The policy is not a sudden one, its not just because of names I have lost. I previously benchmarked it at 200names, now I am at 148 SH owned.

Will most likely stop at 150. Its part of the tweaking I talked about.

As to the 75names, it depends on the quality of the names. A $300 name can easily be sold for $600(quick flip) or more but a $8 name might not be easy to offload for $100

It all depends on Your strategy & what you want.

There are times i have a financial need, I look at how many BB names I can Offload to achieve that target. I stopped doing this when reported sales on the slack channel was on the increase one time(names that were sold off to domainers & got sold within a short frame)

I am currently doing some experiment now, will see how it pans out

Sometimes it's hard to tell. I currently have 3 names in the brandable market that I bought in auction 300k currently tied down 2 years now with no sale. Buying names at auction requires deep pocket and patience. Now I've decided to slap 3 more years of renewal on them and forget it. If it doesn't sell I count my loss.

I'm so happy to finally report my first sale. I remember bumping into this thread back in October/November last year. I had to read from page 1 till the end (about page 7**) I was really intrigued by the sales reports here, still not convinced or clear to me, I enrolled for Oga Iyke class back in November and bought just one one geo domain and some two more keyword domain December and February. I bought this very domain on April after I had to relearn and learn Domaining by myself thanks to my mentor here Slimjosh43, I disturb am too much for phone call and chat... he gave me ginger to reg this domain that it is 50/50 cause of trademark risk, glad the risk paid off. I even used the open follow up letter he dropped here. I must say that particular Open follow up letter really helped as I got lots of response from end users in my other domains I did follow up with today.

Ok it's quite tricky.

So when I bought the name I started outbound by 11pm which was about 8am in Queensland. After sending few messages I got an offer on the landing page for $100 as I stated in my mail that the price was $400 but I am open to offers.
So I responded via than that the price was low and they should make another offer, then I sent a counter offer of 350 with a message "what do you think?" He then responded with 150 and it was already 3am and I was still sending mails so I just responded with "I'd accept your offer but is valid only today" and continued with other mails.

2 challenges I faced

1. So he didn't pay and I didn't not who out of all the mails sent in the offer as most of the website used info@.... Com .

2. No other person responded to my mail so my options were limited

I decided to follow up on all the mails as I always do with all my domains:

Outbound today, send follow up the same day asking for offer and then another follow up with a reduced price (I always check Dan to see if there was traffic after 24hours as this would show some of them visited the landing page). I always get a response +ve or -ve.

So in this case I used the follow up with a price but a different pricing strategy:

I reasoned that they also use $ in Australia so my $400 USD might look big. Since the only offer I had was 150 for a name 24hours old I decided to send a follow up (page 1018 *life saver*). The price in the mail was $216 AUD (Stated it clearly which was $200)

As I was sending less than 5 minutes 2 mails came in one was mocking saying he would pay 4.95 for a two day old domain
The second was my GUY he just wrote $180 and he used his own email this time so his full name came out as used on Dan. I responded with "I already accepted your offer on yesterday but $200 is the best I could do (me I was thinking AUD)" Baba did not respond

9 am this morning which was about 6pm Australian time he sent another offer this time with $180 so I figured he felt I'd up my price since he didn't pay yesterday and I accepted. Paid immediately transfer and money in my account less than 1hour.

For your first sale on Dan you can't use BTC so you'd need an exchanger to collect PayPal for you at 320/$ I think. Try justi4jesu

I use my phone I realised it's faster for me than laptop and I get my leads from Google map

Did you reduce your price or just resend your sales letter to your leads?

I don't usually add price to my first email and follow up. The domain landing page has a fixed price (in this case $750) and I watch the traffic which was about 100 last month after the emails sent. So they must have gone to check the price.

The second follow up is the one with the price (see page 1017 for follow up template) in this case $250 which is $500 difference so the guy jumped on it

Yes I do,but going through the thread I have seen alot of times when registrars ask for confirmation/verification by requesting sending of ID card or voter's card,and I don't have either so I am wondering in case I come into such issue if there Is way to go about it since am about to start domaining and have none of them
