The sneak preview of photos from Terry G’s video shoot of ‘Pull Of’ suggests that some Nigerian artistes have little or no concern for their audience or the message they pass across by their actions or otherwise.
Despite the Nigerian Broad coasting Commission’s ban of some music videos for supposedly displaying unclad scenes, erotic/suggestive dance moves and containing lewd lyrics, some Nigerian artistes are still hell-bent on courting controversy by shooting videos that will most likely end up falling under the ban list which begs the question: are the artistes shooting such videos deliberately seeking attention or is it now the norm to display almost unclad ladies in music videos?

A woman accused of being a phony doctor has been charged with a crime, police say, after injecting a brew of Fix-A-Flat, cement, mineral oil and Super Glue into the body of a woman who wanted a larger derriere.

The self-described doctor’s ”own butt is the size of a truck tire,” according to a report in The Miami Herald, which stated: ”Investigators suspect she is part of an underground network of scam artists who have been offering ‘pumping parties’ and home buttocks augmentations across South Florida for years.”

The materials injected by Oneal Ron Morris, a transgender woman, almost killed the patient, police say. Morris on Friday was charged with practicing health care without a license, causing great bodily injury, a second-degree felony. Story highlights: Police were shocked with Morris’ appearance when they made the arrest. ”It’s not clear whether Morris was a victim of her own concoctions.” The injections into the woman’s buttocks had “hurt to the point that she was screaming,’’ Miami Gardens Detective Michael Dillon said. Police said Morris sent the woman home after sealing her wound with Super Glue.

The woman, whose name was not released, sought medical treatment, but fear and embarrassment kept her from telling doctors what happened for months. Police say she’s now burdened with medical bills, can’t work and continues to suffer from the ordeal.Injections of silicone or plastic into the buttocks are especially dangerous because the material can easily leak into one of the buttocks’ blood vessels. If the substance reaches the heart and lungs, that can cause a pulmonary embolism.

The buttocks are “one of the worst places for injections,” said plastic surgeon and blogger Dr. John Di Saia of San Clemente and Orange. He said: “Booty injections not infrequently go badly. Qualified doctors tend to not offer them, so people can find themselves in not-so-qualified hands. Buttock enhancement … is less predictable than many other operations.”

Indications have emerged that former FCT Minister, Malam Nasir el-Rufai may be quizzed and likely face prosecution over alleged breaches of the Official Secrets Act following his massive reproduction of restricted and classified government documents in his memoir, “The Accidental Public Servant,” which was launched yesterday in Abuja and now on sale nationwide.
The book, which details El-Rufai’s nearly 10 years in government, is being studied by the appropriate government security agencies for proper legal action against the former minister in line with the law of the land.
According to a source, “The Official Secrets Act, which only ensures that classified documents are de-classified only after 10 years provides that — a person who (a) transmits any classified matter to a person to whom he is not authorised on behalf of the government to transmit it; or (b) obtains, reproduces or retains any classified matter which he is not authorised on behalf of the government to obtain, reproduce or retain, as the case may be, is guilty of an offence.
“We are taking a close look at El-Rufai’s book as it relates to the “massive reproduction of classified documents” and may invoke the necessary sections of the law where breaches are occurred”.
The source noted that “invoking the relevant law as it relates to breaches of the official secrets act is to ensure that classified documents remain classified as prescribed by law.”
A cursory look at page 533 of the book, el-Rufai lavishly published Federal Government of Nigeria’s classified memo from the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President dated June 7 2007 and entitled “Re: Sale of FGN Houses in Abuja-Disposal of former Presidential Guest Houses attached to the office of the Vice-President.”
In addition, on page 535, he also published a memo from the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, FCT Transition Committee dated June 12, 2007 and entitled “Re: Disposal of former Presidential Guest houses attached to the Office of the Vice-President.” While on page 596, a memo from the Special Assistant to the President to the FCT Minister dated April 27th 2006, entitled “Re: Application for Private Audience with Mr. President.” On page 597 is also reproduced memo from late Hon. Justice Bashir Sambo to President Olusegun Obasanjo dated April 13th 2006 entitled “Re: Application for Private Audience With Mr President.”
The source further disclosed that similar classified documents were also reproduced on pages 601, 602, 606, 607 and 608 of the book.
“All I can tell you now is that as a responsible agent of the state,we will not allow such a thing like this to go unchallenged,by the time we finish our assignment,we will act in accordance with tje law of the land,nobody is above the laws of the land”, the Source declared.

Head coach of the Nigerian national team, Stephen Keshi has moved to explain the reasons behind his declarations that he may leave his post after the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The ‘Big Boss’ shocked the football world while making the announcement at a press conference in Durban on Tuesday but he has now moved to explain his comments.
“It doesn’t really matter what people think about what Stephen Keshi is doing. The most important thing is what I am doing here and passing on to my team. If back home in my country, they don’t appreciate what I am doing with the team, so be it,” Keshi explained.
It was widely reported that Keshi fell out with top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) following the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw against Burkina Faso in their opening game of the competition with the former national team captain threatening to walk out on the team.
Keshi also hinted in a thinly-veiled remark that there is no love lost with the NFF officials.
“You can’t force somebody to love you. You can’t force somebody to accept you. It has to come from within,” he stated.
Following his 10-year coaching career that has seen him manage the Togo and Mali national sides, Keshi stressed that he could be on the move from his current post after the 2013 Afcon.
“We are all professionals. If God grants me (the Afcon title with Nigeria today), the very next day, I might pack my things and leave for another country.
“It is the same thing with (Jose) Mourinho and all the other top coaches in the world. I could stay on and I could leave. It depends on the situation.
“I am a professional and we will see how it goes.

