It is okay. Your repeated questions on this thread suggest you have no idea how things work in the world of work.

He should have been disqualified as a CEO from the start, bah? By who exactly? What's the meaning of CEO/Co-Founder in your book, SmartyPants?
By his co-founder and early major investors obviously. If they were sensible he would have been asked to take the CTO position and stay out of the limelight. Eventually, you will see that he will be asked to step down and this should have been done sooner. Period.

You are the one behaving like a toddler. Obviously, substitute 2013 with 2015 and answer the question. Should he not have been disqualified as CEO right from the start given his history before then?

Is sexual misconduct not a serious enough allegation in your book?

Or, is it that you are simply incapable of processing the information you read?
Nawa o. Let me put it this way for you: the question is why was he not suspended in 2013?

DaddyJapan:
If I am a young man, you are definitely a toddler.

Now, listen, since the article does not suggest he was suspended just for his tweets, I really do not understand your intervention here.

Footnote: Comprehension is king.
Why are you so hard of hearing? The point you responded to simply states that he ought to have been suspended sooner over his tweets. That the board is just suspending him now over the episode as a whole, shows laxity on their part, because the tweets alone were already worthy of disciplinary action. So it's either they knew and didn't act which makes them negligent, or they didn't know at all, which still makes them negligent. Please do your best to digest this. You claim to be old...behave like it.

Did you read the article at all?
Young man, the point he is making is that the board ought to have been aware of these tweets before now since they have been in the public domain for over 10 years. It's a matter of basic due diligence.

Wike is beginning to make fct minister look like land allocation & reallocation minister does he has office in charge of land matter.
But is that not his office? He is the final authority on land in the FCT and we all know that a tremendous amount of corruption in land administration has gone on in the past. He is doing his job.

Learn how to take correction gracefully

You claimed Governors can seize land
You were wrong and ignorant

Instead of accepting correction with grace
Your weak ego feels it must win some silver and so you manufacture a meaningless argument

Unilateral is not that deep a word
It simply means one sided. It is not for you to unilaterally determine what it means ( pun intended)

Governors cannot seize land

They can acquire land compulsorily but there are checks and balances
They must give formal notice , pay compensation and they cannot unilaterally determine how much compensation
Acquired must be for a PURPOSE. It us subject to judicial review

So please spare me the juvenile sophistry , it is tedious and boring

I am not debating whether Wike is right .
I merely corrected some misinformation you put out there

Governors CANNOT SEIZE LAND PERIOD
huh

Why are you going back to the question of the word seize? I clearly agreed with you there. Seizure is not the word. However, is the power of the governor and the FCT minister over land unilateral? Yes, it is by every definition, and no, it has nothing to do with the number of steps in the process. Consult your dictionary if in doubt, and rest.

You are doing nothing but exposing your own boring, recalcitrant attitude.
Politics › Re: Officer Yerima Breached The Law In That Faceoff With Wike - Prof. Sebastine Hon by SmartyPants(m): 8:03pm On Nov 12, 2025
aribisala0:
No it is not unilateral and you are talking theory that you don't know
There must be notice of acquisition and fair compensation must be paid
Notice must specify purpose and offer compensation
Unilateral would implying one party determined compensation or pays nothing . Section 30 allows court intervention if there is a dispute over compensation
It must be acquired for a public PURPOSE.

Government cannot acquire land and sit on it or share it to cronies
Let's build on a solid foundation to begin with, and having said that, you have the meaning of unilateral wrong. Unilateral means there is one deciding authority.

What you have done is a classic strawman argument: misdefine a word and argue against what was never said. Nobody said there is no process. I said there is only one authority with the power to issue and revoke rights of occupancy. Every stage of the process you described is still subject only to the governor's authority. It can only be challenged after the fact and on specific grounds. Nobody said the government can take land and give its cronies either.

What you are also missing is that all this grammar is irrelevant in this particular case because obviously, the claim is not that the property was revoked but that it was never issued in the first place.

What it boils down to is that in any case whatsoever, Wike is right and the Vice Admiral is wrong.

Governor cannot. SEIZE land

That is a wrong word

There is room for compulsory acquisition in public interest

It is not seizure

Compensation must be paid

Also there is a procedure

It is not arbitrary or unilateral or with immediate effect
Fair enough. However the procedure is definitely unilateral. It can only be challenged on the basis that the acquisition was not in public interest and that is a hard argument that has hardly ever succeeded. It's a terrible law but it is the law.

So people who go to Court against a Governor for trying to grab their land, their head is not correct?
That they do it without obeying the law doesn't make it right.
The Land Use Act is clear: the governor can seize land without needing approval from any other authority. Those who feel aggrieved can seek the aid of a court of law, and they may be granted relief. But that does not in any way mean the governor must first obtain the permission of a court to seize land or revoke occupancy. That's not our law.

So there are no soldiers attached to a former CNS after retirement?
His own house, he is building?
I am not a military officer, but you can't enter my house without a court order, that you want to come and view what? Did you keep anything there?
If the FCTA officials were denied entry, Wike can now walk up the chain of command or go to his boss or better still go to Court.

