Is it that you want them to re-apply for VV just for visitation or you are looking for a way for them to relocate while you remain in Nigeria because of your work, temporarily? Visit visa isn't the best for relocation for your wife and kids, if I must tell you the truth.

If you would like them to relocate, why not let your wife go through study route. She applies first without the kids and apply for them when her visa is out.

Though study route is now expensive but if it's a thing you can afford, please use that route. You yourself will feel relaxed and psychologically balanced knowing fully well they are safe and their freedom isn't compromised in whatever way.

Yes!!! Go ahead and apply now because of the processing times as @Ashirioluwa has said. In addition please, indicate with a supporting doc that you are still enrolled (like school ID card or so). If possible, get a letter from your school stating when your course program would be over to further strengthen your prove of current enrollment status.

All I can say is that agents take advantage of the GULLIBLE. Once they just have one client that they managed to get the visa approved, they will use that to lure ignorant people. All they just target is their agent fee

One should have known that 7.5M isn't enough for a family of 5, even if dollar was at N700/$1 from the time Tinubu resumed and devalued Naira, much was N1700/$1 as at today. The VO would look at the amount you will have left after removing your travel costs. Cost of hotel booking for the whole family for the number of days they admitted of staying in Canada is not a child's play. Costs of flights alone for the 5 will be 12-15M (assuming the kids are underaged). How about feeding? How about transportation within Canada? Will they still have money in the account if they come back? With the current economic situation(we can't still say where Naira is devaluing to), he must have like 50M as POF because over 12M will go for flights. What if they want to stay for 9-15 days in the hotel + feeding? They must also have left over in the account after the VO remove the cost of travel of 5 of them, and meanwhile, the VO might wonder why spending this much(in case you don't have a strong final and economic ties) if you aren't a business mogul or earning rich as a salary earner as they are the types that can't feel the burden of spending all these huge amount on their family for vacation.

Another strategy is when have they decided to travel? Is it when the kids are meant to be in school or during their holidays? A smart person would have paid the school fees of the children for the whole session to prove they are enrolled and submit it as part of docs. You will get the school academic calendar indicating how the session would run as part of docs to prove they are travelling during the period of holiday...

Again, what is the occupation of the spouse? How much is she earning? Their statement of account combo can help too.

I don't think the cheapest plane tickets for a family of 5 will be less than $7500 during this period.

Accommodation is another cost unless you have someone over there who's inviting and willing to accommodate you. I don't think a 10-day accommodation for a family of five in the Toronto area will be less than $2500.

Now you still need to figure out feeding and other trip expenses.

If the total of your trip expenses is $13,000, it will be nice if you can show proof that you have way more than this amount in your account because they don't expect any individual to spend all his savings on a vacation trip that's not beneficial financially.

The truth is that Canada study visa is no more a child's play. Gone are the days you can use about N15M POF to apply for at least 1 year course. Now the exchange rate is on a high side and Canada government has increased students annual costs of living to $20000cad which initially was 10k. Even when you would like to convert your vv to study in Canada, it is not cost effective too.

To apply for a study visa from Nigeria for the lowest tuition fee for 1 year course(cheapest school is $10kcad plus your $20kcad cost of living=$30kcad) would require nothing less than 35-40M naira POF because you yourself would be needing about 30M naira and you can't let the VO see the account would be empty after removing all the cost of study. Sadly, by September 2024, Canada government would be making it a two year course before you can get a pgwp(if I am not wrong)

Now, how would you a 23 years old be able to establish your POF before the VO CONVINCINGLY as self sponsored? What would you tell them you are doing to be able to get such huge amount at your age in Nigeria? What will you use as your family, financial and economic ties to make the VO believe you will come back.

Even with your VV application, as a 23 years self sponsor, what docs did you submit? Looking at Nigeria sytem, the VO would think you should either be in school or just graduating. What did you claim you are doing to get yourself a huge money to have sponsored yourself to Canada for a visit?

