My application has just been approved!!! MSC Educational Administration and i only took 2 weeks just like d PHD.
I really cant hide the excitement but i know it was Gods divine favour. This post is to encourage anyone that wants to change a career path but is not sure of how to go about it. with God and doing proper research on how to gather the right documents, u can only expect God to finish the remaining part. Am sincerely grateful to some people dt helped me with ideas and review of my SOP...may God bless u all @fredunna(for ur constant support everytime i buzz u) @jnyuwa (for ur additional input) and @beverlyd (she showed me the area to focus on).

They didn't work on my application. I did it myself but gave them to review my SOP and asked some questions where I needed help. Please get to work and then ask questions where necessary. Jerry can review your SOP. He is not in school now. Maziude is very busy now but tries to assist once in awhile.

Hi House, i don't know if you will find this information useful. Please for those seeking post-grad studies which require supervisor .. please be careful what you post on your social media stuff. Also get your LinkedIn account up to date and standard. I just found out right now that my potential supervisor checked out my profile o LinkedIn.. Please to us that will find this useful...Don't joke with it...You never can tell some supervisors might want to have an idea of what you are ...God bless

I git this message from my supervisor (Contact graduate studies on Monday and let them know that you will cover your tuition and living expenses and your supervisor cover the consumables for your research. You will provide financial payments upfront for your studies. Yes it will after the acceptance of supervision and finance is assured. This the same for all students.Contact grad studies, they will contact me and the process will be initiated) i applied for Winter session. does this sounds like a partial funding ? please who has been in this kinda of situation before ??

Oh ok thanks boss... well he just told me this on Thursday, and even asked me to discuss it with my family and get back to him on my descion lol.. very friendly man.. tho I have a 3.00/5 cgpa that is why he said he couldn't secure funding for me but he will foot the research bill

it is clear bro, you supervisor can't get you scholarship now but if you can pay your tuition fee yourself then you are guaranteed admission. If you are capable of funding yourself then let him know so he can get your offer letter across to you asap. Best of luck

No just means that you pay all your school fees by yourself now or when you arrive in Canada.

Means no scholarship for you at the school, but if you are willing to pay your expenses by yourself, they will give you admission.

I dig you boss, but this is a lecturer I talk to once in 2-3 month , I was even shocked he replied.. this is a reply I got after 3 months of reaching out to him, and according to him Na my persistence dey make him like me and accepting me.. so as this message is it's certain we won't talk until after 2 months

You should chill with your messages before he gets irritated.
From what he posted, he is working on securing funding for you.
He will always be a mentor when you get accepted but bombarding him with that kind of message up there might chase him away. Please stop and contact him again only to remind him.

This is also to other prospectives, please, these guys are not from our part of the world where praises and ego brushing are required to move ahead in most cases. So please only respond with tangible and professional answers.

yes boss, been o it since last year october. aplied for fall 2017 but my potential supervisor didn't make a quick choice on my profile cos of visa constraints he said he wanted someone who will resume sept and he know how the Nigeria/African visa stuff works saying he has a 9ja student in is group and it took him 1year+ to get visa. so i had to defer my admission application to winter as he advised. i will call him mail him and text him and i was able to get this email from him on Monday ..

I will find something in my group for you as soon as the funding source is confirmed. I am impressed by your persistence) we have been on and off about admission since last year october.. is that a positive sign i mean for people who had experience with supervisors

Those serving still have a chance of getting admission,but note that when you are admitted,you won't be cleared until you produce the nysc cert.
All you need do is,upload in .jpg format the following:u will need it
-statement of results or 1st degree cert
-O'level
-Passport
-nysc cert
Those serving should note that they need to upload their call-up letters ,tnx

you don't need to reach out to MUN. They will decide and reconsider your application between the end of October through early November. Goodluck

Hello Gurus, @austinepee4 and osemigho I wrote the school and asked that my admission application be shifted to shifted to winter 2017, I even attached the name of my potential supervisor to the email written to grad school and program coordinator. So praying that things go well.. thanks for you advice

I followed your advised, finally spoke to my supervisor and he said the reason he didn't make desicion on my profile is due to the visa constrains for people from African especially Nigeria,since he has 2Africans in his group and it took almost a year for a Nigerian to get visa/study permit so he said I should write to grad studies and notify them of deferring my admission application till winter session, and he told me I one of the top students he is considering. He even said I should keep in touch and also be patient too.. lol

Most times the graduate admission office are responsible in issuing out admission or not after recommendation from the academic department in which the applicant applied. So get intouch again with your supervisor and inform him/her that a decision has been made on your application and ask how he/she can come it. If it's likely, your admission MAY be revised.
