It's not wise to comment on another couple's marriage, because, just like it's evident in this case, we don't know the full story. But from the OP's narration, he may have assaulted her, yes, but we don't know why and obviously the issue had been settled amicably or seemingly so. The OP also said the wife packed and left with her 2 kids for the sole reason of getting the hubby and her mother to reconcile....? It's not rocket science. Her experiment failed. Go back to your matrimonial home. unless the marriage is already a failed one, which we also don't know. and the emotional blackmail of how she helped him abroad bla bla bla...is not enough reason to assume he must do all you desire. Saying the bloke is tired of the marriage is funny to me cos he never asked her to leave. He maybe tired but nothing in the story above indicates such. |
I had to share this write up...(forgive the grammatical errors) Those of us always ask of what are the achievements of GoodLuck Jonathan. Real Achievements of GoodLuck Jonathan Unveiled. We hereby challenge anybody to bring forward the achievements of Buhari, Babangida, Abacha and Obasanjo altogether |
Okpuzu01: I am happily married with one kid. My problem is that, my in laws v been mounting pressure on my wife for money. She gives money to them without my consent. I opened up a business wich eventually collapsed as a result of my wife giving her parents money from the business. Her whole families are depending on her to survive. I v seen that we can't make any meaningful progress in life if things continue the way they are. I v talked to my wife severally and yet, she is not ready to change. I am thinking of taking another wife. When I was looking for a wife, ^^ was the reason an elder gave me not to marry a gal from an extremely poor family. @op I feel you should not let her access your funds if she has run down her business. I had a friend in university whose dad was about to send the mum away cos she continuously gave her lazy brothers money in the village and told her husband she gave my friend (her son) for school. Marrying a financially unfaithful wife is similar to knocking on the door of poverty. |
geeez: You've splashed your low intelligence and knowledge over the wwwverify each of those projects cos am sure the guy you said has a low intelligence was correct in some projects. And also try to understand how govt works before attributing any 'democracy dividend' to the governor of your state. while you are at it, learn to give credit to whom it is due. and stop insulting another person cos of a difference in opinion. |
Tadon200: who made them go on strike in the first place? was it not the same f.g ? so why should they not be paid. abi do you want them to resume class in empty stomach? if this is how you think you are a wicked man.in any part of the civilised world...atleast the parts i know, you dont expect a pay if you did not work for it. if kindness to you is that the strike should continue then I am happy you are not God and cannot judge my thoughts. |