Don't let any agent deceive you having been obvious you are desperate. Don't let them give you fake docs because you go chop ban. Your age is a risk factor, so every docs you submit, the VO would thoroughly screen for authentication to know how genuine it is for you to have acquired such at that tender age in Nigeria. And Canada visit visa now is not about having 3m in your account. Things have gone haywire. Depending on the number days you filled in your application to spend in Canada for hotel booking, flights, feeding e.t.c will cost you about 15M POF, considering return flight is 3m and the exchange rate is high. Now where would you get this as a 23 years? How would you defend the money on how you acquired at a very young age IN NIGERIA??

If I must tell you the truth as my younger blood, channel your energy to Europe through study. There are some universities in Europe that have free or almost free tuition universities.

I will try to check some schools in Europe(it's not a promise so please, don't give me pressure on it as it depends on my free time) and put it here, then look for the thread of the country on Nairaland for steps and processes and don't waste your money on ANY AGENT.

The agent told you that he has someone that will help you look for a job when you land? Here is a way agents deceive the GULLIBLE. A smart person would have told the agent to look for a job first so that you can go through work permit as it is better, safer and not stressful that way, compared to having vv and then start searching for work. The BP you will have by the time your 6 month stay is about to elapse with no job is traumatic oo. A smart person will have a deal with the agent....My work visa is out, you collect your money. Period!!! In fact, I would go online and search how everything is processed step by step and remain ignorant to the agent to see how genuine and transparent he would be for him not to give me a fake visa...but some people can't reason this way because they loved to be deceived. Some are lazy to make research

Note, there isn't an assurance that your visa will come out in 3 months time, if approved. It's just an estimation but not guaranteed. Your agent may not tell you this but the earlier you know this, the better. It could be less, exactly 3 months or more as far as 8 months to even 1 year. So be psychologically ready for this.

Anyone that advises you to use visit visa as asylum doesn't like you. It has so many implications. Nigeria has the highest number of asylum applications in the whole of Africa in Canada. This has really affected the rate they give visa bonanza now. This may also affect your application as you are about to apply. All thanks to your brothers and sisters who went and never came back but instead chose asylum. You think Canada embassy in Nigeria doesn't have the record? It's even on their database for everyone to see. This has now made them be strict in scrutinizing applications thoroughly for Nigerians thereby, causing delay in decision making. The 3 months processing time is no longer guaranteed due to this

Asylum is 50-50. About 3 thousand Nigerians that applied for asylum last year from January to October- only 700+ (not upto 800) were approved. Now I asked you to tell me yourself what would happen to the remaining 2200 or so? That's deportation with life ban. Besides, Canada is now wise on asylum. The government has realized that the money they are spending on them is getting too much. Believe me, asylum isn't the path way you can take except if you are stubborn and ready to damn all consequences after this enlightment. Don't let the agent carjole you

In this case, you are in the best position to invite your sister and use graduation as a concrete reason. Never let her use her bf because they might see that as a redflag to go and not come back

As she is single with her age, that means she has a weak family tie except she has a child as a single mother. There are some certain age, most especially 35 and above that they don't consider parents as a family tie, especially if there are other siblings you have who the VO believe can take care of the parents without you. The VO would right "The applicant has no dependent and does not have significant family ties outside Canada". Except if at that age you are the ONLY CHILD can this be acceptable.

I will suggest you let her use her strong financial and economic ties as a way of her sure return. House docs, landed properties, investments, car docs, assets, fixed deposits all available commercial bank statements (with good cash flow), evidence of good job, payslip e.t.c that will make the VO see that this one is single BUT GALLANT. Being single at whatever age isn't a crime to them but not having a strong financial and economic ties is a NO NO for them.

Ensure you let the VO realize one way or the other your husband goes and comes because he is financially and economically stable. That's a plus for you to convince the VO that your families aren't desperate. Also, include all evidences from birth certificates to pictures that you are siblings. Use strategic pictures that you took together with your sister. But don't ever, ever and ever include her Bobo She can from the airport go to his place and forget about you and your old woman life. Chief, your own situation is one-of-a-kind, not like the majority of other applicants.

When discussing processing times, people with valid US visas or those who have visited Canada within the last ten years are excluded from the long wait because they are granted special treatment based on their visa status, and their applications are processed faster under the CAN+ program.

