I'm not trying to defend the Bishop, but is there anything wrong in investing funds even if you're a pastor? Let's be objective, rational and not sentimental here. Even Jesus gave the parable of the talent, where the master rewarded those servants that multiplied the talents and rebuked the one that returned the one talent. Read Matthew 25:14-29.

Whether the Valueline Securities Company is right or wrong is left for the courts to decide, but it looks like they've lost the case already.

PS: For those saying Oyedepo has been banned from entering the UK, his churches are flourishing there even as we speak, From Manchester, to London etc...

May God help us to be successful and always make news rather than having to read, comment and fight over news of people making waves in their own right.

Even the so called statement of result some persons are posting here has fake written all over it. There was no Katsina State in 1961 like someone said.

Also, we that finished secondary school in the mid nineties had results like A1, A2, A3 etc. A1, B2, B3 etc. was introduced later (after our time) and not before. To think Buhari had B3 in one of the subjects (History) and D7 in English Literature (when in our time and before then it was P7) smells of forgery.

Your arithmetic is flawed my friend. There are always variables to consider. It's not 1+1=2, you people should stop displaying ignorance and make Nigerians look like empty brains o.,.

Let me do some calculations

Average crude oil price in the last one month
Dec 2014 = $60.70 (www.ycharts.com/indicators/average_crude_oil_spot_price)
This is -21.16% from previous month ($76.99)

Average crude oil price in the last one year = $105.48

Old PMS price with partial subsidy = N97
Old PMS price without subsidy - N138/N140, but let's assume it's = N138

Actual oil price at $105.48 = N138 PMS (without subsidy)
New oil price at $60.70 = (60.70/105.48)^138 = N79.41 ~ N80.

Without subsidy, PMS price should be about N80.

However, let's assume because of the fluctuations in price, we can allow for 20% fluctuation.

This implies,
Fluctuation allowance = 0.2*N80 = N16

Actual PMS price without subsidy = N80 + N16 = N96

To allow for some partial subsidy of say N9 per liter,

This implies,
Current PMS Price = N96 - N9 = N87.

*This doesn't put into consideration the recent devaluation of our naira.

LAGOS — Following the continuous decline in
the prices of crude oil in the international
market, the amount the Federal Government is
paying on subsidy for Premium Motor Spirit,
PMS, has dropped to N4.48 per litre.
This came as the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation, NNPC, assured Nigerians that the
ongoing strike embarked upon by members of
the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff
Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, and the
National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas
Workers, NUPENG, will not disrupt the supply
of petroleum products to members of the
public.
The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory
Agency (PPPRA), in a document obtained
from its website, yesterday, puts the
market price of PMS at N101.48 per litre, as
at December 12, 2014, compared to N108.38
per litre as at December 9, 2014.
According to the PPPRA, the Expected Open
Market (EOMP) of fuel is N101.48; Landing
Cost -N98.15; Ex-Depot price is N81.51 per
litre, while the regulated price is N97 per
litre.
The assurance by the NNPC is against the
backdrop of long queue of vehicles that
resurfaced at most filling stations in the
Federal Capital Territory, FCT, and its environs
yesterday on account of the strike announced
by the unions.

I believe if we were refining all our crude for local consumption then the price would have dropped much further to almost half. But let's not forget we still have to import refined petroleum products. Also, we should know the price of can go back up anytime and it would be foolhardy to increase it back anyhow. Let's also not forget the partial subsidy that government has been paying. Am sure they would have done something about it as well. All in all, it's a good development for the GEJ administration.

I remember Winners Youth Convention 1998, theme 'The Pursuit of Purpose', Bishop Oyedepo invited him and it was there I first began to hear of knowing your Purpose through either your Gifts/Talents, Your Calling, or Your Choice...and for sure it was a foundation that shaped my decision to go into media even whilst being an engineering student. RIP sir.

The funny thing is some people may tell their husbands quite alright. The tensions may cease with his help for a little while, but at the slightest opportunity of a discord between them, if she finds herself in a private place with this other man, she'll cheat before she can calm down. The problem is with her subconscious, and she has to deal with it from there.

phlemzy: America treating the largest black nation like one small Island country. There's something Obama dislikes about GEJ's personality or his style of government and he's yet to speak on it.
You people should smell the coffee. Since Nigeria signed the Anti-gay bill into law, the US and UK have been determined to get back at us. Do you think they're happy that we're now the biggest economy in Africa despite their criticisms and still one of the fastest growing economies in the world with GDP growth year on year averaging almost 7%. Nigeria is a big country in Africa and vital to their end time strategies. They'll continue to use many other coded ways to frustrate Nigeria. Was it last year or so I read they are no longer the biggest buyers of our oil but India and probably China. They can't spill it out but it's evident they're not too happy with us. Even last US-Africa Summit few months ago, when all African leaders were to take a group picture with Obama, they relegated the President of Africa's biggest economy to the back, instead of being at the centre of the picture with Obama. It's subtle but has deep meaning.

It's your heart that truly matters, that's why the battlefield of life is in the soul or heart which consists of your mind, will and emotions). The devil is targeting the soul, cos that's where the battle is won or lost. Many people's perception of right and wrong is faulty even as they try to interpret scriptures based on their own understanding. To me, the thing is, pattern your life after Christ Jesus, prayerfully seek the truth and you'll find it.
