jmoore:Affordability is the key here. |
rokiatu:what is so broke about this comment? Are you for real or you r just kidding? Do you understand maths? I mean the real implication of 0.8 of ur salary on a woman? What happens to tithe, children, urself n etcetera? What does the woman do with hers? I knw u r catching fun jare. So let me play along. If I may ask, like what will she be doing with the money every month. Teach me to be romantic. ![]() |
Is so sad people can't just let him be. Must you resort to name calling? You either choose to believe or not. Good luck to u. |
it is only foolish people that act without thinking of the consequences. As much I am not in support of the xenophobia attacks in SA, it is suicidal to go for reprisal on their companies here in Nigeria as many people will lose their jobs. Let me ask a question. How many SA citizens do we have in Nigeria that are jobless or roaming the street? What is the ratio of Nigerians travelling there to their citizens coming here? How many Nigerian multi national companies operate in South Africa? It is sad that the poor receive the worst or ills of any society before the rich. The truth is, we must deal with our problems before showing other people the light. We must be economical buoyant before playing tit-for-tat in any confrontation with any country in the league of SA. Nigerians, stop this foolishness jare! Do u think they really care? The best way to fight is to develop our economy and military might; be enviable enough to attract people becos of the opportunity we offer. |
Berem, you will need not to be nervous about the word' babaloja'. Demdem is right about his opinion and the assertion that if violence continues the residents may write to Alausa to instill discipline in the market. I don't want to believe someone is acting out a script or else I will believe some igbos r being used to fight themselves just for the love of money. Continued violence or constant disturbance leading to loss of lives n property gives government the right to take over. |
Mynd44:I don't know if it is a conspiracy theory but what I know is Computer village is residential. I grew up in Ikeja, Seriki Aro street precisely. It is just 5 minutes walk to Pebble street. Believe me, I was shocked how the whole place changed after schooling. Anyway, it is none of my business what govt choose to do or not to do. |
veave:Walahi u don kolo. This is practicable though |
If you wantt him to stop, let him stop watching porn. As long he still watches it, stopping will be very difficult. He is only acting out what he had fed his mind with. Another danger is it may affect the potency of his sperm n his stamina in bed. If you really need to help him, you need to engage his mind. Feed him with the dangers of what he is doing. Let him read n see the effects. You can search this forum to read abt the side effect of wanking. Reading the bible too helps. Now you need to engage him or always discuss your daily bible reading and it's lessons. Don't threaten him o,rather pray for him; pray against his love for porn. He must not have anything that is porn related in his phone or in the house. Your absence is contributing to this habit growing |

eaglechild:You missed the point, didn't you? ![]() Why are u masking yourself in the face of seemingly campaigns of calumny by PDP . |
In the spirit of....we have sheathed our sword. Like seriously? That man is a clown. I truly believe some tribes lack wisdom on how to live with others without being confrontational n entitled. The Oba goofed. Quite alright, but must you guys abuse the institution the Yorubas hold dearly because you can't control your emotions. When Asari threatened the Yoruba if GEJ even lost the election, we didn't hear so much noise. So wetin be na problem sef? It is obvious u guys are still living in the past, you wear a mask of hatred, you feel easily marginalised and this attitude is so irritating pathetic. So Mr. man, don't sweat because nobody will witch-hunt your businesses or your people. We shall only sanitize the system within the confines of the law which affects everybody. When you r right, u needn't fear. One Love! In case you lot don't know, you lose some rights when govt use your state as the capital. So Yoruba also sacrificed lands by having Lagos as the formal capital. Thank God Lagos is no longer. Up Apc. |
No person in position by virtue of the constitution subverts it and still enjoys the blessing of the constitution.-GMB God bless you my President-elect. Sanity must return to the system. |
Caracta: You better don't let them drag u into their hatred. This is d politics section. |
missclasssy:God bless u jare. Very pathetic fellow bereft of understanding of simple logic. Arghhhh! |
emmylight4u: Fireproof!? I can't see the correlation btw the two. But you may be right though. @multicast, u too always return ur call, courtesy demands that. |
whosefault:You be robot programmed to be calling when u can text if u want to be communicating constantly. The problem with the op is he is too mindful of his wife's attitude. Do your duty n leave the rest. Don't lose ur job and mind becos of your wife. Don't over love sm1,they always hurt d most. |
This isn't coming to me as a surprise. OBJ has decided to make himself a sacrificial lamb for GMB to prosecute other thieves in Nigeria. The best is yet to come. Just watch out. |
