Guys !! Keep up the good work!! Sorry I haven’t been even active preparing etc.. My G Austacus.. don’t think I have forgotten my angel so soon lol.. missed talking to you To the poster give your profile in details I graduated in 2015 after 7 years in school lol started service 2016 nd ended 2017 and till now I never worked.. in my employment history I only added volunteering work amen letter to support Also guess please try to participate in volunteering especially a good course and added to your application! Oyinbo people dey like am gan.. it could be in your field of work or humanitarian cause PS- in my own opinion please applicant learn to read the IMM question before answering!! If you been refused Canada visa before write both SOP and LOe( to explain how you tackled the refusal).. I wrote 4 pages SOP and 2 pages LOE makano: I can see you dont really have a gap. In additon to what I have said earlier, you really need to work on ur SOP by convincing the VO that you are truly going to Canada to study and nothing more, and this should be very easy for you cos I can see Career progression in ur application. So settle down and take your time to write a convincing SOP, I will also advise you write an LOE in ur next application countering the reasons for ur refusal.. Pick them one by one and tackle them individually. And also work on ur Finances and submit relevant financial documents to proof ur financial capabiliy.. I hope you get ur visa in ur next application with tis little info I have shared. Peace |

TRV JOURNEY ——(not the Full gist cos e long)
This would be my first longest post on NL and I am doing this to bless someone.. I joined the Canada visa thread around middle of 2016, after my father friend suggested I comeback to Canada via advance diploma at MuN..Due to my curiously nature, I started searching Info and stumbled on nairaland I read from Part 1 to Part 13 ( or there about then ) . I started looking for admission( I have a bachelor of Agriculture- 3.0 overall cgpa). Agriculture is usually( usually I say) research based cos of the nature of Moreno practicals than class work. Googled schools of Msc agriculture related and got 5 which include do Dalhouise, Uni of Manitoba, Uni of Alberta, Uni of Saskatchewan and MUn.. I wrote almost 50 research supervisor in 2016 and I got the no space response.. Guess what MUn that was the least preferred school was were I got a response from a Dr who asked me apply to graduate school and indicate my interest in working with him. Now here is The wahala( lol) I applied for fall 2017 around November 2016 and guess what o wasn’t given admission. I literally call and emailed my proposed supervisor and he said he is yet to decide on my file( cos he had experience with 9ja student and visa wahala as it take some time for the most getting visa) .. he told me over the phone that he is interested in working with me cos of my persistence. Told me to contact the graduate studies and tell them to shift my admissions to winter 2018, I did it and was approved free of charge. I spoke to my supervisor on phone, we chatted on Whatzapp like buddies.. as of October he called me to informing no of inability to get funding for me due to my low cgpa but cos he promised me admission. I have to prove I can pay my tuition and living expenses. Omo I gree straight( he asked don’t SOA to prove as Africans- 9jas will come to Canada and leave school claiming no money)
November 16, 2017, supervisor called me casually asking me if I would love to work with a research topic etc I was saying YES, YES me that want to enter Canada. This man spoke to me like my GEe and my father after the whole talk he said he has approved my admission and would get it by the week. boom it happened.. TRV application started March 13 paper route not a nice experience and boom refusal April 13.. I can’t cry.. I was on the forum since 2016 I have seen approval why my own go different.. is ok I manned up ordered gcms note.. During my TRV heartbreak I met Josejonn( God bless you ) and Frankrobben ( you seen a brother I never had but still have).. the Race to reapplication started. my Gcms not arrived no genuine reason, VO wasn’t convinced enough. So SoP to the resecue. I wrote 4 pages SOP and 2 pages of LOE( proof read by Josejonn, Frankrobben and myself).
2nd application- Saturday June 16, the race and wait began.. July came, August came( eligibility review started) oya medical drop e nor drop, sept came( spoke to frank and took the bull by the horn as I went for medical sept 3 at children’s practice omo I was scared oo come see me dey shiver when I Hear HIv, syphillis etc. After medical trouble started medical was updated as passed 2 weeks after to passed) , October people started seeing approval( I was like God what did I do? You did admission you must do visa. Fasting and prayer, seed sowing, vows, omo I close to God like never before - see Ehn God is a mighty one, reading bible verses and saying them to myself . His ways are not mans ways).. during October and November period, I met ibbond, Austacus you two I won’t need trade y’all for anything we meet in Canada, these guys are angels on earth
The November, December and January drew me closer to God thanks to visa.. I learn about faith and positive mindset, there were times I gave up and lost up( at some point a dude posted approval who didn’t sound like a believer and I am like God me I Am serving you and I am here now) . Infact I printed a Canadian visa page use pen to write my name pasted it on the wall and stared at it everytime, I dreamt Canada, I read Canada And here I am PPR Visa application made me know God in different ways, that is why I can say God ways isnt mans way. I stocked no to my guts even when the apply to other country startedc Canada was mine. I applied to other country cos the advice was too much..
To people we chatted and I didn’t now mention names I am sorry, to those who trusted me to interpret their gcms note , thanks.. to those who listened .. thanks
NOW I CAN NOW GIVE a stake ON ANYTHING RELATED TO CANADA STUDIES AND TRV. I no be guru..
I will be back with list of documents that I submitted
Na joy no make me commitment grammatical error |

