https://media.idownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/iPhone-6-and-iPhone-6-Plus.png Putting an end to months of rumors, speculation and analysis, Apple today finally showed off its eighth-generation iPhone smartphone with a higher-resolution 4.7 and 5.5-inch screens, improved cameras, new sensors, a dedicated NFC chip for mobile payments and more. In announcing the new phones, which Apple named the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, to the crowd of technology journalists, fashion media editors, analysts and investors Tuesday morning at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook said the device will come in two sizes. He also played a teaser video showing off its design, which looks just like in leaks. “I hope you’ll agree, they’re the best phones you’ve ever seen,” Cook said. Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller, then took the stage to talk specifics. Here’s our recap of the most important things you should know about the new iPhones. All-new A8 processor The phones run Apple’s in-house designed 64-bit A8 processor built on the 20-nanometer process technology. It has two billion transistors and provides up to 20 percent faster CPU performance and 50 precent faster graphics. https://media.idownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/iPhone-6-faster-graphics.png The new M8 processor Apple’s second-generation motion coprocessor, also in-house designed, continuously measures motion data from the accelerometer, gyroscope and compass without waking up the main A8 processor. But unlike its predecessor, the M8 can also tell the difference between cycling and running calculate elevation thanks to the iPhone’s new barometric sensor and measure distances travelled. https://media.idownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/M81.jpg The barometer is great for fitness apps because your iPhone can now “tell if you’re going up molehills, mountains, and everything in between,” according to Apple. Nike is already working on a new Nike+ app, which will take advantage of the barometric sensor to track elevation. . Retina HD screen The phones feature what Apple is calling the Retina HD displays, “a new generation” of mobile display technology. It’s “ion strengthened” to make it stronger and still uses sRGB-active LCD technology. As per the rumors, Apple is providing the new iPhone in two screen sizes: a 4.7-inch variant called the iPhone 6 and a bigger iPhone 6 Plus outfitted with a 5.5-inch panel. https://media.idownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/iPhone-6-Retina-HD.png The iPhone 6 has screen resolution of 1,334-by-750 pixels and the iPhone 6 Plus has a full HD 1,920-by-1,080 pixel resolution screen — that’s 185 percent more pixels than the iPhone 5s’s 1,136-by-640 display. Both screens have a “broader” viewing angle and tap a number of technologies to make the display assembly thinner, such as ultrathin backlight, photo-aligned IPS, an improved polarizer and ion-strenthened glass (no word on sapphire). The new landscape view for iPhone 6 Plus Given the iPhone 6 Plus’s massive 5.5-inch display, Apple figured it should make best use of the available canvas. Introducing a brand new landscape view for the iPhone 6 Plus, a software feature which lets you see even more content. https://media.idownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/iPhone-6-landscape-view-2.png It works with built-in apps like Messages, Weather and more and there’s even a special landscape mode for the Home screen! https://media.idownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/e0528f7b566dd12545b51b5ecf0e6f14bab1cb8c_large_2x.jpg Design All the rumors and leaks were true, this is the most leaked iPhone yet. Borrowing some cues from the iPhone 5s and harkening back to the days of the original iPhone, the iPhone 6 has a seamlessly-designed Unibody chassis that features smoothly rounded edges with the Apple logo embedded on the back. The iPhone 6 is just 6.8mm thin while the iPhone 6 Plus measures 7.1mm in depth. By comparison, the iPhone 5s is 7.6mm thin. https://media.idownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/iPhone-6-continuous-design.png The glass front curves gently around the sides. “From the glass front,” Schiller said, adding that the phone features “anodizes aluminum back” with a “stainless steel Apple.” The power button has been relocated to the right side of the device for easier one-handed operation. The volume keys and the mute switch are still on the left. All hardware keys are nearly flush with the chassis which, combined with the screen’s rounded edges, creates a perfectly seamless appearance while allowing for a better grip during manipulation. 1. The Average African IQ is 70 »»= What the Bleep is this? Are africans this lame? How can a continent as big as africa average an IQ of 70. If you didn't know 70 is pretty Lame 2. This saying "If you want to hide something from a black man put it in a book" »»= I'm sure the white retard who wrote this thought about the average african IQ which is 70. And he studied africans. But this stuff is actually true. Africans don't read books the few ones who do either read their school books or the Holy Bible or Quran. It would help to read any kind of book you come across. 