Gambo has a right to put soldiers in his site, if it is confirmed it is illegal, is it by taking the press and DSS officials to show power? Power pass power nah.

You see the problem?
Who confirmed the land is illegal?
Did Wike come to that site with any document to show it is illegal?
Did he come with any Court order to show it is illegal?

You are saying it is illegal because Wike said so? A man notorious for land grabbing? The officer said the land belongs to Mr A, Wike said shut up, I am to tell you whether it is legal or not, is that reasonable? Absolutely not, no Court has found that land to be illegal, or is there any? Wike should save his tears and go to Court.
Are you not a lawyer? Does the governor of a state need a court order to revoke even the legally acquired property, much less one he seems illegally acquired? Which law are you relying on here, that says Wike needs a court order to take that land in the name of the State?

If we were to judge the matter by law and legality, Wike will win.

But this matter is complicated.

Vice Admiral AZ Gambo is senior to the current CDS, General Oluyode, and by that, the CDS cannot go against his orders. This is simple military tradition and precedence.

The only person that can give a counter order to the orders of Vice Admiral Gambo is the Commander-In-Chief, Tinubu, but even Tinubu must be careful because there’s a way he’d handle the matter in favour of the law (Wike) and he would anger the rank and file of the military establishment which will not be good at all.

Remember he just survived a coup.

There’s a reason people like AZ Gambo are left alone to do their thing as far as their actions are not very much against the law or threat to public peace and order.

How much does Wike and FCT ministry want to generate from the General registering for his development levy. It’s a totally unnecessary fracas.

I won’t be surprised if Wike is sacked because of this.
Stop talking nonsense. Gambo is retired and has absolutely no authority within the military hierarchy.

Official duty or not, LT Yerima can not be blamed for carrying out an order given to him by his superior. Military personnel are trained to carry out any order given to them by superior officers. Disobeying his superior is seen as mutiny.
Wat are my driving at? The Admiral should be held accountable and not the innocent LT who was only carrying out an order as stated in the military.
That is incorrect. A soldier is entitled to disobey an illegal order. Even at that, his manner of approach could have been much better.

Do you understand that the FCT minister is the administrative authority in charge of land in the FCT? Therefore for a soldier not on official duty (the person who sent them there is even retired), to restrict his access to that land when on his own official duty is against the law that creates and empowers Wike's office? It’s not even about that. It’s glaring that Nigerian leads in the African entertainment industry, but the point is that, some people are not just worth the nomination.

Davido, Wiz and Burna have had their peaks and released good music in the past, but as of date, in all truthfulness, these guys are not performing and should not be in the nomination.

Many Nigerian artiste killed it far ahead of them. I am lover of Wiz’s songs, but of recent, if truth must be told, it’s all trash! Same with Davido and Burna.

Someone explained to me on this forum that, Grammy’s is a bidding of record labels and why artistes with strong record labels make it to nominations. It is never about the music but recognition to make more profit on their signed artistes.

What did Wiz, Burna and Davido sing compared to their other artiste. Combine all the hit tracks of the three in 24/25, it still cannot flaw the album of an artiste like BNXN.
Even at their best, none of them has created a masterpiece like Asa's Jailer.

Logically, if Trump bombs bandits and boko haram in the name of protecting Christians, doesn't that also make Muslims safer?

And what happens after, without cooperating with the Nigeria Military who does the rest?
That's our point, first is that it was wrong for Trump to chose the divisive rhetoric of helping Christians, are others being killed not human? That line can easily create a Religious diversity that can become more terrible in the future
Is something tying the hands of the Nigerian military from stepping up to finish the job?? With the bandits in disarray, that old be their golden opportunity to finish the job and redeem their tattered image. If they don't, then we'll know that indeed it was a deliberate strategy all along.

The religious division already exists and it has become entrenched by the fact that no one from the other side speaks up when horrendous atrocities are committed against Christians. Entire villages wiped out. That is a different scale of violence but on the other side they either keep quiet, indicated subtle acceptance, or try to dismiss it by claiming "ehn Muslims too are being killed" as if that solves the problem.

So, we are saying: those who quarrel with Trump have no interest in solutions, rather they feel the need to defend their religion, and that shows we are already divided.

They will never put boots on the ground to chase ragtag bandits in Nigeria. Trump has not done so anywhere and Nigeria is not anywhere close to being important enough.

They will simply bomb the terrorists in their various camps and take out their major leaders and that is indeed enough to disrupt their operations for at least a decade.

In as much as I want all the Islamic terrorists and Fulani terrorists wiped out including there sponsors by the United State in the North, there would be a big humanitarian crisis in the South too and that's the fact.
There is no law stopping the movement of people from the North to the South in Nigeria including the disguised terrorists. They will move down south to find shelter. We are talking about 250 million Nigerians here.
Is the South ready for this infiltration and the consequences it will bring? Is the South ready to take care of the Northern immigrants because you cannot stop them from free movement.
If there are targeted raids against bandits and boko haram in the forests, how does that trigger the displacement of northerners from their cities and villages? I want to understand your reasoning, please.
