Peter AdaOBI is the BEST governor that has every come from Iboland! Mark my words! |
OMG, WHY is that CIRCLE SOOOO BIG! This country is IN BIG TROUBLE with OIL! Does it mean that it is projected or estimated that oil MOST LIKELY EXISTS in the ENTIRE country? If it is, it seems this oil will RUIN this country! How can we escape from the oil and just have normal human beings who will just do normal things? ![]() |
Afam4eva: When citizens go all out to protest the expulsion of foreigners from their country, calling themselves racists and getting support from important personalities in government then you know the country is serious about getting rid of foreigners. This is the Israel that a lot of people don't know about. I can tell you that all Arab countries tend to be more welcoming than Israel yet it's the Arabs that are always being taunted in the media and by people all over the world. You should BE MOST WORRIED about the IBOS who say they are Jews! Well, these are your brothers and you better not be African otherwise, you are finished! The only thing not shown in this video is beatings and killings of Africans on the streets! I pity the Africans involved and the Ibos who keep deluding themselves as Jews with their big bags and "raiden-type" (mortal kombat) hats. You people create hatred in the midst of your immediate neighbours and are seeking to be joined to Jews who are the MOST racist humans on the planet! Well, I am glad I am a Yoruba with history recorded as far back as man could keep written records, thousand of years BC, and I am still proud when I read the stories of our Oyo Empire, a direct descendant of Oduduwa, a prince from the ruling house of Ile-Ife! I love all my Yoruba borthers and sisters - we are all the same, there is no stratification or distinctions. I will be more than proud to live in a Yoruba Region (if Nigeria refuses to allow each nationality to become sovereign) because at the end of the day, what makes the foreign countries we live attractive is their way of life (everyone is on the same level, no oga, no driver, no servant except you can afford to pay per hour), their system which works and their infrastructure that makes life easy. All these can be created in an all Yoruba region because we have done it before and if not for the jealousy of Ibos and the north, the West today will be on the same level as the US, UK, Germany, etc. It is on record that the Yoruba West was on the same level of civilization with the current day US in the 1800s! America got independence from Britain in 1776 after years of war and more war was fought after that and we did just the same thing in the Yoruba West! It is a pity we are trapped in this Nigeria and the only compromise might be to allow the country to remain while we devolve into regional governments! I worry that some people from some parts of Nigeria might not want these to happen or refuse to go back to their regions after the country breaks. As a Yoruba, I am tired of being in the same country and region with Ibos and I just want us to have some clear demarcation, some boundary so we don't get in each others way. You go and build Nigeria from the east, we will do it from the West and let some others build it from the north. I just can't wait only if GEJ is not lying with this conference! ![]() |
Why is she making her skin yellow with BLEACHING CREAM! Why is her face so FAT? And she uses a box of pancake powder just to keep up her shenanigans? This woman is so annoying! Thieving minister Odulah! ![]() |
I hope Ikereamadu with his ibos and compromised senate fat cats do not subvert this whole process or why the excuses? Just go and create whatever legal framework you need, that is why you are paid and you still steal so much of our money! The Western Region NEEDS it's autonomy, we want to have a chance to grow our people and lives, we have been slowed down enough by Nigeria (yes I like Nigeria because any problem it has is the fault of people in side it!) but we should all go and grow Nigeria collectively by growing our regions simple! It will also be a good opportunity to have the Ibos of the current SE region to go back to their lands and develop it because it is in the national interest! If one leg of a human being is growing but the other leg is stunting and not growing, such a human being can never be balanced! I want them to go to their region where they will grow themselves because in the West, we want to make progress and we are so tired of them and everything holding us down! ![]() |
This topic is about Kwara but I will comment on Ilorin since both Kwara north and south seem not to be contentious. The idea that people will choose wherever they want to with doesn’t work. No matter which way one looks at it, such decision rests largely with the elites. If the elites in Ilorin are Fulanis/Yoruba-Fulanis or comfortable with Fulani rule, no external force can influence the decision of Ilorin masses. It is cheap populism to think common people have a say in such decision. That should naturally lead to the next question. Why would Ilorin elites want a change? You have a system you benefit from, why would you want to change that? What will be your position in the new arrangement? Asking Ilorin decision makers to identify with Yoruba is like asking Nigerian elites to divide Nigeria. Ilorin was conquered by the Fulani so it is commonsense that whoever wants Ilorin back will have to conquer it. The general masses of a conqured territory would have to obey whatever system is put in place to rule them. I think people need to move on. Since the city was captured, the people have mixed up so much, don’t appear to have problem with the ruling structure, and generally speaking are living together in peace and harmony, then there is no need for arguments about being Yoruba or Fulani. Yoruba or Fulani are not stagnant entities that can not change. Afterall, as Omonnakoda pointed out before, Yorubas at a time saw themselves as Egba, Ijebu, Ekiti. We may just be having a new identity on our hands; Yoruba-Fulani “Nothing spoil”.
