@Point read ur comment again. Its the reason u gave I call Nigerians cowards. Are you new Ŧŏ the running of the game in the country. The Lackadaisical manner NFF manage the game in the country. You sit down in beer parlor Ŧŏ watch EPL yet your league is in shambles. Yet you call the Nigerians corrupt. What have you done or willing Ŧŏ do to make the country progress? Being corrupt is better than being a coward. We have Ŧŏ start from the little Ŧŏ go for the vast. |

Politics / Are Nigerians Coward? by sley4life(m): 9:08am On Dec 03, 2011 |
I have observed with keen interest that Nigerian youth exhibit traits in which we can term cowardice. The country seems to be loose because the Citizens can't fight for their Rights. The last time I saw a serious march to good governance was more than 2 decades ago. The Government do not put the citizens plight in their mind. They are known to dodger on the people they govern. The people of Cote D'Ivoire rose up and chased Laurent Gbagbo and fixed in a new leader. What about Egypt, Tunisia, Libya etc. But can we stand up for our Right? There is going to be a showdown in January regarding fuel subsidy. But how many youth will turn up for the protest. But all we see is people sticking their butt on the chair on the internet lashing the government but they have not fashion out a way to air their views. The Country football have witnessed a torrid decline. None of the country's football teams will participate in 2012. Right from the U23 male and female, The Super Eagles etc. I called for a showdown in the Glass house on December 10th-15th but the response I received was shocking and only 3 out of 160 million Nigerians have signified their interest to partake in the march. Even the Nairaland Moderators are not really doing their best to enhance the struggle as its only Romance and some pasted news from dailies you see on their front page. Its time for Nigerians, the youth in general to rise up and stand for your right. Where you can get a paid job, basic amenities, good road, good medical facilities, constant water supply, constant power supply etc, Thank you |

Soccer Fans in the country, its time for your voices to be heard. You will have the opportunity to interact with NFF President Alhaji Maigari, Ademola Olajire, Bar Chris Green and the so called NFF members that have run down the game in the country. We have devised a master plan to have an organised rally come December 10th-15th, 2011 and the venue is the NFF Glass house. We have to troupe enmass For more info the link is http://www.wix.com/nigeriansoccerfansar/fan |

I have gotten 3 people who have signified their interest. I am waiting for more. This post have been here for hours and some citizens have turned blind. But they come out to lambast the coach. The coach is as incompetent as the fans. Its our right to voice out |

i have posted in earlier thread for the Moderators to put as a headline on the need to come en mass to the glass house for a peaceful protest. There is no need having Nairaland if it wont serve any good for the plight of Nigerians. A mass protest is on its way on the 10th-15th Dec infront of the glass house so we can make our views known to those egg heads in the NFF |
Sports / Peaceful Protest To The Nff Glass House by sley4life(m): 6:43am On Dec 02, 2011 |
Peaceful Protest to the NFF Glass House on 10th-15th December 2011 It is imperative that the woes in the round lethal game have come to an extent where Youths in the country needs to rise up and make their voices known to those concerned in managing the game in the country. In this move, i have decided to organize a peaceful protest to the NFF Glass House between the 10th-15th December,2011. We fans are the main problem as we don't have a common goal to voice out. Now is the time to come out in Mass to make this happen. We shall be tagged cowards if we read and ignore such message that will better our football in the country. Those resident in Abuja and are willing to attend should email naijafootballfans@yahoo.com PS:I would implore the Nairaland moderators, if actually they are also concerned about the plight of Nigeria football to kindly put this notice on the front page. Thanks |

Eguavoen Gets Sack Letter No meetings over Eguavoen .Gets sack letter today in Marakech By George Aluo Friday December 02, 2011 • Eguavoen Photo: Sun News Publishing More Stories on This Section The board of Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has resolved not to waste time, energy and resources discussing the fate of Dream Team V handler, Austin Eguavoen, declaring that he would be sack in Marakech immediately after the game against Algeria win or lose. The Eguavoen tutored side, who many have dubbed as Nigeria’s worst team ever is billed to face Algeria in the city of Marakech today in a game that to a large extent, is only a mere formality having lost their first two group games to hosts Morocco and Senegal. NFF sources told Daily Sunsports yesterday that unlike in the case of Samson Siasia, whose sack came after series of meetings by the technical committee, the federation won’t go into the luxury of holding meetings over Eguavoen. He is to be handed his sack letter right there in Marakech. In fact, the scribe of the federation, Barrister Musa Amadu has been mandated to fax the sack letter to Eguavoen from Abuja,” our source said. The embattled soccer federation has not hidden its displeasure over the terrible poor showing of the Dream Team V with Alhaji Aminu Maigari declaring that the team was nothing but a disgrace. The NFF while berating the team noted that it gave Eguavoen and his boys all they needed to do the country proud and pick the London 2012 Olympic ticket. The fumbling Dream Team had in their first game lost by a lone goal to Morocco and fell 1-2 to Senegal in their second outing. Eguavoen has surprisingly insisted that it is not over yet for his side. He told reporters yesterday that he would work on the psychology of boys with the aim of beating Algeria while hoping that Morocco do him the favour of over running Senegal in Tangiers. A board member of NFF who is still livid with anger dismissed Eguavoen’s optimism as baseless declaring that the coach was only telling a rooster and bull story. http://sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/sportsonthehour/2011/dec/02/sportsbreak-02-12-2011-001.html |
