Nigerians; is it not too early to start praising Oga tinubu ? just because of few moves , here and there, and some inner - circle appointments, you guys start singing praises of him. are we now having more constant power supply ? - the answer is NO . has the daily senseless killings of innocent nigerians stopped, that nigerians are now more secure than before ? - the answer is NO. can we now be proud of our naira as a stable and strong currency ? - the answer is NO. are we now buying a litre of fuel at a cheaper rate than before ? - the answer is NO. can nigerians now boast of food security across the country ? the answer is NO. while am not condemning tinubu's presidency, it's unfair to him, that we should expect him, to change the fortunes of nigerians , with such an incredible speed - just 2 weeks, after Oga bubu's locusts government have done so much damage to our national psyche and economy. tinubu can't be a magician, with a magic wand to turn things around, in 2 weeks time. therefore do him a favor and stop putting him on the spotlight. time will tell if he is indeed a credible leader, that could deserve the praises of honest nigerians, not praise singers of corrupt leaders. |
Ezeama400:though it's a fact that Emefiele or whatever he is called, didn't act alone but was acting under Oga bubu's directives, but what stopped him from resigning from the position, instead of going ahead with such an obnoxious policy, that paralyzed and impoverished nigerians. though am not a fan of Oga tinubu, because of his Muslim -muslim ticket acceptance, but he is 100% right in boothing out Emefiele, they should make sure he is put to jail, for his economic crimes against nigerians, because as an economist he knows what he was doing, more than Oga bubu, who is just an ordinary cow dealer. |
allthingsgood:but Igbos have nothing to lose, in APC 'S tinubu's government, just like we have lost nothing in Oga bubu's government. because Nigeria government is not really beneficial to the masses. can you list what the north benefited from Oga bubu's government of 8 yrs of misery ? |
Confirmedzombie:na waaa oooo, tribalism no dey even tire una ? why tribalise and trivialize every sensitive issue affecting nigerians ? Igbos have suffered so much in your people's gibberish rants, to the point of you guys sounding stupid ? |
Sermwell:exactly. what ever money derived from subsidy removal, will still be looted by these our greedy political elites, and no huge amounts will be too much for them to loot. I wish nigerians can realize this. subsidy on its own is not a bad idea, but the inherent corruption in its application, by the political elites is the problem. likewise when you remove subsidy, to save more funds for other national developments, the same looting class will still be there to loot the funds and nigerians could be back to square one, without any benefits. Tinubu's govt , ought to checkmate corruption , before subsidy removal, or else it will just be like exchanging one problem with another problems. #kill corruption now. |
Gaabasky:what about the weak citizens that may not survive it, unlike people of your status that could survive such hard economic environment ? do you know how many citizens that perished due to Oga bubu's riotous mis-rule in the past 8 years ? its always safer to have a competent government, than to have an incompetent one, that could endanger the lives of the citizens, and put them in constant panic mode. I pray that president BAT should not continue from where the cow dealer stopped. |
Lush100:i didn't see any of your email, in my mailbox. ok. I will mail you later, i have been so busy since morning. |
President BAT replace Emefiele now, take him to another insensitive sector, for allowing himself to be used by Oga bubu, to suffer and impoverish nigerians, through the so-called naira-swap policy. CBN is too sensitive for Emefiele to handle. |
Lush100:op , what type of food are they producing ? pls, give me your WhatsApp number through my email, we need to chat, i have some boys for you. |
xpressionx:na waa oOoOO, president BAT just surprised me in such a negative way. hope he is not going to be more disastrous than Oga bubu - the cow dealer ? how can a leader just wake up and talk or even act without thinking of the implications ? this is unnecessary maximum suffering from day one of his administration. it's like tinubu is no more the tinubu, the known strategist. |
gidjah:but he is telling you the truth, even the huge funds that is expected from the removal of fuel subsidy may not be enough for these crooked political elites to embezzle, while leaving nigerian masses with nothing to benefit from it. other countries subsidized some products and services to their citizens, without much ado, but not with Nigeria because anything that will benefit the masses, the elites will always abuse and make a mockery of it through corruption. |
sotall:bros. i just wonder oooo. if this is not looting from day one, i don't know what else to call it. nigerians still have a month of grace before the fuel subsidy elapse, why the haste instead of using the period to put in place policies that will cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal. i just hope Oga tinubu will not disappoint us. |
proeast:am not a Yoruba, but am only explaining to you, what could be their thinking. you have a point there, that's why this stoppage of fuel subsidy without initially engaging the stake holders, where all these your misgivings could be addressed, is not the best. however it's left for the citizens to seriously raise all these issues with the government and to make sure that the money that will be accrued from the fuel subsidy stoppage are not plundered by corrupt political elites. |
proeast:pls, don't give people wrong impression, because as the FG is handing off any expenses from that sector, who will pay for the transportation cost to other parts of the country, from Lagos where the fuel will be distributed to their various destinations ? |
this fuel subsidy issue is a very sensitive one. how president BAT will handle it, will prove how capable he could be to govern the nation effectively. but the truth is that; subsidy on its own is not a bad idea, but the abuse of subsidy over any product such as fuel, by the corrupt elites had made it look like a bad venture. even when we eventually remove this fuel subsidy, the proceeds from this removal may still not be enough for the pilfering, corrupt, political elites to embezzle into their private pockets - remember no amount is too big for these our political crooks to plunder. it's fine removing fuel subsidy because of its abuse by the corrupt political elites, but the gain from doing that, without initially tackling corruption will only be minimal. the basic question; can president BAT sincerely fight against corruption in Nigeria ? |
