Exactly my opinion, too. Students on study visa of 1 year travel with one way ticket without issues, how much more a super visa of 2 or more years for older adults... The least duration given at POE for a super visa 2 years and as high as 5 years, so do they expect a return ticket for someone coming in on a 5 year stay? In fact, her health insurance is important at POE than return ticket. The mum can simply tell them she is on a super visa and would buy her return ticket when she is ready to leave but I doubt it she would even be asked because the status of her visa is on her passport already. Older parents or grandparents can't seek asylum because they are also dependant on their family members that invited them. They can't even work with it so I believe they won't have issues at POE because of a return ticket. But with a visit visa even as a great great grand parent , you must have your return ticket within 6 months But nonewisthanding, I respect people's choices. orjohn24: 1 Like |

I believe everything should have been normalized by now as a lot of people boycotted their airline from Nigeria after travelers were raising their complaints with the way they were being treated enroute Adisababa to Canada towards the end of last year. Were you invited? If yes, have a copy of your invitation letter with you, the contact of such person should be available in case they want to reach him/her on your case (like they did late last year. Can you imagine?). Have your phone connected to internet, also. If you are going as a tourist, hold your hotel booking along with you even if you are staying with someone else. You may cancel immediately you have passed POE. Let your work ID be on your phone to show you are working legitimately at home, let your debit card be with you. Be ready for them from any angle. NO GREE FOR ETHIOPIAN AIRLINE OO Above all, I wish you a stress free journey and please, come back to share your experience at Adisababa to see if they have relaxed their tough rule on blacks when you finally land in Canada Shalom bigfatthing: 2 Likes |

IRCC response is like a raffle draw It has gotten nothing to do with who applied first. Only God knows how the sorting is done Are we even sure IRCC is done reviewing August and September applications? Don't be surprised a June applicant may still be waiting for a decision here You can raise a webform for update if your application is more than than the processing time on their website for Nigerians, but while you wait, be hopeful and pray. I believe you should be able to book a one-way ticket on a super visa if students could fly in with a one way ticket. Just orientate your mum coming in with that super visa on what to say at the POE if questioned...."THERE WAS NO RETURN TICKET FOR MY LENGTH OF STAY (MAYBE 2 YEARS) AS A SUPER VISA HOLDER WHEN I WAS SEARCHING FOR MY FLIGHT. When a webform is raised by applicants and treated by IRCC webform agents, IRCC update your tracker if the webform raised is linked to your application portal for the VO to see. You will notice this only on your tracker (and not on your application portal) with this caption: "we have received your update" OR "we received your enquiry", aside the 2nd February last update on your tracker. Some IRCC webform agents may push an application forward to the embassy in charge for decision if they find it "SO URGENT" While it is uncertain when you will get a response from IRCC as regards to your child's application, you may raise another webform if you didn't get any response from them in the next 2 weeks from the day your tracker was updated. Someone on this thread raised a webform for her child too not quite long and she got a PPR 3 days later for her baby This is just my opinion Haryour124: |

To book one way on a visit visa?? CERTAINLY NO! In fact, they won't let you board from Nigeria. If by chance you just managed to board by LUCK(which I doubt can happen) you won't be allowed entry into Canada but deportation straightaway (God forbid). Ethiopian airways still bothers and may refused those with return ticket to board to their final destination to Canada from Adisababa layover because it's a VISIT VISA, how much worse a one way ticket If at all Ethiopian airline will let you board from Adisababa to Canada by chance on a visit visa with your complete return ticket, they will tell you to call your family members on a video call and let that fellow show them his or her PR card or international passport with your own WIFI. Imagine you don't have Wi-Fi on your phone They showed travelers to Canada on a visit visa shege pro max even with their return tickets. Besides, how would you explain to the border officers at the POE on why you booked a oneway ticket after you were able to convince the VO of your financial stability? Don't try it, please 🙏 The further devaluation of Naira made the cost of air ticket to skyrocket this much. Keep checking all the time for price tickets day, night and midnight. I pray you see a favourable ticket fee. Shalom stfadaanthony: 3 Likes |

