PoliticsRe: The Meaning Of Apc's Loss In Bayelsa by slowpoison(m): 9:18pm On Jan 11, 2016
What I desire is for the ruling party to gracefully congratulate the winner of the election as the immediate past president use to do. The difference weather it land water moon slide doesn't matter. Afterall the ruling party won the presidency with about 2.5million votes despite the loop sided availability of voting materials.
Let us bear in mind the saying "that as a god is so are its votaries" meaning that those who follow a harsh god will be harsh while those who follow a benevolent god are bound to be benevolent. When Jonathan conceded defeat to Buhari an atmosphere of peace descended on the nation shaming a prophets of doom.
PoliticsRe: The Meaning Of Apc's Loss In Bayelsa by slowpoison(m): 8:23pm On Jan 11, 2016
We hope that their CHANGE is not a return to do or die winning of election Jonathan made us believe in the wish of the people. Thank God this election was not INCONCLUSIVE again.
CelebritiesRe: Wizkid Drops Out Of School by slowpoison(m): 1:28pm On Apr 17, 2011
the most glaring & obvious case of hypocracy in the universe is Muhammadu Baha'i. My reason are
He overthrew the 2nd republic democratic government of Alhaji Shehu Shagari
He now wants to be called Alhaji rather than General
The man who used to be a hard man when he forged himself on Nigeria theaterically turned into  a soft wimp crying like a newly orphaned child
now the disciplined man lied that planes flew in the night printers worked overnight to produce ballot papers to rig the election
He says that he will not go to court but his party may go to court the unresolved issue is will he accept the court verdict if it favors him
the ones he did while in power will be listed later
AutosRe: Fg Increase Bar On Used Vehicles Aka Tokunbo- 15years Max by slowpoison(m): 8:47pm On Nov 30, 2010
small hip hip hip no hurray. the government has started thinking right (my 12 years old BMW is better than a kai rio)my hurrays will come when they start using the import duties to develop roads after all the way to consume cars is to drive them on roads.
PoliticsRe: Buhari/Tinubu Ticket In The Offing? by slowpoison(m): 8:32pm On Nov 30, 2010
A people get the kind of leader they deserve, you guys are all talking about Tinubu  when in my own opinion Buhari is the crippled hunchback with a rancid odour and dragons breath.
This is a man who with his band of military adventurers committed treason by overthrowing the 2nd republic lead by Shagari (do we write off those killed in the coup as collateral damage?)
The man sent all his time as head of state chasing shadows by battering oil, backdating his decrees(executing 3 guy for trying to export cocaine) promulgating  decrees against journalist who embarrass public officers.
Let the serial political failure come out gain in 2011 then we shall tabulate the way he failed himself and Nigerians when he stole the highest office and tell him why he is not qualified to rule us again.By the way he has IBB to thank for rescuing him from disgrace by overthrowing his lame duck government.
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Is ‘comical,’ Says Atiku Campaign Organisation ! by slowpoison(m): 7:20pm On Nov 30, 2010
I agree the man Atiku is not electable but the Ciromas of Nigeria will not agree. even if you put the report and Jennifer Atiku confesses again in front of Prophet Ciroma and co they will still try to foster him on Nigerian, just as the forced Shagari on us. but if Northern members of PDP accept Atiku who is afounding member of Action Congress I am sure southern member will tell him that they will not follow him as he might dump them and move to another platform again
PoliticsRe: Senate Moves To Penalise Disrespect Of The National Anthem by slowpoison(m): 9:31pm On Nov 27, 2010
why do these jobless PLAGUES OF THIEVES in Abuja always find a way to annoy us by pretending that that are working? any way like common pickpockets they have to distract us before picking our pockets