If they are processing September's applications right now, then those who submitted in November should be waiting for decisions on or before the end of April.

Now that you believe your POF is really good, focus all your energy on proving to the VO CONVINCINGLY on your application that you will return.

Don't also lie or change profession because the VO might watch out for misrepresentation when scanning through your 3 study visa applications. Ensure nothing on your VV application contradict what you filled on your 3 study visa applications. If possible, go back to your past applications to know exactly what you filled to avoid contradiction. Again, I repeat, avoid MISREPRESENTATION.

Let all ties be strong in your VV application for the VO to see your sure return....Family tie, Financial tie and Economic tie.
In summary, let all your docs you will submit be screaming "I WILL RETURN, I WILL RETURN" to the VO

Please, I am sorry to say this....After submitting 3 consecutive time before now, change your pattern. As you apply don't let your left hand to know what your right hand did(parable), and pray.

Hmmmmm........How about flight ticket? Except the invitation is full sponsorship including flight and the fellow giving out invite was able to prove it, otherwise even with invitation, 3m might not fly because 3m is currently the cost of return ticket.

VO's look beyond cost of holiday and plans. They also would check your balance to see how you would survive after deducting your holiday estimated cost from your balance when you are back.

The VO has a valid point. The 3m covers only your return flight ticket alone and the account will be totally empty.

Depending on the hotel (star) booking for (15 DAYS) and current naira devaluation, you need between 10-12M (or better still,15M) because you will still have to show the VO that your account won't be empty for survival after spending a lot for vacation. Imagine your flight ticket alone cost 3M. That is why I do advice applicants with no solid economic or financial tie not to apply for more than 7 days stay or at most 10 days to help save cost your POF when the VO is reviewing your application

What is the validity of your passport, firstly? If it is less than 5 years, then it doesn't worth doing another biometric because they will still issue your visa according to the smaller duration you have left on your passport (even if you have a 10 year biometric validity). If your passport is less than 5 years, just raise a webform if your biometric hasn't been automatically linked to your application after a week of submission.

But if your passport has a longer validity, then please, pay cad$85 for biometrics fee to enjoy a longer visa stay

In my own little opinion, regardless of the nature of his business as a self employed applicant after submitting all evidences, I believe someone of his type without a strong economic tie (like investments, fixed assets e.t.c.) may have a chance if he could utilize his family tie (wife and kids) with his wife's proof of income( like work ID and payslips). If the spouse has a very good and stable job and earns well, coupled with a letter of consent from the spouse, the application may fly for approval i.e if the "HIDDEN REASON" for his refusals isn't on his Pakistan travel history. There are some countries that are high risk to western embassies like Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, e.t.c and I don't know if Pakistan is inclusive.

Again, on another side, 9 million may be low as POF as a family man (I am just raising another concern). You have a wife and kids. The VO doesn't know what your spouse is doing so the cost of your family's wellbeing is assumed on the 9m. Cost of ticket is almost 3m which makes you have 6m left. Your hotel booking (we don't know the number of days to spend in Canada that was indicated), cost of food and other miscellaneous expenses in Canada will make it totalled over 5M+....you want to spend these on visit when your personal business isn't that elaborate and you also have a family. That is why I do advice those applying as a self employed applicant with "I patch it business documents" to not indicate more than 7 days of stay in Canada if going as a tourist, except your business is grounded and elaborate and you have proof to back it up, of course.

Your profile is very, very consistent with people who leave with a visit visa and never return. Your economic ties are certainly not strong. What's the nature of your self-employment exactly? What says you can't stay back in Canada and have someone else be running your business back in Nigeria? What exactly necessitates your coming back to your own business? Because it looks like if you left, that business can still survive. Hence, no real economic ties.

Sometimes, the tax annual returns issued by Lagos state government for business enterprise complicate issues for some applicants, depending on the VO strictness. That is why I stated earlier that your tax returns MUST BE EQUIVALENT TO THE AMOUNT YOU CLAIMED IS YOUR ANNUAL INCOME. The 150k that you paid which is 50k per annum may not be sufficient to justify your business income which you claimed generates over millions on your statement of account of 6 months. I have seen where a VO based his or her reason for refusal on an application on that ground. The VO raised concerns that "the tax clearance is too low for the statement of account the applicant submitted so the source of income couldn't be established which makes me (VO) believe the huge amount was just for demonstration purposes".

