AlomoReloaded: Confused mofos. Those so called Delta-Igbos are more confused than I'd ever wish my worst enemy. They'll vehemently tell you they are not Igbo.... That they are Delta... Just like Fulani, saying "I'm Kaduna".... When pushed further, they'll say they are "Delta-Igbo".... One just can't help but wonder the kind of iberiibe that will make them add Igbo, to Delta and still say they aren't Igbo. Funny people. When they jam Isoko, Urhobo, Itsekiri, and the wahala giving Ijaw, they'll be quick to say they are Igbo... Just to hide under the protective shadow of the title of "Igbo".... Very funny people. But sir, is it compulsory for all Igbos to be in the South Eastern zone? I don't see anywhere where they've said they are not Igbo. They simply said they wish to remain in the South-South. Where is the crime in that? |

I think Nigeria is more or less a fourth world country, even more backward han Kenya. Lord!!!
I can't believe Nairobi has more sky scrappers than Abuja. BBC said that Okay, so what if Nairobi has more skyscrapers than Abuja? Abuja is still a far better place to live. As if skyscrapers are now supposedly a measure of development. Bush fellow! By the way, Nairobi is both the commercial nerve centre and capital city. Imagine combining Lagos and Abuja? |

Business › Re: Central Bank Interventions Will Stabilise Naira – Pwc by SmartyPants(m): 9:50am On Jun 26, 2024 |
mrvitalis: This CBN? I doubt
Massive CBN soft loans to key manufacturing sector is the only thing that can save Nigeria
If I was president now
1) I would cancel the 15 trillion naira Lagos to calabar road and divert the money to the manufacturing sector
Pharmaceutical industry would get 2 trillion loan interest free for 3 years then 7% after payment after 6 years
Loan can only be used to build in infrastructure to manufacture what they import or expand what they locally produced
This would instantly create 200,000 jobs minimum and add 100 billion yearly revenue to the government minimum
Do same for chemical industry, and some other key industry
This is how u stablize an economy not by intervention or building infrastructure You don't get it. What you described will strengthen the naira but only in the long term. Here we are talking about stabilization, meaning, to bring it to a resting state devoid of fluctuations. What you described will actually create a short term currency crisis because manufacturing is heavily import-dependent especially in the beginning. Thus will cause so much more pressure on the naira. It's not the right time for such policies at all |
Celebrities › Re: GAC Motor gift Davido & wife a brand new GAC motor 2024 GN8 MPV,a wedding gift by SmartyPants(m): 9:26am On Jun 26, 2024 |
IfnobeGod20: There's no need giving it to me but the money for this car can go a long way to cushion the effect of this excruciating economy on the poor people on the street. I am not a poor person because I live an average life and can afford what to eat with my family.
Mr. Man, this your quotation, that's trading on talents. It's not applicable on giving to the poor as encouraged by the same Bible. So many places in the Bible that God admonished the people to always give to the poor because he knows there will always be poor people around us but today do people give to the poor, they rather give to those that have. This is what has brought poverty into the world. You still don't get it and didn't think you would! This world works with value not emotional sentiments. David Adeleke is Davido to you and I because he offers something of value! It value that attracts rewards. Wherever you see poverty, what you are seeing is the absence of value. And I don't mean that the persons in themselves lack value as human beings, but they lack economic value to contribute to the world. He that has value to offer will be given more. He that doesn't have will have the little that he has taken from him. It is an unchangeable law of life. Now, is there any part of the Bible that asks you to keep your eyes on what other people are giving? You are enjoined to give what you have and also to mind your business and live a quiet life! Who told you GAC (or its owners) doesn't also give to the poor? Does the Bible ask us to announce when we give? Furthermore, is GAC as a company responsible for alleviating poverty in the world or for maximising profit for their shareholders through diligent stewardship? Continuing with the parable of the talents, would the wise servant have been commended if he took his master's investment and gave it to the poor? Finally, do you think GAC is giving to Davido as a form of poverty alleviation or to promote its brand as any reasonable business would? How are you reasoning? |

banku: I made it clear that I don't care about Burma Boy. If he has to clear all the hospital bills, he might as well build his own hospitals and pay the staff.
What is rampant in our communities today are ingrates all over looking towards an individual to give more than he can. This is how we create looters from our constituencies.
Governments are responsible for basic services but we put too much responsibilities on even the ones that are barely surviving. It's always more and more expectations from those less able while nobody dare looters with heavy security.
Again, I could care more or less about Burma but I care about the good Samaritans among us that the culture of ingrates have driven out of their minds. Who is the ingrate in this situation? |

Taxation must come with reasonable justification, better representation, and significant results in the quality of life of the people being taxed. Lawmakers, executives, bureaucrats, and the judiciary cannot be living large corruptly, while the citizens wallow in abject poverty and wade through swamps of difficulties. Nigeria has one of the worst cases of taxation without equal rights and better life for all. How much was your tax bill last month? |

They've been around since the early 2010s and while I was an early doubter like you at that time, my colleague went ahead and got his MBA with them. If you have doubts, simply write to the universities they work with and ask if indeed they do offer such programs in partnership with Unicaf. Simple. The issue with Unicaf is that the so-called scholarship is still way more expensive than the average Nigerian worker can afford. |

What we need is a total clampdown on the activities of kidnappers. There should be land and air operatives working round the clock to secure the release of victims. Unfortunately, these kidnappers are treated with kids gloves and they are operating with impunity. Then no one will pay ransoms again... they dont release victims out of the goodness of their hearts. They do it for the interests of their evil business. |

Obviously there is so much going on around the country, however, that you shouldn't need to ask. A tremendous amount of infrastructure development in the federal capital territory, a tremendous amount of recurrent and capital military expenditures, major transport projects like the Lagos-Calabar road, railways being comissioned and so on. Even at that, the only way to answer this question is to ask, what was this money meant for--which is captured in the budget, and has it been used accordingly? |

Very serious topic. But this was hilarious: “What if a terrorist bought the general’s NIN slip, got his SIM card and sent a message to the troops and said, ‘Meet me at 0700. 14 degrees north,’ just to ambush them? The implications are serious. It means that anybody can claim to be you. They can get your SIM card and do it.” The armed forces don't work with phone messages. They operate with what are called signals. And in any case, getting your NIN and registering your a sim in your name still doesn't mean your contacts will immediately recognize that number as yours. |