PoliticsRe: Stop This Deception! Igbos Will Not Gain From Zoning by slowpoison(m): 7:30pm On Oct 30, 2010
well said but here is another piece of nonsense that was on Raymond Dokpesi AIT the so called zoning formula is that after the North then the South- South so igbo's who campaign like the igbo man on the AIT Abudulahi st George and those who believe that the presidency will be packaged for them in 2015 had better wake up
PoliticsRe: Soyinka And Tinubu Shun Oshiomhole's One-Man-One-Vote Rally In Benin City! by slowpoison(m): 9:24pm On May 07, 2010
To me i do not get the reasons why the aspiring godfathers of Nigerian politics backed out of the rally it would have been a divine opportunity for them to confront IBB and bear their minds to him and his politics past, present and future.
Thank God that Festus Keyamo did not tuck in his tail and run but spoke the minds of millions of Nigerians, unlike Soyinka ,Tinubu and their ilks who have once again thrown more grist into the Nigerian rumour mill, everyday plausible angles are added the event. it is this kind of action that lead to past rumours such as that which claims that it was Awolowo that decieved Ojukwu to fight the civil war, and that it was the same Awolowo that gave Gowon the age old military tactics (scourge earth ploicy) to use hunger against Biafra.

IBB has the right to join any and all parties and Nigerians have a right to invite and be invited to any forum or party but it does not mean that he can not be told the truth, asked to explain his past action or be told that he is living in a nightmare.
SportsRe: Amodu Drags NFF To Court Over N300m Sack Compensation by slowpoison(m): 11:22pm On Mar 27, 2010
Amodu deserves more than he is asking for, he was given a target which he surpassed smiley , he has qualified Nigeria twice for the world cup the last time we sent Onigbinde cry in his place and our performance was even worse embarassed than the Nations cup that made us drop Amodu Nigeria could not qualify for the next world cup with the so called beautiful football huh we now had to beg Amodu to help us out. He has qualified us this time round NFF has dropped him again on the most stupid and idiotic of reasons.
Amodu went to the 16 team Nations cup and came out 3rd, if the NFF want to rate themselves in African football administration will they be among the first ten? angry sad
Now they have engaged Largerback tongue who could not qualify his team for the world cup having coached them for over a decade, winkLargerback got the job partly by pulling the wool over the cryNFF board shocked which includes Onigbide by spinning one yarn(bombing ask yahoo boys what it means to bomb) about how he beat Onigbindes team at the world cup. why did he not tell them why i could not win the world cup.and partly by telling them that he will develop football in Nigeria and look for new players within months(wash wash) i wonder what a guy who couldn't achieve something with Ibrahamovich will achieve with Kanu.
On a lighter note i think we need a foreign President
PoliticsRe: Divide Nigeria In Two, Says Muammar Gaddafi by slowpoison(m): 12:54pm On Mar 27, 2010
A simple minded oldman shocked (probably senile) makes an unguided statement embarassed just to fill in space at a senseless jamboree and supposedely mature men lead by David Mark shocked(whose sanity should be questioned) go into an uproar.
My school principal warned us that if we were in the village bath room/house and a winklunatic runs off with our towel we shoundn't run naked after the lunatic but remain calm and send a passerby for another towel or wrapper, because if we run out naked people embarassed cry :owill run after us not the lunatic to see if they can prevent us from entering the market naked thereby making the cure of our madness difficult. what " PRESIDENT" Mark and the Ministry of foreign affairs did is tantamount to being on the same mental condition as King Gadaffi.
To give the devil his due Gadaffi made a point, but a very simplistic and uninformed point for which the libyan ambasador needs to be recalled amd fired, He should have informed Gadaffi that
1. there are more than two religions in Nigeria
2. that almost every family village tribe and state In Nigeria has a mix at least two of these religions
3.that even his proposed capital of the south has a moslem as its governor
BUT AS AN "ELDER STATESMAN" Gadaffi has every right to be ashamed cry shocked of news coming out of Nigeria, we should correct him were he has wrong impressions not going off as if we show that we are the coolGIANT cool "Craze" of the pysciatric hospital. these are my take on Gadaffi for now.
But what pains me the most cry is that some post on this issue on Nairaland is worse than anything that Gadaffi said some really dream huh of splitting this country on imagined lines the rantings have no clear line of thougt, some dudes still think that a certain tribe has the solution or is the problem please people think again and do it slowly and carefully. except every village becomes a republic otherwise and village that produces anything will feel that it is being swallowed up and colonised by its tongue(parasitic) neigbour

