ignant:Your are totally senseless, go and check the profile of those appointed by the past government and tell me how many of them are career officers in the DSS before their appointment. Mischevious your head. |
I continue to maintain that the media is one of the greatest threat to Nigeria democracy and good governance. The media is easily used by politicians to create feeling of hatred and negative perception about any government in power. Nigerian problem is not the president, our problem is within us. The level of ignorance among us in evidently notable coupled with wrong impression forced on us by the media which has continually tear us apart as a people. The type of journalism in Nigeria is indeed laughable and is far beyond acceptable global standard. The effect of bad journalism to Nigeria democracy is even worst than vote buying and rigging during election. Why will someone want to paint the president black because of a lawful appointment he made? In the first instance what is the DSS meant for? The State Security Service (SSS), self-styled as the Department of State Services (DSS), is the primary domestic intelligence agency of Nigeria. It is primarily responsible for intelligence gathering within the country and for the protection of senior government officials, particularly the President and state governors. It is one of three successor organisations to the National Security Organization (NSO), dissolved in 1986. The SSS operates as a department within the presidency and is under the control of the National Security Adviser. Now, since 1999 the appointment into the office ofthe DGof the Secret Service in Nigeria has been like this, Obj came and appointed a Yoruba man Lateek Kayode Are to head the service. Immediately obj left, Yar Adua fired Kayide Are and appointed a northerner from Borno state Gadzama Afakriya to head the DSS. After the death of Yar Adua, GEJ came in and on the 7th of Sept 2010, he appointed a southerner from Cross River State by name Ita Esien Ekpeyong as the DG of of the DSS. So why is PMB case so different now? Even the mentioned elder statemen who are condemning the appointment of Yesuf Bichi has no moral right to do so going by history. There is clearly too much enimity against the government and they is no way we can succeed as a nation without giving the required love and support to our leaders. |
The delibrate enthronement of feelings of sentiment and division by the media and opposition politicians remain the greatest challenge of our national unity and progress in Nigeria. What we need to clear here is whether or not the appointment of Bichi inplace of Seiyefa is within the law and does not breach any due process. Security issues are clearly sensitive and I believed without sentiment that PMB has his good reasons for the appointment. Except there is something fishy, I don't see any reason why the officers in the security service should show such displeasure to the extent of revealing it to the press. Is it that the complaining officers have some personal special packages to benefit if Seiyefa should remain at the helm of affair of the DSS? Such expressions from some members of the Secret police is indeed the greatest betrayal to national security. With these feelings, I believed it was indeed proper for the president to have appointed a more trusted person. Those officers who felt they are not comfortable are free to quit the service to create room for more patriotic Nigerians. |
Muhammn:Any of our member who don't like our amiable chairman or is tired of our great party the APC is very very free to decamp. We can do better without all of you. APC !!! PMB till 2023. |
Bambambiglo:Hmmmmm, sinking ship that is winning all elections. Bad belle spotted. |
greatdreamer:i can see your downfall already, what a frustrated human. |
abbeyty:if they have evidence of rigging, let them go to court and tender it, our electoral process has greatly improved whether you like it or not. It's not accusation of vote buying this time, they are now alleging intimidation of their supporters, PDP are bad and angry losers. |
fallout87:Hmmmmm, see paining. E pain you die, sorry sha this is what you get when you suddenly develop unwarranted hatred for the right people. |
crossfm:Common sense is not common yet some fools will come out here to spew nonsense and abusing their fathers. If you actually read through the post, it could have saved you hidding your stupidity. The post talked about Charm and BANNED SUBSTANCES. |
Metuh:PDP are agent of lies and misinformation, no reasonable Nigerian will ever take you serious. |
Badooguy:You will suffer more. |
Akiika:Dont mind them, they and the PDP supporters here are big fools. |
Ezepresido:see cry, wetin concern you with Osun state? Children of hate. |
Yambee:Stupid and fake report, what shows the report is true. PDP and their agents of false information should know that elections are not won by lies and misinformation. If e pain you too much, just go kill yourself and find rest. |
NobodyKnows:You got it, am solidly behind you. |
Minjim:i blame APC and PMB for event making the election free and fair. |
Ray97:Dont mind the useless PDP supporter here. Many of them didn't read through the post. If Nigerians can be so stupid like what is being displayed here I wonder when this country will be right with so many ignorant youths. If you like spew all your rubbish her Osun will be for APC come Sept. 27th, may God punish all PDP supporters. |
uniqueboi: |
naijapips04:It will very stupid for APC not to do anything possible to win this election, it is so clear that no matter how they will want this election to be free and fair, Many useless Nigerians will still accuse them of manipulating the system. |
FarahAideed:Insha Allah, Buhari remains in Aso Rock till 2023. Hater go and die. |
