PoliticsRe: Amaechi A Lesson For Us All by smithsammy(m): 4:41pm On Nov 11, 2015
akpur1:
Betrayal

Being betrayed by a friend or a family member is one of the worst feelings ever. Sometimes the emotional pain is worser than the physical pain. The question is, how do we handle betrayal? The first thing our flesh wants to do is get revenge. If not physically, then in our minds.

Matthew 6:14-15 ESV /
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

baba jona please forgive amaechi he has already been punished.

Isaiah 1:2 ESV /
Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the Lord has spoken: “Children have I reared and brought up, but they have rebelled against me.

amaechi rebelled against jona this is what he received as his price

1 John 3:15 ESV /
Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

Proverbs 19:5
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and [he that] speaketh lies shall not escape.

Psalms 1:1-6
Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Matthew 7:12
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

PoliticsRe: A Ballanced Opinion About Biafra Secession Out Of Nigeria. by smithsammy(m): 4:24pm On Nov 11, 2015
Swiftboy:
I am for one Nigeria, however we should restructure the country for real. Let City, state or region have autonomy...just like the United States Of America. The government at the central to help out the extremely poor states. Its that simple. Here read a comment from one of my friends please open your minds to read...
There are two sides to a coin and knowing me, I like to look at everybody's point of view.
The problem with us Nigerians including me and you is that we fail to acknowledge the truth, hence we make do with half truths and lies. It's so bad that we even lie to ourselves. Several times in the past, the Ibos have been tagged arrogant, boastful and domineering especially when they claim to own 50 to 60 percent of businesses and properties all over Nigeria including major cities like Lagos, Abuja, Kano etc. Owners of those states ardently deny those statements. So it is surprising that the same people are now claiming that the Ibos own 60 to 70 percent of businesses and properties in their states and as such cannot abandon those ventures to go and create a new country. Which one should we believe?
I keep saying that the only thing that will keep Nigeria as one is the restructuring of Nigeria in line with Fiscal Federalism and Regional autonomy. Anything short of this, Nigeria will eventually go, maybe in 2 years time, maybe in 20. Nigeria runs the worst structure of government in the world. Even Obama will flounder as long as he rules under this structure.
It is unfortunate that we don't want to support restructuring because it will require sacrifices from all of us. Anything achievable must come with a price. If Biafra must come with a price, One Nigeria must also come with a price. While the Biafran agitators seem to be more ready to pay the price of their beliefs and struggle by laying down their lives in protests, the proponents of One Nigeria don't want to sacrifice anything to keep Nigeria one.
The solution to our problem is quite simple. Let's support the restructuring of Nigeria in line with Fiscal Federalism and see if you will hear ''Bia'' let alone ''fra''. Let's treat everyone fairly and equally. Without this, no amount of shouting or threats or insults will ever convince the members of this country to become one.
I tell people that our problems are very easy to solve. Do you want to stop bribery when processing your International passport/custom duties/driver's license etc? Make the payment system completely online just like when applying for foreign visas. Do you want true electoral reforms that will weed out underage voting/missing pvc/multiple voting/rigging etc? Then create an INEC database and do real biometric voting. Corruption and impunity? Create real separation of power.
We all know what to do. We choose not to do it. We insult and cast aspersions on everyone who doesn't agree with our point of view while failing miserably to see the views of others. George Elliot said, "It is a narrow mind which cannot look at a subject from various points of view."
Make we dey here dey argue whether Biafra go come or not. Or whether One Nigeria is feasible or not. But one thing is for sure. Either the system changes or it breaks apart.
I thought regional autonomy was an agendum in the many agenda of the national conference.

Thank you Mr Melodies,@Noboddy,@GideonG,@Eleniyan and everyone,I was able to make the payment yesterday, initially,it wasn't going,I had looked perplexed, but after about eight trial it wrote "congratulations for successful acceptance payment" I was very overjoyed and relieved.
Meanwhile I am and was highly astound to realised that the site was closed for acceptance payment by midnight just by the beginning of a new day(In red typings!).
What would I have been saying? How would I have felt?Even now, am just recovering from emotional sickness.I couldn't sleep yerternight,I just couldn't believe it.
I am very much grateful to you all and GOD bless you all.Amen by CHRIST.
God said: "I will make a way where there is no way." I thank God on your behalf. If Melody had used the money for something else, he would not have felt fufilled as he is feeling right now. That tells us that helping people in need is the greatest ministry that could ever be.

POPULATION vs. RESOURCES: A Phenomenon Needing Hasty Attention in Nigeria

It is not uncommon today to hear people saying Nigeria is the largest market in Africa and country with highest human resources on same. Currently, her population stands at 170million, and this has, invariably, piqued the interest of many international companies in Nigeria. However, while our population has brought us good fortunes, it has also brought us woes and impediments of various kinds.

Lest I go further, let me state clearly here that “Nigeria population has gone out of proportion – resources now under weighs population – a phenomenon common with developing countries. Truth be told, no one eats his cake and still have it. We cannot yearn for development and ignore the abnormal up surging of our population. It is so disheartening to realize that our people have mistaken high population for high productivity when only few of Nigerians are productive in reality – just few of us.

Do we still marvel why a 30million populated Canada is ahead of us in all spheres? Norway has been maintaining her current population for years. All plaudits to the foresight of Malthus [one of the world repute Economist] who foresaw the danger that lies ahead if urgent steps are not taken to stall the exponential growth rate of the United Kingdom’s population when her resources was only growing at an Arithmetic rate . Steps were taken and the excellent results are there for us to see today. England’s population is now well controlled, resources are well harnesses and the citizens are living fine.

Dishearteningly and unfortunately, Nigeria’s population is still growing at exponential rate while the resources have only remained stagnant, if not even reducing. The bitter truth is: Nigeria must place ceiling on her population growth for her to experience any reasonable progress. Policies that would help reduce birth rate and that will place limitation to number of children a family can have should be promulgated. Two, or at most three, children should be okay for a family. More so, our people should be educated on the danger of over population; and concerted effort should be made to harness our resources so that the current variance can be corrected. Thank you.