I forced myself to sign in to answer someone who needs guidance on ticket booking that now made me a bit active on this thread after one ugly encounter on this thread with one Mobility or Mobile whatever username. Sadly, the admin on this page took to his side. Imagine him coming here to start raining curses on Nigerians as regards to illegal immigration and I told him cursing isn't not the best approach. It's the same tongue you will use to pray to God. I let people see the consequences of an action if they embark on it at the same time, respecting your choice. I told him we don't need those that were raised up with curses on this platform. If you don't know how to control your aggression, or you have any family problem, don't throw the anger tantrum here. I am against illegal immigrants myself but who are we to start cursing them. I told him you may not be an illegal immigrant like them but you are also a sinner at one point. It is wrong coming to a public forum with curses on people you don't know or see. That was how the admin was deleting my own comments but was leaving his own curses for himself and not me. I wasn't even supporting illegal immigrants but his approach was terrible, and letting him see was my offense. The admin was bias so I had to leave. dafeoroyo: 1 Like 1 Share |

To all expectant (PPR) applicants, while you wait, be hopeful and at the same time check and re-check your supporting documents to see if there's any that you can upload via webform to improve your chances before decision is finally taken. Having a previous traveling history could be a + but not having it isn't terribly bad as long as your documents are well packaged WITH PRAYERS. So don't be discouraged For instance, if you are married and you aren't going with your spouse, your spouse can write a consented letter that he/she is aware of your (SHORT) visit to Canada and assures your return. If you are single, you can get a letter of leave approval from your company strictly addressed to the VO of the Canadian embassy stating the period of your leave and they are aware of your SHORT visit to Canada while on leave at this period. Don't just submit your payslip, ID and bank statements. Let the VO knows your company is aware you are going to Canada for a SHORT STAY. If you are self employed, explain to the VO how your business will be running while you are away for a SHORT WHILE. Anything that would make the VO see your return, INDIACATE IT Check your travel itinerary and ensure it is detailed enough. You may ignore your flight booking because they will cancel after 24 hours, if you don't pay. But let your hotel booking be inclusive. Some hotels accept payment on arrival. They will just need your credit card details to see if it is genuine and charge less than a dollar to give you your confirmed booking details. Include your booking number( and indicate for confirmation purpose in it in your intinary details) in case the VO might want to confirm the authenticity. Let the VO see how you will spend your days in Canada. Include your shopping days to get things for your spouse, children, parents and siblings in Nigeria. Book hotel accommodation (but don't pay yet) and let the dates correspond to your purpose day of traveling. The date you indicated to land in Canada must be the day you must check in. The day you intended leaving must be the day you you have to check out. And above all, pray. Please, I am not a travel guru or expert. This is just my personal opinion oooooooo so let no one attack me because I bear on my body the mark of Jesus Christ 4 Likes |

After showing a convincing fact to the satisfaction of the VO that you have strong economic, home and financial ties, you said air Canada no be small money The issue is Nigeria has history of abusing opportunities in Africa continent. Many of the almost 3000 asylum seekers for 2023 are doing fairly well in Nigeria. Some asylum seekers has 10 years multiple entry visa and with wisdom and patience, they can get a better pathway. But no, Nigerians want quick quick and sharp sharp opportunities, thereby, affecting other citizens and making things difficult to those coming behind. Now, what about the case of almost 2000 asylum seekers that were rejected? The home they are running from is where they would be coming back but with IMPLICATIONS- Deportation, whereas they had the opportunity of going and coming in the nearest future with multiple entry visa they had with them initially. Those that have history of going to the US and coming back have 95% of getting Canada visa on a platter of gold (with right documentation). You will see them receiving approvals within 2 weeks of application because of what Canada Government saw as "INTEGRITY ". Now someone deported from the US for visa violation MAY NOT RECEIVE Canada visa EASILY I do advise people before you carry out any action, weigh the consequences to the benefits. If you apply for asylum and it was not accepted, it will lead to deportation and most likely have an effect with your application to other western embassies and you will lose your multiple entry visa of many years on your passport, too. But if you maintain your visa status, you can still come back in the nearest future and it can boost your chances of getting approved easily to other western embassies. I am not against anyone's choice. But sometimes the bible says...."Above all wisdom is the principal thing". If the consequences of your actions will outweigh the benefits, don't try it Kennyg290: |