Please, don't get me wrong...I am not linking it to your refusal. I am just trying to figure out why the VO would raise concerns on "Insufficient income proof for your business/establishment" after submitting your CAC Certificate, tax clearance and pictures of your business. I am just using that as an awareness.

Again, I hope you didn't include Pakistan in your travel history and I hope Pakistan isn't among the high risk country on a redflag for Canada government, otherwise...

Please, include your business invoices and receipts AND your CAC annual returns certificate, too in your next application

Above all may God's grace be sufficient for everyone of us because sometimes, it's not all about the volume of docs submitted but GRACE. I have seen where an applicant didn't submit tax clearance and was approved and another was denied for not submitting tax clearance to support the CAC Certificate while still, another submitted only CAC annual returns certificate without tax clearance and was approved.

2. CAC is Active because i pay my annual return yearly.
3. I submitted Tax Clearance issue by State Government (i pay my tax to state government) for 2021, 2022, and 2023
4. My Wife is self employed she owned a tailoring outfit.

Did you declare your Pakistan travel history in your application? I hope Pakistan isn't among high risk countries like Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan e.t.c.

In my own little understanding....."Insufficient evidence of employment/activity income..."

1) When did you register your CAC as self employed? How old is your company?
2) Is your company still active on CAC database if the VO search online? Because if it shows INACTIVE, that could raise a redflag
3) Did you submit your Tax clearance? Mind you, your tax returns must be equivalent to the amount you claim to earn annually OR Did you submit your CAC recent annual returns certificate of at least two years ( 2022 and 2023) to show your business is active and running. They prefer tenderable documents of your business running than pictures alone.... which is TAX OR RETURNS.
4) Did you include your business invoices and receipts?

And when next you apply, let your spouse write a letter of consent that she is aware you are traveling to Canada on a SHORT STAY, at the same time assuring them of your return.

If your wife is working and earning well, you may include her work ID and payslips (notarized copies) to further strengthen your financial tie.

If you aren't going on a conference or graduation or wedding but just as a tourist or as ordinary invitee with no date to attend a special event, I will suggest you raise a webform at the end of February. The choice is still yours, though.

IN MY OWN OPINION....3m is far too low for both of you.

There are some things that needed to be cleared because it is not all about someone inviting you, especially if you are an active citizen and not a senior citizen..

Is your cousin sponsoring you and your spouse on a full time invitation, including return tickets (remember cost of return ticket is now well over 2m per passenger to Canada so it won't be less than 5m for both of you)? Now the VO might want to think why your cousin would want to spend such amounts just for ordinary invites on tickets alone, aside other costs, considering the family tree is now extended. It's now your account statement and that of your spouse that would weigh in to see how financially strong or buoyant you are in your home country. That's your financial ties

And how would your financial statement be of help? Your job!!! What do you do?? What does your spouse do? Did you apply for your leave at this same time for having want to go together? If you pass this stage strongly, you go to the next scrutinized stage...Family ties

Do you have children that would make you come back? How many are they? Whose care would they be while you are away? Would your account balance be sufficient to cover up their expenses back home while you are away with your spouse? Then you go to the next stage...Economy ties

Do you have investments, properties, active business, assets e.t.c. in your home country that proves your economic stability and sure return?

Travel history is a boosting factor too, especially US but I believe if 90% of your application docs meet the other eligibility requirements, then you may be considered

Now use your 3m accounts balance to judge all the questions above.

My cousin wanted to invite me with my wife as a couple and is ready to give us a statement of account of $50k. Whereas in my personal account i have just 3m, to submit with application, my concern now is that will 3m naira enough for both of us, hope it won't be a red flag

Nobody here knows exactly when IRCC will make decision on your application but they sure have a time frame for processing time on their website.

Please, be mindful that your application days start counting from the day your biometric is linked to your application and not the day you submitted your application. You may raise a webform to request for an update on your application once your application has passed the processing time on their website for Nigeria applicants