Your thinking and submission IS CLEARLY WRONG and COMPLETELY FAULTY! The reason you adduced that because the elites want something, THEREFORE everyone want the same thing is what Nigeria is trying to take down with the so called conference and it is one of the cardinal reasons why a conference is needed in the first place. That is WORTH FIGHTING FOR BY ALL NIGERIANS! Anything like ELITISM (ELITES) must be completely removed from your way of thinking. The LARGER problem that Nigeria is trying to solve is the stratification (elitism, big man, privileged, etc) and it is disgusting that you think perpetuating that way of life or thinking is in the interest of anybody! At the national conference, they have said no go areas, so no elitism! What you can do is to talk to people and if they buy you point of view and opinion, good vote along that line. However to come and say if Saraki's stomach has eaten, is full and fattened; then everyone in Ilorin is also full and filled is bull shit! Like the system in the West where all humans are the same, the same road, same swimming pool, same schools, same markets, so is the kind of system we are interested in creating where there is NO BIG MAN! To be a big man, you can do that in your personal house and family but as soon as you step outside your house, you are the same as everyone else! |
bola4dprec: Its unfortunate that Nigeria is not a nation rather its just a geographical location, when we are talking about national conference that will lead to national unity someone is lamented on Kwara and Ilorin could you believe that major problem of Nigerian is hypocrisy attitude, going by the record of oyo empire they spread their slavery trade towards Ilorin metro in order to make cash for the superior in the empire is not in the interest of masses whether emir or onilorin that is not an issue all we need now is national unity neither been a Muslim or whatsoever hausa/fulani, yoruba or igbo I blame our leader for not abolish state of origin for state of residence so far the constitution stated it cleared that Nigeria is one nationLook mister, save your breath! No one wants YOU in the Western Region, you will go wherever you want to GO! However, while no one is stopping you, you WILL NOT stop others from going where they want to go, are we clear? So no need for stress! This is the modern world and if a part of Kwara State wants to go to the northern region (or whatever region it is named), you take a piece of land that falls in that region and stay there while the ones that fall into the south and want to go to the south will also go with their land - this is the fairest and most equitable way to solve the problem. I am VERY confident that before long, after your close neighbours are better off in the Western Region, you will envy them and regret your decision but be sure we will never want betrayers in our midst so forget about joining us through any referendum in future because I will vote a BIG NO! So, take it easy, you can go anywhere you want but you can't stop others too! |
I'm curious to know the Nigerian. Everyone's dream is different but some people might have the same dream as other people. Back in the day I use to say to people that I could turn Nigeria to a Kingdom and be ruler. No tenure, rule till I make the Nigerian Kingdom a better place for the people nd if I'm not alive to witness it, my son, the first prince will continue the legacy. In Nigerian Kingdom, languages are prohibited in public places. There will be a new unified language. We will be one. Government workers are paid under the supervision of his excellency, likewise with the health care, child support, disability care, education ....... There will still be president, senate, LGA, etc but if the King is receiving the average salary, the president and senate can not earn more than his royal highness so their pay will be normal undersupervision by d kingsmen. Money will be in supply to the masses. I got older and my dreams change, I stopped saying I could make 9ja a Kingdom, I will make Nigeria a Kingdom. What's your dream?
How will you make Nigeria a kingdom? Go and read your history and about Nigeria to know that Nigeria is made up of many "kingdoms" and if Nigeria remains in the modern sense, the best you can do is to lead your region to economic prosperity. |
^^^Igbo-hater, be mindful of your BP.......before you keel over and quench one day! Princess Stellar......the best aviation minister ever!