3. Africa is fairly non-urbanized »»= Only 39% of Africa's population lives in urban areas. Africa is home to only two megacities with a population greater than ten million: Cairo, Egypt and Lagos, Nigeria. The Cairo urban area is home to somewhere between 11 and 15 million people and Lagos is home to about 10 to 12 million people. The third largest urban area in Africa is likely Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with about eight to nine million residents. What I have to say. I'm an African and I know how it feels to see this facts and I know that they are true. Ultimately it all boils down to the African youths to help change Africa for the better. These facts are old facts stated over 2 or 3 decades ago and it still is true, but we could all change that and make the world see Africa like the great continent that is, It would really help if Africans became more interested in books and really help Africa grow. Reading books would help develop your mind and change africa. LET'S CHANGE OUR WAYS. Help Develop AFRICA And Admin Please try to fit this in a Good board. |

These image wasleaked on the web a few hours ago. The new range rover sport follows the styling theme of landrover’s new design language, which was previewed by the Evoque cross-over. The engines of the present day model are expected to be carried over, in addition to the 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The range-topping supercharged variant with the 500bhp+ 5.0 Litre V8 will eventually join the line-up to give the Mercedes ML63 AMG,BMW X5M and Porsche Cayenne Turbo S a run for their money. What do you think? https://img.naij.com/n/05/1/range_rover_leak.jpg http://www.slipost.com/leaked-images-of-the-2014-range-rover-sport/ |

Church chiefs in Italy have launched an investigation after an Italian priest set fire to a photograph of former Pope Benedict XVI in front of dozens of stunned worshippers. Father Andrea Maggi, 67, ignited the picture during a sermon, saying that Benedict had “abandoned” the Catholic Church. He then went on to compare him, to Costa Concordia captain Francesco Schettino, who was been accused of fleeing his post and leaving passengers on the stranded cruise ship. Father Andrea, a priest for more than 40 years, told the packed service at Santo Stefano church in Castelvittorio near Imperia: “I’m doing this because he has not been a Pope, he has abandoned us. A shepherd never leaves his flock.” Parishioners including children, looked on amazed as the picture of Benedict, who resigned last week after eight years as Pontiff was enveloped in flames before the priest let it drop to the ground and burn itself out. Father Andrea is unrepentant, and said: “I’d said that I would burn his picture the day he left and that’s what I did. I’m glad what I did has caused such an outcry. I don’t have maize in my head. We are not in a communist state. “I’m not interested in his reasons for leaving. The job of Pope is for life. He should not have left. He’s behaved just like (Francesco) Schettino. Where is the proof of his faith? “The Pope said this was the year of faith and he then leaves his post as head of the church.” Bishop Alberto Maria Careggio, of the diocese, said: “This was an abominable action. I’m mortified by the actions of Father Andrea who in the past has always been a very generous and sensible priest. I’m arranging a meeting with him as soon as possible.” Benedict said he made the shock decision, the first time a Pope has resigned in 600 years because he “felt tired”. However by stepping down he has angered many Catholics and some senior Church chiefs as the job is for life. Locals in his parish, which nestles in a picturesque medieval hilltop village, have described him as “very strict and ultra orthodox”. Before the incident Father Maggi, who has been a priest there for five years, had been complaining bitterly about Benedict’s decision. Gianstefano Orengo, mayor of Castel Vittorio, who witnessed the incident, said: “Certainly everyone knew Father Andrea was upset and angry at Benedict’s announcement. “It was a shocking thing to see. I know it may be a difficult time for him but it was still a serious thing to do.” He pulled out a picture of the Pope and then used a nearby candle to ignite it as he started his sermon. “It lasted a minute or so and he then said Benedict had acted in a similar fashion to (Francesco) Schettino who left his post when the Costa Concordia struck rocks and with passengers still needed to be saved. People were shocked and started complaining and several including myself left the service. There was no justification at all for it even if there are mitigating circumstances. “People were shocked and started complaining and several including myself left the service. There was no justification at all for it even if there are mitigating circumstances.” Meanwhile cardinals in Rome have begun their discussions ahead of setting a date for the start of the conclave which will elect the next Pope, with the selection process expected to begin in the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel next week. http://www.slipost.com/rev-father-burns-pope-benedicts-photo-during-sermon/ |
