I have been stopped by sars every damn time because of the car I drive and I have an I'd card of my work which makes it more easy. Sometimes when I see them or even RRS. I went from the island to mainland yesterday and I use google map. Frsc come and get me. Total rubbish. Yes gps can be a distraction,infact in lagos it is because you can miss the direction even when looking at it but you see that voice that tells you turn left or turn right or take the next exit.