She is a thief and now being queried by her (also thieving) oga, how is that anyone's fault? You people pretend like if Stella's stomach is full and fat, then all ibos are also full and fat despite that several thousands are scrounging for a mean selling la casera and spare parts in every part of Nigeria. Well, save your breath - rather go and present how you want to go back to your se region in the coming national conference! When Odulah becomes minister in your region, may she steal to her hearts content! Just get your people to get their acts together and move out of the Western Region. That is all I care for now and I can't wait for this GEJ to make the conference VERY QUICK! ![]() |
If they like, let them burn ALL the OIL + the refinery to the ground! At least, they cannot blame the northerners and westerners for that again! Just let us have this conference quickly so we can have our regions before 2015 elections. They will be stuck with their polluted environment and they will not be able to escape to another man's region, simple! ![]() |
I hope GEJ is really serious about this conference because if he is, WHY and HOW does he have time to be hounding the Imo State governor again? Let him be for goodness sake, just conduct this conference on time before more damage is spread to the country! Haba! Let Okorocha alone, just do the damn conference quickly or is it how he will be foot dragging until everyone loses interest and we are all back to SQUARE ONE?? ![]() |
ogugua88: I agree with the bolded. Everyone's house is on fire, meanwhile they're finger-pointing as to who has the biggest flames.I don't really want to argue this thread, some things are not just worth the argument because tomorrow, it starts all over again, everyone is still in the same messed up situation! Why can't we just go our ways for goodness sake! I have Ibo friends but the thousands who keep destroying the land of my fathers and my inheritance have made me soooooo tired of us letting them stay in our land. I am JUST TIRED of all kinds of argument, even a girlfriend and boyfriend, heck married couples breakup if the problems get TOO MUCH and they can't continue. Luckily, GEJ has provided an avenue for us to take a breather. After a few years of living in our regions, we will be able to know who is responsible for the greater percentage of crimes in Nigeria. Abeg support the conference and I hope this GEJ is serious because I am more than ready to have a better region, hopefully leading to a better country. ![]() |
Ngwakwe: Bros, the woman dey for Israel to sign another landmark agreement with the State of Israel for direct flight. She is bleaching look at her finger knuckles! BOTOX all over her face, no wonder no husband would have her, so fake and plastic! What a shame! Well, it doesn't matter whether she goes to hell to sign any agreement beit landmark, watermark or airmark, SHE IS A THIEF! The question is can another corrupt GEJ fire a thieving Odulah? Na siddon look we dey! |
ogugua88: Let's agree with your statement that SE is the kidnapping capital. Do explain to me how that makes a man or woman in Lagos any safer.I think there is no point for all the back and forth. Whether SE is the kidnapping capital or SW is the kidnapping capital, does that change anything? What we need is change and I can't wait for us and my people to be free from the shackles of having to accommodate strangers in my land! In a nutshell, I can't wait for ibos to leave the SW to their region and we stay in our region too. Then, that will change something and we will not be having these kinds of back and forth. |
The 5 kidnappers of the wife of the speaker of Osun State are all ibos and they were all convicted for 27 years! The kidnap happened where? In the SW! I am more than confident that the day we get rid of the criminal strangers in our land, we would have solved more than 99% of all insecurity problems! Next, we will have our own regional police who are well able to spot these criminals even before they plan their next criminal act.
|
99% of the crimes committed in the SW are certainly by Ibos but we don't need to argue or fight about it. Let us all work hard for regional governments so either can side can mind their business. Personally, I can't wait for everyone to go and mind the business of our peoples. |
Interesting thread! |
This thread continues to be vibrant! I like that. Well, for those who are getting feisty, no need to tear down the house because of your charge of emotions as this is mostly an intellectual and awareness debate. What will be very good is to start talking to your people, the Kwarans (Yoruba, Hausa, and other tribes) and to prepare for an eventual referendum. I am a Yoruba, completely, and I am more than confident that even the Yoruba states as it is right now will best ALL the other 5 regions when (or if) we eventually get regional governance. It will be difficult for my brothers who have been misled to now want to be accorded any special privilege because we will take census and residency rights very seriously. If your chosen regions lags behind and is unable to create enough jobs for you and your children, don't think your Yoruba name will be enough for us to let you in through the back door because we will be financing our region with our intellect, energies and taxes! You will have to be fair and stay wherever you choose from day ONE except you are able to achieve another referendum in which you choose the West and THEN, WE ALSO MUST BE WILLING TO ACCEPT YOU! The people who migrated to the US in the 1800s did it without visa, just get on a boat, walk there, get there by any means and you could make your life there! Today, you could apply for a visa to visit and you cannot work there legally! Even if you do get a green card, you will have to wait in a line and for years before you become a citizen. Just some thoughts! |