Nigeria dominated the highest applicants from Africa continent for asylum. Now they might be very strict in issuance of visitor visa from Nigeria. They did free visa promo in 2023 and almost 3000 Nigerians refused to come back through asylum. That's JAPA abuse!!! Ashirioluwa: |

In addition to this, Samina had a point but he is throwing anger tantrum because of his refusal. Just because he was refused doesn't mean others would be refused. Visa issuance is all about grace. If his friends could receive, others could receive too. Sincerely, OJC is strictly DIY study route or DIY PR route, and 99.9% of visa approval are students and not visit on the group. Even the student visa route isn't 100% guaranteed. Applicants still share their sad news of refusal and GCMS. I know some people that applied for study visa upto 3 times this year alone before they finally got PPR. I guessed they have the resources available that made them keep re-firing. Truth be told, we are now very aware that Canada has now been slow with their timeline process as the number of days keep increasing. Nigerians are now applying for asylum oo. It is only 1 guy that I know out of many people that came in through visit visa that hasn't applied for asylum because he trust God for a miracle. He said he can't compromise his faith to lie and deny his God's commandment because of earthly things when God has better things for him in heaven at the end of his life on earth(base on the reasons people apply for asylum to him is distasteful). I felt sad when someone we both know has gone to apply for asylum barely few days of arrival and this person is doing farely well in Nigeria. In fact, Nigerians apply for asylum right from airport once stamped in. Why would people who has 5 years or more multiple entry visa apply for asylum? It's a different case if it were to be single entry. The reason is this: many of them have blown their trumpet to colleagues, friends, relatives, community members, e.t.c. that they are now "RELOCATING" to Canada. Imagine saying you are relocating to Canada on a VISIT VISA, when you don't know what will await you. It's a different case if you are going via study, work or pr route. Some even sold their properties to buy air ticket and use the rest as pocket money. So the shame of people seeing them back home after shouting their ((relocation)) wouldn't let them go back again. Some don't even have any properties to depend on when they return because they have sold all. This is what I do tell people. Don't sell your house or landed properties because of VISIT VISA. It's a terrible risk. Houses and land appreciate speedily in Nigeria. Don't force your family members or carjole them to sell your parents house or land because of VISIT VISA. Imagine selling your house for 30M because of visit visa. How many years would you work as a visitor for you to gain back your 30M. Funny enough, this money should be joint ownership for some family, and because you carjoled them, they gave you a larger % out of love with the hope of seeking greener pasture, but they never knew you gamble with their own share of inheritance. I do advise people, if you got a visit visa and you have a stable job, try and look for a way (if it is possible) to ensure you secure it for about 3-4 months (even if it is without pay). Lias with your boss, if possible. If you have your own functional business, don't close it down. Keep it running if possible. Set CCTV everywhere and keep a trustworthy person there. Let them know there's camera watching them everywhere. You can monitor anything from your phone now. Then use the 3-4 months you are in Canada to spy. Use it to make connection if possible, and pray to God for divine connection. You have many years of multiple entry visa at your disposal if the first time didn't work out. But the problem with our people is IMPATIENCE. They can't wait for beans to be done, yet they want to eat beans. I wish everyone waiting for ppr a successful approval in Jesus name. orjohn24: 13 Likes |

