape in any party for now. I wish you the best though.

Oyedepo has said time and again that his church pays tithes to Redeemed Church, Pastor Adeboye. Oyedepo personally would pay his own tithe to his church, Winners and the entire church's tithe to another ministry, in this case, RCCG.

However tithing is not required in the new testament, as we are under grace and not under the law.

Currently at Shiloh 2016 via the viewing centre, Bishop David Oyedepo uses John D. Rockefeller as an example like he always like to do. I am surprised he keeps making the error of saying the man died at 93, after giving half his wealth upon his sickness at age 52. Anyways, John D. Rockefeller actually Died at 97. His son John D Rockefeller Jr. died at 86. So anyone who can tell him the correct age would be doing a nice thing cos he has been making this same little mistake for many years now. So the executive should arm twist the judiciary by telling them how to punish its members abi? The NJC is independent, and its recommendations and actions is what should be in the overall interest of Nigeria. These are the few we even know about. Many more acts of corruption are certainly taking place as we speak in the executive, as Osinbajo said every govt institution is corrupt. It's sad, but it is what it is.

It is easy to see many of us claiming to be born again Christians, but still manifesting the deeds of the flesh. Jesus wants us to surrender all completely to Him. To bear fruit upward, it is necessary to take root downward (Isaiah 37:31). This root should be our Lord Jesus. For us to bear the fruits that pertain unto life and godliness, we need to be rooted in Christ. If the root is holy, the branches also are bound to become holy (Romans 11:16). This means the death of sin in our lives (1 John 3:9). This means to be born of the Spirit of God.

We need to keep checking ourselves to be sure of where we really stand. Let’s not get entrapped by the cares of this world. Having the best things in life is not wrong, and shouldn’t be seen as such in itself. It is making these things the centre of our lives or existence, that makes us miss the roots we should grow in.

The so-called amount of $32bn that PMB met is now about $25-26 billion today. So it's only getting worse. Bottom line, PMB should sit up,np more excuses. Obasanjo met far less reserves,and crude oil sold for way less, our population to GDP was also far less,yet the economy grew.

N1.51 trillion (24.92%) is supposed to be from projected independent revenue (whatever that means ),and N2.2 trillion is deficit. Bottom line, they called it a budget of change, which would depend less on oil proceeds,given the already low prices from last year, hence the low benchmark. Yet they're still using oil as an excuse.

Because only a few people are producing real wealth especially foreign exchange wealth from export, More Naira accumulates within the upper part of the pyramid.
We all know what they do with excess money.
They hoard the dough Swiss account Cayman,Seychelles resulting in the removal of forex from Nigeria and living behind excess naira.
Excess naira mean in circulation means excessive inflation.
This makes it difficult for the government to put more naira into circulation.
Based on the disfigured excessive consumption based economy left behind by Jonathan, Nigeria has to look for an $25 billion dollars per annum just to feed our import everything habits.That extra $25 billion is equivalent to our flexible reserve.
If Buhari has allowed Jonathan's economy to continue, It is safe to say that we would have been in the same shape as Venezuela by now with an humanitarian crisis on our hands

I am not even talking about our Forex reserves. Yea, low prices affected that to a large extent. But how would you address the policy flip-flops of the current govt, particularly the CBN with regards to devaluation? Most of the problems we're facing is largely down to the current administration's reactive approach rather than proactiveness. It appears there's no solution in sight.

For those asking for solutions, if PMB had focused his first year on just one thing, reviving our refineries to 80-90% capacity, the demand for forex would have dropped. If he had devalued as far back as last year September, without making the naira float freely, most of our current challenges as a nation would have been avoided.