Approval after 32 weeks(7months), this gives hope to all June’s and July’s cc Austin, Viber and Ralf.. Faith keeps Yanju going Congrats bros and bless.. did you send your update LOA before PPr if yes please when We will all rejoice kerry101: Hello All,
Approval Alert.
Applied sometime in March 2018, myself and parents. Was rejected in May. I came across this forum after my application and after seeing the application documents been submitted by various applicants, it was safe to say although grudgingly that the rejection was deserved. After going through the thread, I updated my SOP with personal goals and aspirations as opposed to being generic in my previous application.
He asked for additional documents to include with the previous submitted docs. I submitted: All IMM forms Sponsor's SOA Letter of Acceptance Statement of Purpose Offer Letter from my work place. NYSC Certificate
He asked for: Payslips CAC Document Sponsor's Letter Visa from US WAEC Certificate Introduction Letter and Study Leave from my work place PPA offer letter during Service.
Submitted June 5th Biometrics June 12 and 13 Medical request November 15 Medicals done on the November 22 Passport request January 10 Dropped passport January 11 Picked up passport January 18.
I (We) prayed and believed God and God did it. I deferred my admission to Fall 2019 so I have some time to keep on working, wait and prepare. Also thanks to all those active members cos I'm a silent one that keep on sharing their knowledge of the process on this forum. God bless you all and all TRV hopefuls will not be disappointed cos God answers prayers. |

Hey boss kindly check PM 123abcclown: 123abcclwon reporting live from St. John's
A lot of us kinda outgrow the thread (I will too soon), but I just feel we all should create time to help one another scale what is in my opinion the most difficult hurdle of this process - the VISA hurdle.
I attended orientation today and the number of asians that are resuming school were way more than half (they move together in groups and speak their language at will). Anyways, bottom line is that we Nigerians can and should put conscious effort into helping one another to get TRVs.
A little bit about life in Canada may help some of us on the thread make smart decisions about pursuing this whole thing. Because some are actually better of elsewhere, as not everyone's success is tied to Canada.
I very importantly have to say a very big thank you to a member of this forum, cocosmite. I reached out to him before I left Nigeria and he has been of tremendous help to me. Brother actually cooked and brought home cooked meal for me at the airport! Allowed me stay in his apartment for three days, and helped me settle in! Some angels live among us people. They breathe air like you and I (some even like girls with big bum-bum ) but they are nothing short of angels. I am really grateful.
So I guess we all catch the message, let's help and continue to help one another, keep the cycle going and all.
I school at MUN, if you have questions about the school please feel free to ask here and I will answer to the best of my knowledge. |

Ok sir Bless amozag2018: @ sleekysoft that is not true and what you are saying does not make sense. So if you are reading from 20 to 1 you are saying after "Failing" eligibility review in "application 4" he was then sent a medical request in "application 1" does this make sense to you.
I am saying yes at the bolded in your quote because your criminality is the background check that is ongoing (Australia, USA, and New Zealand are some of the countries they are checking if you have any criminal record in the different countries). See "Activity" 1-28 in your GCMS notes it shows the different things that are checked.
However, you have the right to your own opinion so you can believe what you want. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by sleekysoft(m): 12:59pm On Dec 27, 2018 |
Sir I am not suppose to comment but had to.. when reading application you read it from 20 to 1, the first things you see is the recent activity in your app, which the last activity you see like activity 20 is the previous activities Sir).. you can check the criminality section and see where it says new value, old value, status are yiu saying the application 6 which has ciminality show passed and application 7 showed in progress His medicals doesn’t have issue.. he knows why his application was sent for secondary review and I have advised in what to do hopefully to remedy it bro.. mine was sent for secondary review and I already knew before I got gcms note, got my gcms not and it confirmed it.. amozag2018: @Henkubert The First person that picked your application updated it has passed as shown in your Application 1
But in your GCMS screenshots, you did not show us Application 2. However, the 3rd time they picked your application you will see that your medical changed to "In progress" because they are checking it again (this is what took your application for secondary review) which was the reason your passport was not requested for after getting your medical request 21st of August and getting your Medical passed since August 27th by CIC.
Furthermore, during your Eligibility review, you can see it is showing as "Failed" in application 4 and later updated in application 5 as "Review Required".
This review is the cause of your delay... I believe your application will now be reviewed in Canada (In Ottawa/Vegreville or any other office as they deemed fit).
My Ten Cents
I believe you still stand a chance in getting your Visa if you can send them the following before they close your application:
1. An updated statement of account (make it a one year statement) + the receipt of the payment you made.
2. Any other document showing ties to Nigeria that you did not send before ( for me I submitted my Educational certificates, Wedding certificate, children birth certificates, my wife and children International passports, several awards won and other professional certificates recognize worldwide after sending this my eligibility changed to "recommend interview" when I saw my GCMS notes. I am just waiting for the date of the interview... my resumption date is September 2019)
Enjoy your day! |