It happens ooo. The reason is because sometimes, an airline may not have a flight going to your destination at that point in time, so they partner with partnership airline. For instance, Iberia is in partnership with British Airways. You may book Iberia but they may re connect you to BA, if need be. I have never had the experience personally with two schengen stops, too but I have seen a lot of people falling into this trap, ignorantly. Imagine the trauma you experience missing your flight and paying extra to re- book because of what you were ignorant of. Air Morocco then partner with Turkish airline sometimes. Once you land in casablanca, they may connect you with Turkish airline to Frankfurt depending on the availability of their own airline to Frankfurt. Yes, when emirates flight was still available in Nigeria, you need to get a transit visa to Dubai when having a stop in Dubai with another airline before boarding to your destination from Dubai, except you travel with emirates airline, then you don't need a transit visa to Dubai before you enroute to your final destination I have never flown emirates because I use cheap Ethiopian airline anytime I go to Dubai 😍😂 Eriokanmi: 1 Like |

Exactly! It's the same thing we are saying. As long as it is one stop over, regardless of the European airline, then it requires no transit visa. Once you have over one stop over, then it requires a transit visa because sometimes, at a particular point in time, airlines do partnership. If they don't have any flight available that is going to your destination at that moment, they will partner with a partnership airline. There are flights going from Paris to Toronto from Nigeria (with one stop) but some may be ignorant to unknowingly pick the one with two stops in different European countries probably because of low fare. But they won't let them board from Nigeria. Imagine the psychological trauma of missing your flight and paying extra to re-book because one lack information oluayebenz: |

That is what our general belief has been. But now some airlines are now into partnership. From the screenshot below, Air France doesn't have any flight to Toronto, instead, they reconnect you with KLM (my own belief). I have heard people complaining about this 2 stops in European countries with transit visa requirements, was why I dropped my two kobo. I have used Qatar but their liquid stuff disapproval to board with you was my disappointment. I don't want to remember what they trash from my hand luggage 😕 😒 Eriokanmi:

I hope the flight details in the picture below reveals more to you that it is possible to have a stop in Amsterdam aside Paris, occasionally. The bone of contention on my side is that once you are having more than one stop in an European country, then transit visa may be needed. Except if the rule has changed. REGARDLESS OF THE EUROPEAN AIRLINE, ensure it's one stop and NEVER ASSUME. The flight details screenshot below is showing two stops with Airfrance departing from Nigeria. They wouldn't let the passenger board from Nigeria without any schengen visa anyways, when having more than one European country stop over. Eriokanmi: 1 Like

Please, when having a stop over to any European country, don't let your stop be more than 1. If you are having more than 1 stop in any European country, then you may require a transit visa, except if this rule has changed For instance, if you are taking air France, sometimes, they have 2 stops...Paris and Schipol(Amsterdam). For you to be eligible to fly on this ticket, you must have a transit visa because it has more than 1 European country stop over. Stick to the airlines listed for you earlier but ensure your stop in ANY EUROPEAN COUNTRIES ISN'T MORE THAN ONE. Try to avoid Ethiopian airline because I've heard series of cases where passengers (especially Nigerians) trying to board en route to Canada from Adisababa had issues because they were on visist visa. My friends and families have used Air France, Qatar, KLM and Lufthansa airlines perfectly well on visit visa without issues. Again, just stick to one "stop over" flight if you are using any European airline (KLM, Air France and Lufthansa) If you are using Qatar, avoid putting any liquid in your hand luggage, even to toothpaste because they might trash it in Doha before boarding to any of your destination. Put whatever liquid you have (no matter how small like your smallest finger) in your bigger bags(23kg luggage). Don't bring it on board with you. XYZJAZZY: 2 Likes 1 Share |

He couldn't even pinpoint exactly where Nigerians are abusing the visa system. I bet you that he can't handle a leadership role.....he will just scatter the whole house and I pity those that are currently subjected to him Shebi he has been made a "watchdog" to those "abusing the visa system", oya na, let him go ahead and start arresting. That should help him heal his frustration I sensed in his curses. showbiz4all27: 1 Like 1 Share |
