Police inviting them for questioning has nothing to do with stopping the protest. They should obey the police invitation and know clearly why they were invited. Dont mind the idiots, are they protesting against election result in 2014. The law is simple, if you are not satisfied with election outcome you can challenge it in court not protest even when an election tribunal has been constituted with respect to Osun election. The truth remains that the PDP especially Saraki is trying to drag Nigeria into serious crisis before the 2019 election knowing fully well that PDP will surely lose the election. The international observes never concluded that the Osun re-run was marred by irregularities, they only made their expression based on unconfirmed reports. No matter what? Let them go to court and prove themselves. I thought they are talking about the rule of law? Saraki and his supporters should be ashamed of themselves, can you imagine the satanic Saraki who want to be Nigerian President, God forbid. He was the number three man in Nigeria and the head of the legislative arm of government for almost 4 years now without making any notable impact whereas he is accusing the federal government of failure foolishly not knowing he is a part of the government.

Has there ever, in this country, been a period where all but one of the heads of security services were from one region? The feeling of helplessness is fuelled by what the coupist has orchestrated in ALL but one arms of the forces. Never before has a man been so outwardly nepotistic with reckless abandon.

The DSS appointments made by the previous administrations you mentioned were officers STILL in service. Going to bring retired officers back into service breeds loom, breaks protocols and generate rancour.

If you must choose officers, twice, maybe choose the ones in service. Even though all but one other heads of service are from a region.

Your are totally senseless, go and check the profile of those appointed by the past government and tell me how many of them are career officers in the DSS before their appointment. Mischevious your head.

I continue to maintain that the media is one of the greatest threat to Nigeria democracy and good governance. The media is easily used by politicians to create feeling of hatred and negative perception about any government in power. Nigerian problem is not the president, our problem is within us. The level of ignorance among us in evidently notable coupled with wrong impression forced on us by the media which has continually tear us apart as a people. The type of journalism in Nigeria is indeed laughable and is far beyond acceptable global standard. The effect of bad journalism to Nigeria democracy is even worst than vote buying and rigging during election.
Why will someone want to paint the president black because of a lawful appointment he made? In the first instance what is the DSS meant for? The State Security Service (SSS), self-styled as the Department of State Services (DSS), is the primary domestic intelligence agency of Nigeria. It is primarily responsible for intelligence gathering within the country and for the protection of senior government officials, particularly the President and state governors. It is one of three successor organisations to the National Security Organization (NSO), dissolved in 1986. The SSS operates as a department within the presidency and is under the control of the National Security Adviser.
Now, since 1999 the appointment into the office ofthe DGof the Secret Service in Nigeria has been like this, Obj came and appointed a Yoruba man Lateek Kayode Are to head the service. Immediately obj left, Yar Adua fired Kayide Are and appointed a northerner from Borno state Gadzama Afakriya to head the DSS. After the death of Yar Adua, GEJ came in and on the 7th of Sept 2010, he appointed a southerner from Cross River State by name Ita Esien Ekpeyong as the DG of of the DSS. So why is PMB case so different now? Even the mentioned elder statemen who are condemning the appointment of Yesuf Bichi has no moral right to do so going by history. There is clearly too much enimity against the government and they is no way we can succeed as a nation without giving the required love and support to our leaders.

The delibrate enthronement of feelings of sentiment and division by the media and opposition politicians remain the greatest challenge of our national unity and progress in Nigeria. What we need to clear here is whether or not the appointment of Bichi inplace of Seiyefa is within the law and does not breach any due process. Security issues are clearly sensitive and I believed without sentiment that PMB has his good reasons for the appointment. Except there is something fishy, I don't see any reason why the officers in the security service should show such displeasure to the extent of revealing it to the press. Is it that the complaining officers have some personal special packages to benefit if Seiyefa should remain at the helm of affair of the DSS? Such expressions from some members of the Secret police is indeed the greatest betrayal to national security. With these feelings, I believed it was indeed proper for the president to have appointed a more trusted person. Those officers who felt they are not comfortable are free to quit the service to create room for more patriotic Nigerians.

I only feel sorry for this country when some APC members are trying to justify rigging an election by saying PDP did the same when they were in power. My question is, must APC continue with the rigging? I believe people voted for them cuz they wanted better government which free and fair election is one of them. I am not a member of any party just a concerned citizen who wants the best for his country. And again I am not saying PDP actually rigged the election only piss off with the way some people are trying to justy rigging.

if they have evidence of rigging, let them go to court and tender it, our electoral process has greatly improved whether you like it or not. It's not accusation of vote buying this time, they are now alleging intimidation of their supporters, PDP are bad and angry losers.

Pdp should let us hear word. This is the same Inec thats been conducting elections since 1999. And there has been a significant change in the credibility if elections conduct since 2016 that elections are now won by electorates rather than law courts.
So they should let the process run its course.
You can't choose to praise Inec when its outcome favours you and condemn them if it doesn't

i blame APC and PMB for event making the election free and fair.

Adeleke satisfied the provision. In Osunbor v Oshiomhole (2007) 18 NWLR (part 1065) 32, cancelled votes had been counted and added to PDP/Osunbor’s scores.

“The courts, up to the Supreme Court, held that when votes are cancelled, they are not reckoned with in determining the outcome of such an election. The courts thereafter deducted the invalidated votes and this gave victory to Oshiomhole in the hotly contested election.”
Clearly irrelevant argument, what need to be ascertain here is whether these invalid votes deducted as it were is more than the margin in which Oshomhole defeated Osunbor in that election.

The law is clear on this
To elect a Senate president = Simple majority of the members present ( provided a quorum was formed which is one third of the entire members)
To remove a Senate President = two-third majority of the members present ( provided a quorum was formed by one-third of the entire members)
This is clearly why the PDP has been laying siege at the national assembly especially the inexperienced ones in the house of rep. The APC led government is even too soft in handling this whole matter, I expected them to teach them the PDP a lesson of the life. In 2014 when the evil Tambuwal left the PDP, the then clueless GEJ used the police to barricade the NA to stop Tambuwal but now the dead PDP is talking about democracy and rule of law. They have forgotten so soon that what goes around comes around. The evil one has left the party for good and must vacate the seat of the SP. If it will cost us democracy let it be.