It is obvious he spoke the minds of majority of his kinsmen. I hope the pseudo- sophisticated Yorubas will see who they call friends are actually scheming and planning to taunt n rubbish what they hold dear. It is also glaring that their town hall meeting is more than business but how to oust n dominate their host. It is so sad to know people you trust think like this. People have the right to aspire in the land, and they have the freedom to choose who to vote for but a situation where you start acting confrontational becos you believe the people love peace and are weak;then you have challenged them, acted foolishly and greedy. I now have hatred for PDP than before and the party that promotes division n hatred like GEJ will fizzle out in no time. I don't bliv in violence as this is not the solution. First port of call, >every gathering of people that incites in any form or act mustn't be allowed henceforth. > All chieftaincy title must be well documented and answerable to one ruler within the laws governing traditional titles. >History of Lagos must be mandatory in all schools in Lagos. >Lands should only be leased as the land belongs to government. This affects everybody. |
^^ Believe me,this is educative and informative as well. Focus on your area of interest and utilise it for your own good. I learned and felt it was good sharing for the benefit of others. Peace! |
This defection is annoying as far as I am concerned. I trust Tinubu on this;they will only remain relevant in their states to checkmate the growth of PDP and not on the national level. Only those who believed in the dream and struggle will have d juicy part. I also hope PDP becomes regional party as it obvious they can't thrive being in the opposition; bereft of ideas or any respectable leader to lead. |
One thing everyone should know is that losing belly fat shouldn’t just be done to to look better. Those “love handles” aren’t just unattractive, carrying that extra weight around the abdomen is really bad for your health. It is so much worse to carry weight on your middle rather than carrying weight on your hips or thighs, and it is a key indicator of a hormonal imbalance. If you have struggled to lose weight or keep it off, your hormones are could very likley be the problem. Your hormones play a part in every aspect of weight loss including your metabolism, where you store your fat, your appetite and even your cravings. Any form of hormonal imbalance will sabotage weight loss efforts, regardless of your diet and exercise habits. Hormones That Trigger Belly Fat Abdominal fat also sets the stage for aging, increasing the risk of heart disease and diabetes. A program to get rid of this stubborn fat must include proper diet, exercise, sleep and motivation, as all of these components work well to boost fat loss. First lets break down each of the hormonal players in this process, and list the suggestions for that will help get you back on track. Extra belly fat can indicate one or more of the following hormonal imbalances: High Insulin High Estrogen Low Testosterone High Cortisol Low DHEA Low Growth Hormone Controlling Insulin Levels Insulin is an essential substance that helps process sugar in the bloodstream and carry it to cells where it is used as fuel, or stored as fat. Having high blood insulin levels is a risk factor for developing belly fat as well as, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The primary cause if high insulin levels is excess intake of sugar or refined carbohydrates typical of many diets today. This includes nutrient-poor items such as processed foods, sugary drinks and sodas, packaged low-fat foods, along with insufficient protein & fiber intake and inadequate “good” fat consumption. Insulin resistance can also be attributed to a lack of exercise, overindulging in alcohol, too much stress, a family history of diabetes, high blood pressure and excess body fat, especially around the abdomen. Chronically high levels of insulin can lead to a pre-diabetic condition called metabolic syndrome, otherwise known as insulin resistance which only furthers weight gain. It is currently estimated that 1 out of every 4 North Americans has insulin resistance. Foods To Help A study published in Diabetes Care (March 2002) found a higher-protein diet helps to shed stubborn belly fat, as researchers compared a high-protein diet with a low-protein diet in 54 obese men and women with type 2 diabetes. Those on the high-protein diet had significantly greater reductions in total and abdominal fat mass and a greater reduction in LDL cholesterol. By trying to get about 20 to 25 grams per meal and about 15 to 20 grams per snack for women, and an extra 10 g of protein per meal and 5 g per snack for men, is a good place to start depending on your body size and workout schedule. Higher protein intake keeps blood sugar balanced and insulin levels low which is a must for appetite control and fat loss. Protein also packs a hormonal punch because it stimulates the fat-burning and appetite-controlling hormones when we consume it in the right amounts. Your best protein options are lean, organic forms like chicken, turkey, low-fat cheese, such as ricotta or cottage cheese, omega-3 eggs and shellfish, such as scallops that are 100% protein. Eating more dark green vegetables and fiber-rich, whole-grain foods, while consuming less alcohol and foods containing trans fats and added sugars is also super helpful in controlling