safarigirl: it's people like this that are calling ASUU selfish. Your own is just for them to call it off for 2 months so YOU can defend YOUR thesis, fuq all the other students who aren't on the verge of graduation, once you've graduated, ASUU can strike for 3 years if they like. Ask the #TeamASUUcalloffstrike and all you'll hear is "I want to graduate....I've not written 1st semester exam...age is not on my side...." selfish reasons. The FG, ASUU and students are ALL selfisheven ASUU is not ready to sacrifise any salary for a strike they called. The strike is now 5 months old. 5 months! My brother let me be civil and not call you a limited thinker...You dont kill a mosquito that is on ur head with a gun. stop playing politics with peoples future. |
odua son: Thank you very much!at last one right thinking nigerian student, the others brains seem to be in reverse mode.To them ASUU is wicked to demand for a complete restructuring in the nigeria university sector.you are way off the mark if you say ASUU is not fighting for increase in salaries. they have already been given some billions to share for their allowances...and they still want soo much MORE. wake up bro and smell the coffee. |
ASUU should just call off the strike, even if its for two months, let me defend my thesis and use my msc to go to the next 'thing' abeg. anybody supporting this strike is obviously not a student or is benefiting from the strike. ASUU has 4new demands 1.) the much publicised signing of the agreement by AGF et al 2.) no victimisation of lecturers [which includes their salaries for the past months which they did not work for]. 3.) a not to be publicised 'personal' demand. 4.) the fg should pay all the promised money to a cbn account in two weeks. as an msc student, i have assisted some of my lecturers to carry out some of their duties. i have read a detailed article on what the personal demand is all about. I have read a copy of the contentious 2009 agreement. And if anybody still thinks this strike is for the benefit of the student, think twice. my two cents sha. |
i had always doubted that 75% of nigerians were illiterates, but after reading through this thread, hmmmm, i am so sure any more. Read the Punch editorial and read NOI's response. Stop attacking her personality or where she comes from. And by the way, almost every thread here on NL has so many tribalistic comments. Tribalistic people are the major virus infecting our nation; worse than corruption. Naija people grow up. |
she left december last year. no woman has ever been able to fill that vacuum. |
@op, I know that nothing will ever make me become a penticostal christian so I dont come to NL to start a thread titled 'Is repeating blablablashakarabaraba speaking in tongues? lets learn to respect other people's religion. i hate boko boys but i still respect muslims and their beliefs. respect is reciprocal. and yes i believe purgatory exists. |
funkybaby: why do i need my man's permission before i build a houseare you married? let me guess, NO YOU ARE NOT. |
187 choiiii!!! and he went screaming he had no more security when 2 were withdrawn! lol Nigerians are not so easy to deceive any more. Amaechi smell the coffee. |
Baba_Eleko: Gullible Nigerians, they'll go the Israel, Jerusalem everywhere still come back to. Nigeria and continue siphoning our resources. Christianity is fast becoming a joke these days. Heard Oritsejafor went with them too and even prayed for Oduah. Y'all Christian better fight and pray for sanity to return back to ur faith because it's now in the hands of dogs. SShit is pissing me offabacha, babangida, buhari, atiku are christians too i guess ![]() foolish religious bigot. odua's stealing has nothing to do with her religion. corruption is not peculiar to any tribe or religion. |
size38: Yet some brain dead fellows want us to keep supporting a failed Administration of GEJ. Aba- port harcourt road is a federal road. what has GEJ done for the people of Niger Delta? look at the amount of money budgeted for the Burial of Patience Jonathan in Okirika. 6 f**king billion naira. As a Rivers and Niger Delta person, GEJ to me is a complete waste of time and resourceshush!!!! before you keep magnifying your ignorance. i may have been to aba only once in my life (for a colleague's wedding), but i know that portharcourt rd, aba and enugu-ph expressway (via aba) are two different roads. the former (which is the onus of this thread) is a state road while the latter is federal road. and if i remember correctly Orji Uzor Kalu was at one point or the other a PPA member, cos I read an earlier post where they said 15yrs of pdp, thus political affiliation is not the reason for the decadence observed in aba and abia state as a whole. if you elect a thief, even if he is from HOLY OF HOLIES political party, he will still steal when in office...i hear T.A orji is 'sanko'-tested. (sanko = prison) |
Ki-Katanga:and who said they were not re-settled and compensated? why do foreigners like bbc and this kataka katanga not mind their business? if you must paint naija black atleast be honest...its nigeria, it cant be that hard. |
the best is the nysc band. nothing llike it. yes, its possible to be in two cds groups. talk to the cordinator and president. they will handle d paperwork. u can even switch cds groups...its more complicated sha. served in maiduguri, borno. i was a member of 2 cds groups. in borno, band was d bomb...not literally sha. lol. |
alexleo: Which problem do I have? I graduated in the 90's. An employer of labour now. I know Nigeria politicians and their dubious attitude very very well that's why I am telling you students to be careful of your support for them. Supporting them has no good to yield for you.finished in the 90's? good for you. good old days, dear sire. in the present university system, lecturers are very corrupt. from my bsc days in imsu to my msc days in uniport. MOST lecturers are LAZY!!!! and corrupt! and they are far from POOR. the lecturers might have gotten an extremely good bargain for stupendous monies to be paid to them from late yar adua. its fair. its their luck and good fortune but must they keep students at home to achieve their personal aims? at the end of the day, they are killing our education. the other time they went on strike cos of their retirement age to be extended to 65 or 70....cant remember now. endless strikes for personal gain. I pray to God that he should bless me so that when my kids are of university age, i can give dem good education outside nigeria. not only fg is corrupt. ASUU is corrupt. state govts are corrupt. local govts are corrupr. market women will cheat you wella...they are corrupt. some pastors will Goza their members, corruption in our churches. even students pay with cash or kind for grades....corruption. meaning corruption will not finish today. oya ASUU call-off the strike. God bless Nigeria. |

