You may be right but there are some moral questions not answered in the bible such as
1. Slavery
2. Genocide and war crimes
3. Marrying underaged girls
Today we see all these as sins but maybe not in bible times. Don't you think that God's revelations are needed now just as in bible times?

From my study of history, the above listed are a reflection of the highest levels of societal civilization at that time.
1. Slave labour replaced by machines
2. Genocide and war crimes are still happening in less developed societies but as a result of the insatiable human need for control and power.
3. Underage marriage was and is prevalent because in old institutions and the “backward” institutions of the present, there was/is no formal education to inform girls to think independently before marriage.

I’m not saying I’m right but I think the Bible is a cumulation of historical fact relevant to christianity. Thus, our current times as christians will be part of this history for generations unborn.