Louise, from Camberley, Surrey, says her children know she has lovers but they play no part in their lives.

She says: “They are protected in that way. Like all other little girls I was told about the fairytale romance but the truth is marriage isn’t really working for most people.

“I think it is time we built a new relationship model, one that actually works. If it were down to me I would make sure there was a get-out clause in every set of marriage vows.

“If someone had told me at 28 that by the time I was 35 I wouldn’t be with my husband but would be with four men I would have said, ‘No way’.

For that simple fact alone you should be able to personalise a marriage contract. In my opinion, a promise of fidelity should not be included.”

Relationship expert Judi James said: “She’s wrong to dismiss long-term relationships and marriage as a joke. You don’t need a calculator to have a truly fulfilling love-life and when you start counting lovers and orgasms there’s probably something missing in your life.”

A single lady believed to be in her early twenties has been raped to an unconscious state by four friends around Cemetery Road in Warri, a popular town in Delta State.
The victim, who is now battling for her life in an undisclosed hospital, was said to have boarded a taxi cab with four male passengers from Odion Road to her residence in Aguowe Street, Off Mac Demot Road.
The driver suddenly took a different direction towards Cemetery Road to the chagrin of the victim. The victim said she challenged the driver of the taxi but the other passengers drew a dagger and threatened to kill her if she raised any alarm.
They, thereafter, drove down to a storey building on the Cemetery Road where the miscreants had a field day raping the victim until she became unconscious.
However, luck ran out on them as the matter was reported to the Quick Response Squad of the Delta State Police Command in Warri, who swung into action and arrested three suspects – Akpofure, Seih and Obrakpo – all of Nos. 24, 64 and 66, Cemetery Road, Warri.
Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Famous Ajieh, who confirmed the arrests in Asaba yesterday, stated that the police were currently on the trail of the fourth suspect, one Ebeme.
Ajieh said the arrested suspects had confessed to the crime, adding that one Black Berry phone used by the suspects in recording the rape action was recovered.

The Zamfara State government is planning to ‘’arrange husbands’’ for about 2,000 widows in the state.

This was made known by the state Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajia Balkisu Bungudu.

In May last year, the Kano State government- owned Sharia police (Hisbah Borad), arranged marriages for about 100 out of an estimated 1,000 widows and divorcees in a grand ceremony witnessed by guests and spectators from the state and beyond in a scheme aimed at assisting widows, divorcees and spinsters to get married.

However, Bungudu said that as a result of this the state government had already registered 1,998 widows preparatory to marrying them off, adding that the mass wedding would be sponsored by the government.

She did not disclose the amount budgeted by the government for the marriage jamboree.

The Commissioner who spoke to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital expressed concern over the increase in the number of widows in the state.

According to Vanguard THREE more suspects were arraigned, yesterday, before a Port Harcourt Magistrate Court, Rivers State, for the October 5, killing of four students of University of Port Harcourt, in Omuokiri–Aluu community.
Their arraignment brought to 16, persons charged to court for the killing of the students, Ugonna Obuzor, Toku Lloyd, Chiadika Biringa, and Tekenah Elkanah.
The three suspects were brought under a five-count charge of conspiracy to kill the four students. Those arraigned were Finebone Jeffrey, 23; Joshua Ekpe, 27 and Abang Cyril, 27. Their pleas were not taken.
Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Woke, in a short ruling, said his court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the case and adjourned the matter till February 28, 2013.
The other 13 suspects were brought to the court premises but did enter the court room.
Meantime, the Human Rights Council of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Port Harcourt branch, has applied for the case file of the suspects. Chairman of the branch, Mr. Austin Ojeukeudo, told newsmen at the court, that the association wants to ensure that there was no miscarriage of justice in the trial, adding that the body would monitor the trial to the end.
The charges preferred against the suspects, read “you and others at large on October 5, 2012, at Omuokiri, Aluu community in the Port Harcourt Magisterial District, did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit: murder and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 324 of the Criminal Code Cap 37 laws of Rivers State, 1999.”

Zach was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 2009. A rare, cancerous bone tumor, osteosarcoma affects just 800 people each year in the U.S., with the average age of diagnosis usually around 15 years old. Since learning of his cancer, Zach has gone through months of chemo, a major hip replacement, various minor surgeries and four thoracotomies (lung surgeries).
Doctors recently told Zach the cancer had spread to his pelvis and lungs – and they had run out of options for treatment.
According to the description on YouTube, all proceeds from “Clouds” will go to support the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund, which was started by Zach’s parents to help raise money for cancer research, “in hopes that kids diagnosed tomorrow will have a better chance for a cure.”