saw this comment and decided to share. it may not be very accurate but gives a rough idea of what ASUU is really fighting for. " Ok, here is the breakdown The question is what does the Vice- chancellors of Universities do with all the fees paid by students, and rents paid by staff living in university quarters?. A breakdown of the fees show that students pay for maintenance, light, medical, sports, library, lab/audio visuals etc, lets say in a hostel the actual students supposed to stay in a room are 4. this number multiplied by hostel charge of N10,000. equals N40000, an average second generation university has at least 30,000 students. Multiply this number to the fees paid by full time students of N25,000 this equals N7500000000. This money can be used to maintain infrastructure, provide equipment in the Universities, but, this isn’t the case. University management mis- management all the funds and expect government to provide money. Vice-chancellors connive with bursars to loot the system, after their tenure, they aren’t probed. What happened in south south university after their riot a few years back. Each student was asked to pay N10000, from diploma, long distance, to Ph.D students. The school has a total population of over 40,000 students. Multiply that amount, it sums up to N400 million. They spent less than 10 million fixing the damage caused by students, what happened to the rest? What happened to the money? Part time students pay over N60000 a session. Multiply that by 10000 part time students it equals N600 million. The least fees a postgraduate student pays is N150000 a session. Multiply that by 3000 postgraduate students admitted, it equals N450 million. Some universities charge N15000 for P.G forms, multiply that by 3000 people who may apply it equals N45million. Now, for post ume exams, a students pays N2000 for the forms, multiply that 5000 students who may apply into a university, it equals N10 million, there’s also the sale of forms for pre- degree and part time undergraduate programmes, monies run into millions of naira each year. The question is what happens to them? Government established TETFUND, there is ETF. This establishment raises billions for tertiary universities. The truth is until corruption is checked in the system it will be hard for us to move ahead. Now ASUU wants 3trillion naira? hmm, I laugh.ASUU should call off d strike' |
your write up shows you are an articulate and enlightened person, but check up on some facts before writing. eg knowing more about PIB will answer your NNPC question. Gbawe: Thank you. This is a big problem for Nigeria currently. I.e too many Nigerians are vested in politics of clannish enmity against one thing/group or the other to ever see what matters. How on earth can the clamour for resource control now blind us to the argument that the Government at the centre is failing horribly to give value for the 52.7% of all allocations it currently receives to administer Nigeria? |

Ninejaywon: Even if u die in malaysia will u den be buried there? It's high time we d "youths" come face2face with dis menace enveloping dis country.Revolution is getting really very close. In 2015 we can use the ballot boxes to make our voices heard. revolution might solve one problem, but create many other problems. I can name many coutries that have had revolutions recently but you cannot show me one country where it worked. violence will never solve any problem. violence leads to more violence. but I was aware they stopped paying university workers when ASUU refused going back to work. |

slawbaba: mr President answers to some questions was very poor .Even the president doesn't know if boko haram still has a leader, he doesn't know when ASUU strike will end .This answers shows that he is not in chargehe explained d ASUU thing exhaustively. if you still dont understand look at the mirror and question the intelligence of the image u see. |
i was thoroughly impressed. He may not be the best orator, but he is a good achiever. they say 70% of Nigerians are illiterates which is why president, obj inclusive, use basic english during their pmc to enable better understanding by a greater number of people. |
I paid full attention to Mr President. He spoke well on ASUU, bunkering and 2015. nepa, roads, and size of cabinet. he was practical and convincing. he spoke in lay man's english. Am surprised most people failed to understand. some things treated are still asked here. the channels lady and SUN editor were fiesty and asked good questions. the TELL man should think of changing professions. God Mr President to preside well over Nigeria. happy 53 years of independence. |

some of my colleagues had survived a fatal accident one nite in which the driver died. the police promptly rushed to the scene and forced them to drag the presumed dead driver out of the wreakage. and with their various degrees of injury taken to the station for murder...it was the evening of the next that they were releases and able to see a doctor, of cos after securing the supposed free bail. nigerian police men are not human. |
tmotmo: Is for Allah alone? Nope, he is working both Jesus and allah? Abi? Osama worked for "Allah", Sadam Hussein too, while Adoph Hitler, a staunch catholic worked for Jesus to exterminate millions of life, likewise Stalin. Records are there to verify there religious affiliations.must you look for a way to deflect attention from the truth? Did you not read the message of your boko haram boss? govt of allah by allah for allah? even during the kenya attacks, the al shabaab terrorists killed non-muslims after askin them the mother of prophet moh'd. al qaeda claim they are on a 'holy war'. i try to be open minded with all religions but comments like these make me want to say islam is a religion with no value for human life and should be outlawed, but i wont. i always remember one of my friends, a muslim, albeit a yoruba muslim, who is one of the nicest people i know. not all muslims are bad people. but the blood thirsty vampires amongst them give the religion a bad name. least i forget, the egyptians have also rejected and outlawed the muslim brotherhood. |
He remodelled airports to international