lol. Reno; your culture is your culture, other people's culture, is other people's culture, because the Igbo man bows to no one else except his chi , or creator. you may wail till eternity over this issue, we don't give a damn because our revelance and worship belongs to our God alone. |
Danisklif:no good roads in Ogun state anymore, the people were expecting his government to do something about it, but he refused, instead he was paying lip service to the serious problem, of these death traps in the name of roads. Presently you can hardly see any quality roads in Ogun state, especially in the rural areas. the man is just there doing nothing . the citizens are not happy with him, for not identifying with their plights. |
ok. nice one there. time will tell, if this great speech will reflect the needed sincerity of purpose, and proven political will, to march these words with positive actions. may God direct and strengthen our new president, and may his reign bring forth peace and put a permanent stop to these senseless killings of innocent nigerians, across the nation. Amen. |
thank God, you are finally leaving the stage, but you have really messed up the stage. you were trained to control cows, how can you be able to control humans, especially nigerians ? congratulations to nigerians for surviving Oga bubu's style of insensitive leadership. congratulations to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu; we are basically expecting a positive and responsible leadership from you . if you rule the nation with fairness and justice, we nigerians will be solidly behind you, because all we want is a working nation. |
beerfraud:lol. where are the gallant officers whenever we need them most ? just last week, plateau state lost more than 150 innocent citizens -precious lives, yet no gallant officers to stop the massacres or effect any single arrest, as usual. it's like the noise of armless protesters, trigger their gallantry, while that of the real terrorists and murderers of innocent citizens, disarm their gallantry. what a shame and a misnomer ! |
mightyhaze:it's like you don't get my point; in my post i never said i love the person, you claimed he fostered on us, rather i said tinubu can never be as low as bubu in governance. but the fact is, love tinubu or hate him, he is now your president, therefore pray and hope that he will not perform abbsymally poor in governance like his predecessor. more over it's even your corrupt and greedy political class, that fostered tinubu on you guys, and not even the cow dealer that fostered him on nigerians alone. Oga bubu's efforts towards the success of Oga tinubu 's presidency was if anything, so minimal. the success of tinubu's presidency only proved that nigerians, especially the elites are morally bankrupt, therefore whatever money cannot buy, just more money can purchase it, therefore stop blaming the cow dealer for that. also it's not only tinubu that supported Oga bubu's presidency, rather the corrupt and greedy political elites, made it possible, through their selfishness. |
thank God, for may 29, for a new beginning for another new attempt at governance. my only consolation is that Oga tinubu 's administration can never be as low as that of Oga bubu's government, even though he may not have the magic wand to turn the fortunes of the nation around, his performance will still be far better, than that of the incompetentt cow- dealer, with nauseating bigotry. |
years of the locusts and the cankerworms . |
lol. but am actually celebrating Oga bubu's exit from aso-rock, because his 8 yrs on the saddle of leadership as our president, was simply an epitome of incompetence, his policies seems as if to punish and impoverish the poor masses, while making the wealthy class more richer. with Oga bubu's naira-swap policy, he almost succeeded in making me a begger, by destroying my business establishments, am now struggling and stranded, all thanks to Oga bubu's riotous mis-rule. do we talk about the needless killings of innocent nigerians by different criminal outfits, that Oga bubu's government, refused to stop their menace ? the incoming government of Oga tinubu, can never be, as low as that of this cow-dealer . i celebrate Oga bubu's exit, as a surviver . |
all these political niceties from CAN is highly repulsive, instead of taking the government of the day to task, and urging it to be a responsible leadership and protect innocent nigerians from all these needless killings, because when there's no attack, there will be no need for any reprisal attack. Let this govt arrest these murderers of innocent nigerians, and prosecute them, and they will be discouraged from commiting such heinous acts in the future. Nigerians defend yourselves. life is precious. |
nairalanda1:you didn't mention insecurities across the nation. without security and peaceful environment, all the above mentioned, can never be actualized. |
it really surprising to me that some people can risk such huge amounts on illegal business that could go sour, and all the money seized, while you're to be treated like a common criminal, and your image tarnished forever. with more than #500 million, one can establish a legitimate small scale industry, or business outfit and still live a decent and comfortable life. na waa for all these criminals ! |
MightyHand:honestly speaking, am not expecting any miracle from Oga tinubu, because the government of Oga bubu have really destroyed the Nigeria economy. the best i can hope from Oga tinubu, is for him to stop all these senseless killings of innocent citizens across the nation, but can he muster the political will to do that ? security and political stability is the most basic demand of nigerians, from Oga tinubu 's administration, because the citizens don't really depends on government for much things, than security and conducive environment to go about their businesses. i just hope tinubu wouldn't disappoint us by sympathizing with all these terrorists like Oga bubu's government, have been doing. |
Wagwanbrethren:bros. easy, easy oooo, there is a God oooo, though a merciful one. in a few years down the line from now, you will be forced to realize that there is a God and that he is never a useless entity. |
abeg Nigeria matter, don tire man- pikin. any how, any how, Nigeria and nigerians must survive whatever that may happen. |
haba, this is totally disgusting. how can you be in a pulpit and still have so much bitterness in your heart ? the christian body in Nigeria need to do something to redeem the image of Christianity in Nigeria , by hunting down all these fake pastors. |
PO 's constant apologies to those that actually throw the first stones on the obedients, before the obedients started attacking them, is really irritating to say the least. PO must stop that immature attitude, or else very soon the obedients movement will start stoning him alongside the crooked leaders of Nigeria. |
