😅Funny guy. So how come this more comprehensive list below has SIX companies AND SIX founders.

https://www.nairaland.com/8507998/number-foreign-born-founders-founded#136612326
What's your point?? huh Genuinely - why are you going on about SIX companies and SIX founders....to prove what?

If you haven't noticed, the thread says 6 founders, not 6 businesses. Why are you jittery?

So how come he lists 5 companies when the list says 6??!😅
5 companies but 6 founders because Flutterwave has two Nigerian co-founders as you can see on the list.

Simple sturvs.

You are cross-referencing a 2025 list with 2022 data and asking if there is a clash. Na wa o...obviously, some of those companies from the 2022 list have lost some value.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Equatorial Guinea President’s Son Convicted For Selling National Plane by SmartyPants(m): 10:05am On Aug 28, 2025
This is just the family disciplining a young one who seems to have broken some rules. Perhaps he stepped on the toes of his eldest brother, Teodorin, who is the vice president and president-in-waiting when the father leaves. Perhaps the young man has become a political threat him.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Equatorial Guinea Jails Baltasar Engonga For Embezzlement by SmartyPants(m): 7:57pm On Aug 27, 2025
This guy was seen as a threat to the president's son because he is a nephew to the president and was seen as a potential rival for succession. This sentence makes him a convict and effectively kills his political career.

Nothing to do with the women he slept with, which was also leaked to tarnish his image.

Wow so Oyo is preferred to the FCT ,Rivers state,
Delta state, AkwaIbom in terms of relocation .

And kwara is having a higher relocation index than Rivers state. This is getting interesting.

And Lagos is not even in the list.
This is a nonsense list unless they mean preferred states to go to when leaving Lagos. Then I'll agree.
Politics › Re: Tinubu In Brazil: Air Peace To Begin Direct Flights To Sao Paulo by SmartyPants(m): 6:26am On Aug 26, 2025
PepeXKermit:
1. Nigeria has never been a tourist hub. Ask yourself. How many foreigners, on their own decide to take trips to nigeria, this is excluding foreigners who were either influenced due to their relationships with nigerians.

2. Trade between cou tries is very limited by air. Most trades are actually done by sea.

3. Can you explain whwt you mean by growth of local aviation industry?
You're funny sha.

1. You say Nigeria has never been a tourist hub. Okay. Is that not the essence of boosting tourism?? And are you not aware that last year's detty December trend has seen Nigeria beginning to merge as a viable tourism hub anyway? Is this not something to capitalise on?

2. That is why I mentioned cottage industries. Products from cottage industries are usually sent as air cargo.

3. It means our indigenous airline companies will have opportunities to fly more international routes, which means they will hire more Nigerians.

PepeXKermit:
Can you please list out the benefits of a dirrct flight to brazil?
How can you boldly ask such a question? You mean you can't sit and think and get these answers for yourself:

1. Boost in tourism as it becomes easier for Brazilians to visit Nigeria. This could be particularly crucial as Brazil and Nigeria have deep symbolic connections. Further, Lagos might then serve as a regional hub to connect to the sub-region.

2. Boost in mutual trade through simplified export routes, particularly for cottage industries

3. Growth of the local aviation industry with job expansion and larger tax base

You can't be serious.

Democratic institutions were at the strongest during obj's time...

Some of you don't have basic compression. In a class of 10 even if all the students failed one person will still have the best result.

And I'm not saying obj failed... I'm just saying he was the best leader however you looked at it.

Simple Comprehension!
Is there any part of my statement that says he was not the best? Why are you so reactive and emotional that you can't even stop to process the simple statement put before you?

Well, the funniest part is you talking about comprehension when you don't have any. Did I compare Obasanjo with anyone??

Regardless of anything else you want to say, Obasanjo is the author of the confusion that reigns in Nigeria today, because if he had not perfected the art of rigging when he should have been building strong democratic institutions, APC would never have removed Jonathan the way they did. We would at least have faith in the electoral system and thus, in the political future of the country.

So, whether you think Obasanjo is the first or the last, my point to you is that you are engaging in an act of cognitive dissonance when you simultaneously extol him and mourn the current state of Nigeria.

That's right...

I was watching his podcast recently and couldn't help thinking the same.

Unfortunate he might never see Nigeria get better.

He was one of the greatest leaders Nigeria ever had though. I can see how passionately he sometimes speaks about a better Nigeria.

Dude did his best as president but somehow the trajectory of progress after his tenure was diverted by those after him. Instead of building on what progress was made under him

It's unfortunate we now find ourselves in the situation where we presently are in!
That is his fault. Because instead of building strong democratic institutions, he chose to entrench the politics of patronage and electoral fraud.

Smh, some of yhu really don't understand anything, only to condemn and condemn ...but let me just school you a little: Read - Exodus 31:1-3 (NIV):

Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze.’
And what have you "schooled" here?

Even your manner of communication shows how unreformed your heart is. Of course, I don't expect a money-driven mind to get the message I passed up there. So, continue.

Is that what Church is for? Can you give me any example of such in the scriptures? This is the defining trait that has put Nigeria wher eit is: everything is somehow linked to self-promotion and money.

This your comment is prejudiced...

Muslim women are mostly more disciplined and decent than other religions.

Having the strictest laws doesn't mean they wouldn't be cases where individuals would rebel or go outside those laws.

But generally they are dedicated and decent and you can't have a system that's 100% foolproof especially when dealing with humans. Your comment sounds hateful sef.

Make una try not to derail the op's thread. Stay on point/focus. Na advice carry am come here!
Sorry, but this is a lie. Women are women, and they have the same urges. Take any muslim woman and put her in a free society, and she will behave the exact same way as non-muslim women. I am telling you from very personal experience.

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that. Male prostitutes are usually patronised by older women, and they don't care about big dick energy. They like em good looking, muscle-bound, and submissive.

You do need to look for things to complain about just to satisfy your urge to be negative. Of which, we all know why you feel the need to be negative.

Dangote is an immense philanthropist. If you don't know, be kind enough to make use of googoo.

How does Forbes determine these things? I am 100% certain that these people didn't disclose their earnings to anyone because rich people, probably because of safety concerns, don't like discussing their wealth.

Given what the media has made us believe, there are people who are by far richer than these folks who made the list but they are silent kingmakers who don't want the world to know them. We have been told they are the biggest problems in our world undecided
It's not about income mister. It's about assets. Shareholdings in companies. Real estate holdings. Etc. All of these are publicly accessible.