justtoodark:Dont mind all these fools, the loan will be on building infrastructure not physical cash and moreover the time frame was not given. |
Maket:The law is clear on this To elect a Senate president = Simple majority of the members present ( provided a quorum was formed which is one third of the entire members) To remove a Senate President = two-third majority of the members present ( provided a quorum was formed by one-third of the entire members) This is clearly why the PDP has been laying siege at the national assembly especially the inexperienced ones in the house of rep. The APC led government is even too soft in handling this whole matter, I expected them to teach them the PDP a lesson of the life. In 2014 when the evil Tambuwal left the PDP, the then clueless GEJ used the police to barricade the NA to stop Tambuwal but now the dead PDP is talking about democracy and rule of law. They have forgotten so soon that what goes around comes around. The evil one has left the party for good and must vacate the seat of the SP. If it will cost us democracy let it be. |
zicoraads:Ignorance every where, two third majority of the members present provided a quorum was formed not two third majority of all the entire members of the Senate. E go surprise all of Una. |
vorigan:Old things have past away , behold everything is now new under PMB. Try nonsense this time make you sense something. But what evidence do you have against this people you mentioned? Nor go let bad belle finish you o. |
vorigan:na only this picture you get? What is the proof that it was taken from any of the weekend by-election or how are we not sure he is a member of the PDP. God go surely punish all enemies of the APC. |
tempest01:ignorance the major problem of Nigerians especially the youths. The process of removing the president is different from that of removing the Senate President. Go read the constitution very well and stop making a fool of yourself. |
comos:I wonder why Buhari is so soft even the clueless Hat man then was still applying some Force. |
Bimpe29:what is wrong if the DSS block the entrance of the NA. The stupid musician has not taken time to find out what actually took place. In the first place, the DSS did not stop the NA members for gaining entrance of the NA. Report has it before now that some members of the National Assembly especially the members of the house have been laying siege at the NA based on impeachment remour of the speaker and Senate President. Everything has procedure as enshrined in the constitution. These politicians has police and DSS attached to them for security, so while crying wolf because you saw security men at the NA gate. On channel's this morning it was so quick for Linda Akhigbe to report on Sunrise Daily that the DSS blocked the entrance of the NA and preventing lawmakers and Journalist for gaining access while allowing only APC Senator through another back door. It was subsequently as the program was still on another report came in that the NA members are freely going into the chamber. The truth remains that the NA has fixed the sitting for today at 9am and the DSS was on ground on the invitation of the Clerk. The pictures and videos did not show the security men molesting anybody. We only saw two persons whom I believed are members of the house of Representatives and from the opposition party ranting . We should condemn the act of some lawmakers unnecessarily besieging the assembly complex when there is no sitting or before the stipulated time for sitting and creating uncalled tension and misinformation. Some members of the NA has developed the attitude of sneaking into the NA chamber even at night as well as scaling through the fence to execute some evil plans. It is time such behaviors need to be condemned. |
There is nothing wrong if the Senate has to impeach it's president. This is not the first time a Senate president will be impeached if at all there is any such move. The PDP has resolved to cheap blackmail for the consumption of ignorant and gullible Nigerians. The media is not helping matter to. There are clearly conditions for removing the Senate President and if such constitutional conditions are met so be it. The false alarm of the PDP is getting to nonsense. Initially it was that armed DSS stopped them from gaining entrance into the NA, then they later grant them access and so on. The politics of today be it in APC or PDP will never lead this country to anywhere good. It is only a fool that will sympathise with all these good for nothing politicians. They already know what Nigerians love and they are giving it to us. |
Firefire:Go and read the act establishing the NNPC, ignorance is our greatest problem in Nigeria. Do your research, since 1999 how much has NNPC remitted to the federation account? Again those years that subsidy forms a part of the National Budget, was NNPC not in existence? Why is it that the NNPC was not managing the subsidy payment internally with appropriation from the federal budget? |
rozayx5:You remind me of Late Azazi, the then NSA who made it clear that PDP is Boko Haram and Boko Haram is PDP. If you look at it closely the only thing this stupid PDP miscrants talk about is on the Fulani killings, this goes a long way to even conclude that PDP is behind these killings in the name of Fulani herdsmen just to gain political point. Am still wondering if the impunity as they claim by this present government in not obeying court order is only limited to the cases of Al zazaki, sambo Dasuki and the little Nnadi kanu, these trio are clearly threats to the existence of the country as a whole so the government action is evidently justifiable. I can see now that the PDP is the real enemy of Nigeria, we have not even listen to their plea not to talk of forgiving them for the disaster mated on this country for good 16 years and they here shamefully lamenting. FFK that your mouth go soon rotten. |