BusinessRe: Call For Increase in Fuel Prices by NNPC (August 2005) by slowpoison(m): 1:07am On Sep 13, 2005
And now that they have increased the pump price of petroleum products lets see what they will do with the money that they were using to subsidise the importation or is it production of these products.  angryhuh

Hunter and kazey feel that the cost of petrol is cheap compared to where they reside Australia and Malaysia rolleyes,  I want them and their ilks to compare income of their locale to that of Nigeria where the minimum wage is N7500 (US$54) for federal government workers and in the private sector people still earn N3000 (US$21.50) cry a month. they should also compare the infrastucture provided by the government especially on transport, and the source of the petroleum product to their country.let me supply a part of the answer to the last question ,the Nigerian government collects it crude oil from Nigeria but foolishly sells most of it and goes again to foreign countries to buy low quality refined products only to tell Nigerians that the products are highly subsidised. and mind you they do not pay anybody for the crude oil. rolleyes

The painful part of this is that the government does not think of improving the quality of life of the Nigerian masses, and just some two decades ago the Naira was stronger than the US Dollar not to talk of the Austrailian dollar   shocked this should explain some of the disgust which Nigerians feel for the lame excuses they get from the government when they increase the price of this products angry. this adminstration once used millions of naira to demolish toll gates across the nation telling Nigerians that they were going to repair roads with the extra money they will get from the increase in petroleum products.

We can go on and on to other issues related to petroleum like energy and production, one would ordinarily think that since we are making excess monies from he sale of crude oil that the value of the Naira will improve but the reverse is the case.
Lets me just add this when we were younger in the early eighties lipsrsealed , lepers were people that we heard  of in bible stories but now you see lepers in the street of lagos and on the highways begging for alms cry embarassed huh, because the government has stoped giving subsidies to lepers colonies and hospitals so these lepers have to take to the streets to survive cool you would even expect the government to saparate them from their children who are not yet infected but that is the least on the government agenda sad

Nairaland GeneralRe: Why Do People Hide Their Age? by slowpoison(m): 9:12pm On Sep 09, 2005
People in Nigeria hide their age because of insecurity . Some feel that they have under achieved embarassed, while some do it because of some legal restictions footballers lipsrsealed will reduce theirs ages to play against younger teams, Civil servants will reduce their ages so that they can stay in office after the legal retirement age cry. and people like Salisu Buhari shocked the impeached speaker of thre house of representative increased their age to qualify for election into the house just as young Nigerians cryare now increasing their ages to get British Visas . and it leads to so much confusion in the system this is why some people expecially politicians shocked sad embarassed have up to three different ages all backed up with affidavit FROM OUR COURTS cry

BusinessRe: Alhaji Aliko Dangote: What do you know about him? by slowpoison(m): 1:24am On Aug 19, 2005
since Nigeria is now a country where the end justifies the means cry I join obong and co in bowing to the man.
you guys especially those of you abroad hailing our own Richard Branson abi na Bill Gates are something else huh huh.
I am sure that if one man has the monopoly to import while discouraging the local prodution of sugar into the U S A for a year he would compete with Bill Gates not to talk of Dangotes' more than ten year of pilaging every nigerians table cry.
lets imagine that hot-angel wink tongue and nddy  wink tongue father are given the sole right to import sugar into the US for one year how rich cool they will be.
huhPlease lets stop flaunting our mediocrity, those who think that the guy is that smart should tell him, that the world is now a global village let him take his skills and products to the international market rolleyes.because the guy has started making macaroni the government wants to ban the importation of macaroni if it were in the military era they would have long since banned the importation of macaroni. angry
The guys business skills are so unique that good businessmen abroad dare not use them in this day and age embarassed.
last week it was in the papers that he is suspected to be involved in the importation of toxic waste into his beloved country, Nigeria I have not heard of any case in court over the allegation. I will be back later shocked.to talk about his cement business