insulin levels. Controlling Estrogen Levels Estrogen dominance occurs when estrogen levels in the body are at a much higher level than other sex hormones, mainly progesterone. Symptoms of estrogen dominance are obesity, with fat accumulating in the mid-section, fibrocystic breasts and ovaries, menstrual irregularity, headaches and often breast cancer. Abdominal fat in men increases the conversion of testosterone into estrogen. As estrogen levels increase, so does the tendency to accumulate more abdominal fat, as does the risk of prostate cancer. A premenopausal woman with high levels of estrogen will likely have PMS, too much body fat around the hips and difficulty losing weight. Men ans well as menopausal women can experience low libido, memory loss, poor motivation, depression, loss of muscle mass, and increased belly fat. Foods To Help One easy way to help control the level of estrogen in the body is through your diet. Plant foods contain natural chemicals called phytonutrients or phytochemicals. These chemicals help protect plants from germs, fungi, bugs, and other threats, but have also been studied for their estrogen-like activity. Two nutrients known as isoflavonoids (genistein and daidzien, from soybeans) and lignans (from nuts and flax seeds) are converted by the beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract into compounds that have estrogen-like properties. To derive the most benefit from these phytonutrients the flora of the intestinal tract must be in a healthy balance. Unfortunately, the intestinal flora is killed off by many drugs that women commonly use, especially antibiotics. Phytoestrogen content varies in different foods, and may vary significantly within the same group of foods. Some food richest in phytoestrogen content are nuts, seeds, soy products, and legumes. Flaxseed and other oilseeds contained the highest total phytoestrogen content, followed by soybean, soy milk, tempeh and tofu. But you can also find them in sesame seeds, wheat, berries, oats, barley, dried beans, lentils, yams, rice, alfalfa, mung beans, apples, carrots, pomegranates, wheat germ, rice bran, ginseng, fennel and anise. Raising Testosterone Levels Testosterone is a male sex hormone that affects more than just sex drive. This hormone is also responsible for bone and muscle health, sperm production, and hair growth. Testosterone levels tend to taper off as we age, but also if we become obese or too stressed. Testosterone levels are caused to decrease as abdominal fat converts it to estrogen, and also with increasing stress. While you are under stress, your body will tend to make more stress hormone (cortisol) than testosterone. Today men are experiencing testosterone decline much earlier in life, which is quite an alarming finding, considering low testosterone has been linked to depression, obesity, osteoporosis, heart disease and even death. Researchers from the University of Washington found that men with low testosterone are more likely to develop a pot belly and other body fat. They also found that testosterone may prompt the loss of body fat when deficient levels are replaced. Other signs that you may have low testosterone levels include a loss of muscle tissue, and decreased strength, stamina, drive and motivation. Low testosterone or low T, is often medically treated to prevent future health problems, but you can also consume more testosterone-boosting foods as a natural complement to low T treatments. Foods That Help Oysters: These contain zinc, which in addition to increasing testosterone, increases muscle growth, physical endurance, and sperm production. Broccoli Garlic Bananas Brazil nuts Eggs Vitamin D is a nutrient that helps the body absorb calcium, but it’s also important for bone health, the immune system, and many other body functions. Vitamin D is also linked to longer life and testosterone production. A study from Hormone and Metabolic Research found that healthy, overweight men who were involved in a weight reduction program experienced higher testosterone levels after receiving vitamin D every day for a year. Isn't this preposterous to even conceive. So you will be APC by position but PDP in the heart. Either Nigeria is a joke or the Senate is. Rubbish! APC will be damn to accept this arrangement because the idea itself is selfish n borne out of greed. Anyway, our politicians don't stand for sometin; they aren't idealistic |

KanwuliaJara:You are wrong to say POLYGAMY is an open marriage. Although,it's more like it but with a clause. Open marriage, according to my dictionary is when each partner agrees to have sexual relationship with another partner whenever they feel. The word is 'agree'. They both accepted. There are some aspects we feel are wrong in our culture that can be corrected but OPEN MARRIAGE is not. Imagine such ideology? What does it promote and prevent if I may ask you? I will be right to assume this is a lady's response to polygamy? What happens to polyandry? |
Vickybee:Now you are generalizing. Typing from experience , hearsay or research? |
KanwuliaJara:Walahi, i dey gbadun u . But you know that open marriage is anti-African in its ideology. It can't work here except to promote western ideology that doesn't last but promotes lewdness. I have no problem with whatever rocks people's boat;however, we should understand it's effect on the society as a whole. |
KanwuliaJara: .How are u? It's been awhile. |