Why must the victim mentality plague Ibos all the time? Can you imagine a whole so called "educated, failed world bank" presidential aspirant playing the religious and tribal card? She is inevitably tying tribalism by talking about religion knowing fully well that a lot of Ibos neither tolerate openness and freedom of religion, so this mosques and muslims are certainly implying North and West! Why? Where is your evidence o pig faced fat (obese) ass non-minister of finance? How did you know this? Where is your poof? Did you go to the mosque to find out this yourself or you sent some of your moles or you're just lying outrightly?? |
debetmx: My brother I still cant wrap my head around it. A man who sent people to the war front with cutlasses to confront people with AK-47 while that same man was hiding in bushes and armed his personal security with the best hands in Biafra. The same man who said Gowon was not the most senior military officer in Nigeria so he was not entitled to the throne while this same man (ojukwu) locked the most senior ibo officer (Brig. Hilary Njoku)in Biafra in prison . The same wicked ojukwu who rejected land corridor through which they could bring in food to feed his people who were dying in droves of hunger while ojukwu looked chubby and over weight. Did any of ojukwu's useless children who are fighting over Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu's properties (The only Ojukwu I have a modicum of respect for) go a hour without food during the stu.pid war. An ojukwu who killed Banjo for abandoning Benin while he (ojukwu) abandoned Enugu in 1967 and ran to Onitsha. The same ojukwu in July 1966 who told Brig. Ogundipe to keep fighting while he (ojukwu) abandoned Enugu for Onitsha.ibos do not care about all this rational points you are talking about here! Even hitler is >>>> Ojuku because he stood up for what he believed to the last second and he died for that belief! Ojukwu exhibited the typical "individualism" ideology of the ibos where "I" is more important that others! The rules apply to every body except himself! It is called hypocrisy but most ibo kids have been brainwashed that it is okay to kill 3 M and keep 1 person alive as though the life of 3 M ibos is <<<< that 1 ojukwu. Well at the end of their day, it is their choice and loss as far as they don't bring their complaints and story to worry other Nigerians! |
Chino72: Oshomole's attitude is as ugly as his face..Your comment is borne out of hatred given that even Edo State is besting Anambra, the best ibo state! Imagine that, that all your so called "leaders" have nothing on Edo which is just a few hundred KMs from that red earth, erosion eaten Anambra. Cry no more, Edo will give you a little land to pass on your way back to your cage! ![]() |
mandarin: I don't talk because I should. Check out Yoruba spiritual recitations and you will understand. Mind you I understand the language well. Its a story of movements. What source more than the Ifa recitation that pre-date Oduduwa himself or you want me to give you a white man link or Rev Johnson?I think 'oriki 'and recitations of spiritual ifa throws more light. its up to you to enlighten yourself.I did not mean to upset your knowledge, but look at the pattern of contribution so far on this thread. Posters like Kats, Shymmex, Dudu_Negro, etc have always cited sources and cross reference some other texts. You get a sense that somewhere in what they are saying, if you go look for some of the sources, you'd find the most complete truth. On the other hand, you come in and write a couple of lines without any convincing source or argument! Well, we would only believe you if you were Oduduwa, Obatala, Orunmila, etc yourself and you saw everything yourself and there is in fact nothing to reference because you are the reference! You understand? That is my whole point. |
Tony Spike: Who placed this thread in the ethnic and sectarian politics sectionCompletely seconded! I don't know if Afam moved it here to hide the light under a bushel, so that more of some people can keep wallowing in their ignorance. Can he at least move it to Politics or Cultural section at least? Can OAM4J do something please? |
Why all of them come ugly like Mr ibu like this?? ![]() |
The way Stella Odulah is running (ruining) the small ministry of Aviation is the way ibos will ruin Nigeria if voted to power! Funny thing is ibos will be defending their fellow ibos so the BEST thing is to leave them where they are and never allow them come close to the presidency! |
mandarin: From usual eulogy of incantations it was said that Orunmila migrated from one Ikole Orun(probably a far distant place looking at the 'orun' attached) to Ikole Aye may be he founded the Ikole Aye preently in Ekiti and from there moved to Ile Ife. A whole lots ofOga, abeg don't introduce conjecture and guesswork into history. If you have any authentic sources or cross references, then you can tell us. A lot of people are reading and will read this in future and it just wrong to mislead them by recording fallacies which they will no have to sift the chaff from the rice because of your conjectures and speculations. |

Is this how the mods want to throw away a rich, insightful and outstanding historical thread like this? If this thread can't be featured in the politics section, then it should be moved to the cultural section. This is my opinion...
