There's no way you will not both fill the roles of parent to each other at some point in time. When the man is at his lowest ebb, he will first explain his predicaments to his wife and will rely on her for a measure of parental nurturing and vice versa for the wife too.
When spouses are celebrating milestones, the most important person they look out for in the audience is his or her spouse. Thats the role children put their parents o. Did you hear wife in all that the man said?? |
Politics › Re: I Pity Tinubu If He Approves Unsustainable Minimum Wage - Soludo by SmartyPants(m): 5:13pm On Jun 12, 2024 |
Obi1kenobi: The government cannot solve everyone's problems. At this point, ensuring the government is solvent and fiscally responsible, services its debts and has good credit and achieves macro-economic stability is the best way to ensure that EVERYONE is lifted with an improving economy. Not unrealistic demands for a minimum wage, as if there's some magic money tree that the government can just shake and all the money they need will fall down. Anyone who thinks the Federal government can pay the lunatic demands of the NLC and TUC is haplessly deluded. Even the 62,000 the government are proposing are commitments that will be very hard to live up to.
If people can't afford to be on minimum wage, they should avoid minimum wage jobs and build an independent livelihood for themselves. You get it. Its not about a hand to mouth minimum wage. its about good governance and liberating the private sector |

franchasofficia: What are they protesting for please?
Yoruba people should stop deceiving Nigerians with all these yeye protests to save face.
You wanted your tribesman to become President at all cost despite knowing fully well that if we are to consider justice, equity and fairness, 2023 was simposed to have gone to Igbos to produce President.
Please enjoy your Tinubu in peace as he has been busy enriching Yorubas by appointing Yorubas in virtually all available appointments under Federal government jurisdiction which made Goodluck Jonathan an ex President to come out today to plead with Tinubu indirectly to stop leading a tribal democracy of thinking that as he has become President, it is winner takes it all for himself and his Yoruba tribesmen.
Please enjoy your stolen mandate in peace, nature have a way of balancing things, time will tell I thought Obi won in Lagos? These should be his people whether Yoruba or Igbo. Its interesting you made it about ethnicity though. You have always been a hardcore tribalist hiding under the cover of victimhood but you can't hide for too long. Continue sir. |

phorget: Those that voted Tilumbu was of the opinion that he built Lagos and that was the yardstick used in assuring others that he will definitely build Nigeria same way he 'built' Lagos. Lamido has made it clear that Tilumbu never built Lagos and I guess that has been the reason he has been failing in building Nigeria. It's like a student that bribed his way to graduation, he got a job offer and failed to deliver. You didn't read my post well... I said it doesn't mean he will do well in all things as a president. Meaning those who used Lagos as their yardstick may have been right in relation to some things. This is because the job of a president is vastly different from that of a governor in many ways, while being similar in many ways. So he can perform better in the areas of similarity perhaps, and in the other areas, he may be a failure. |

Since he knows how to build and was a governor himselc, what did he build? optimusprime2: I keep emphasizing that; the statement "BAT built Lagos" is an insult to Lateef Jakande. You really need to up your communication game. 1. Firstly, I never mentioned LASG. I wonder why you brought it up. We're you paid by LASG for Thai comment? We are discussing a statement made by the LASG and you are saying you never mentioned LASG as a defence. How clever. 2. Secondly, you only regurgitated the buzzword (decentralise) used in the article. You added no useful information to the already unhelpful article. That was my concern. For you to have found this write-up concerning, there must be fundamental issues with your level of education. For your enlightenment, decentralise means what it sounds like: to take something from the centre and distribute it such that it becomes within reach of the entire circumference of an area. Is circumference troublesome for you too? |

beardedboy: Yes, he doesn't. Did he study town planning?
If you want to write a research paper then don't publish it on a public forum. Public forums are meant for laymen. Mind you, you can be a professor of medicine but still be a layman in transport and urban planning.
So, being unable to understand this salad article doesn't make a person less intelligent.
People like you are the kind of coworkers and managers everyone should pray against. You speak jargons to cover your incompetence then gaslight people when asked to explain your jargons in simple English. Come off it. Did the LASG come to Nairaland to make this statement? This was a release from the unveiling of the Lagos State Transport Policy document, which is a technical document, and the unveiling would have been targeted at a technical audience. What you are reading is merely a reportage of the event. Now, when you look at it, what is really so confusing about what they've said here? Do you want to tell me that you could not grasp the message which is that the plan is to decentralise (hopefully this one too does not sound too big for you) central Lagos and make other areas viable commercial hubs while at the same time improving transportation links between all the various areas? Did you miss this? Then the problem is with you, not the speaker. |
Politics › Re: LASG Plans To Transform Lagos From “Monocentric” To “Polycentric" Metropolis by SmartyPants(m): 8:56am On Jun 09, 2024 |
Emeskhalifa: Abeg rest. What they are planning to do will decongest the traffic jam.
Take for instance here in Abuja, all development is just in one local government, even the one local government sef it is just one or two areas, central area and garki axis. Other local governments just seem not to be part of the Abuja. Now imagine if any minister can just come and switch to polycentric, it will decongest the traffic jam at Central area, even reduce the cost of house rent within that axis and takes development to other local governments
Imagine self contain in central area going for 1m whereas same self con in other local government is 50k to 100k. in Abuja? No way. |
