Able mamas I dey hail o. I went for immunisation today (14wks) so I met my cousin there. Her baby came for 6th month VitA. So we sha jammed there. When I Brought out Lamide's hot okababa (pap), she started screaming how i should do EBF and it's obvious that if I went for antenatal I wont go close to feeding bottles or formula or pap at all. I told her I didn't have interest in EBF and I don't have d energy, it's not something I was ever interested in (I absolutely hail mamas that do it o but me no get d power).

Now d gbege now happened when her dauta was weighed (7.7kg) and Lamide weighed (7.4kg) Na him darling cousin para again that how would my dauta be weighing what she should be weighing at 6months at 3months. She now annoyed me patapata by saying "I should watch d ARTIFICIAL things I feed my dauta".

I asked the nurse if my kid is overweight she said no.I don't feed my dauta nything apart from breast milk and pap + Nan1 and water.

Pls mamas what is in this EBF that is causing wahala everytime. What is supernatural inside. What of children that their mothers die, biko do they do EBF too. Infact because of d hype d more I am not interested. Pikin wey go smart go smart, d one wey go dull go dull. It's just prayer we need for this children.

Probably I don't understand some underlying gains of EBF, plsssssssssssssssssssssssss maybe someone should enlighten me and if God says I'll have more kids, I might see d need to do EBF.

health practitioners said it's better to do ebf, baby will be healthier, no contamination, less purging etc etc. but I know that well nd hygienically fed babies ll be just as healthy.

but I'm team ebf for now. It's the stress involved with formula feeding I don't want...However I know that these two are d should I say lucky ones? The others ll come at a time I ll be too busy to do exclusive.

your baby is obviously doing well and that's all that matters.

Gudmorning mama's, am 23 weeks gone(6months) but my tummy is not too big, at antenatal this week a frnd told me that my tummy is not big, I just laughed over it. But yesterday in class, one talkative in my department came to where I was sitting and made this comment. 'Ada, somebody said your Belle dey dry". people around justlaughed over it, and saw it as one of her jokes, but In my mind I was like God forbid, and at that moment my baby just kicked. my girlfriend now told her must you say every thing. I decided that I was going to confront her later and warn her, but I didn't, but I still plan on confronting her on Monday at school.

Should I confront her or not, what do you think? My girlfriend that is also a mother said I should let it be. But I have been thinking abt it since ysterday. I had a very flat tummy before pregnancy.

I don't know why u all are concerned about how big the tummy is. If the baby isn't underweight, if u nd ur lo are doing well, then ders nothing to worry about.

A week to delivery of lo2 . Some where beginning to get used to d fact that I was preggy. I was worried lyk u and starting eating carbs.. I added, my tummy.....not much. now I'm still trying to loose the extra kgs.

Ok, I want to rant!!!! Maybe I will feel beta after narrating my story here.............

See me and one matured lady in the office today o (she's in her 40's and not married). She walks up to me and says " Ah, you are getting fat o" and I responded 'Really". She goes again to ask, come tell me o, are you pregnant cos I know you have a small baby". I went on to say "Yes na, am I living with my brother..lol" Mind you, my baby is 11 months. she then said hmmmmm, it's not good for your job o, do this thing with wisdom...like wat d f..k is dat! that it's not nice to go on maternity leave 2 consecutive years.....shebi all my bosses had there own phases like this and today, their children are grown. so because of work, i should not have my babies again! That my bosses might not tell me, but the work will suffer! Really!!! Dis particular lady hardly goes on leave or anytin yet she has been on the same level for 10 years and I've met her there!

The other day again, i went for a gathering and anoda matured unmarried lady in her late 40's said to me that I should carry a mat around so that my son would stop playing on the floor! everybody there just burst into laughter...mat ke!, for a mobile baby..........

I'm tired of all dese crap from older folks, God should just bless them so that they can channel their energy elsewhere........

They both meant well. The first politely advice which ofcz u don't have to follow and the second knows little about babies hence the statement.

In other news today's scan said my baby is 33weeks instead of 36 weeks I can't believe this I've cried my eyes out reasons been dat I've been seriously counting down cos d pressure on vjay is getting out of hands.as if that's not enough EDD changed to 2nd February instead of 17th January.not only dat....baby is weighing just 2.2kg despite all d midnight chop chop.

The main dr rushed in while i was pushing so he stitched me up coz i had very little tear. They were trying to crack jokes but i was sort of in shock. labour was too intense nd ended too quickly. Active labour should be around 30 minutes or less.. I was given something to relax my muscles and help me sleep coz d dr said precipitate labour can sometimes leave d women in shock....but i didn't sleep o, was transferred to my room, had my bath, dressed up, was breastfeeding baby wen my sister sauntered in, we were Gisting away when dh rushed in saying he biked it from island to mainland.

Ehn i forgot to add dat before active labor started, my aunt sent me two bible verses to pray with not knowing i was already in labor o...d verses were saying something about fast nd supernatural delivery. I prayed it solemnly nd God answered just like that. I am very grateful to HIM. All through i didn't even remember i was asthmatic. God took care of everything.

she is seven weeks now, her name is Chimbusonma .

birthstory !!!! this is not a nutshell o.....apologies in advance .

The day before ......after my Sunday evening meal, i visited my neighbor and while gisiting, i complained that the hair i made for babys grand entrance was becoming old nd baby was taking time with her makeup, it was  12 days to my edd. Got home later, prayed and slept off and then it started. Menstrual like pains that came and went, not painful enough to wake me, i assumed it was a dream....i slept peacefully until d next morning when i woke up with the urge to visit d loo, ran there but couldn't poo. The pain was still coming and going so i called my aunt nd she told me to start going to hospital but i didn't believe it was labour so i was reluctant .....i mean, labour should be more painful  na. Dh wanted to skip work and take me to hospital but i told him that i can take me to the hospital so off he went to work and i got my daughter ready for sch, took her to sch, came back and started chatting with my friends. we all agreed that if it were true labour, i wouldn't need anyone to tell me and i was advised to sha call my dr, i did but his phone was switched off. I started timing nd noticed the pain was coming like every five minutes so i had to advise myself and took my lazy asz off d settee, got myself ready incase they had to do ve, took my bags to the car and drove to the hospital.. 

Got there, the nurses were like  “ madam na born u wan born?“  i said yes, i want to see dr now but they wouldn't let me, i had to wait for my turn. Finally saw him around 11, after theInitial banter, i told him what brought me and he said it was probably false labour but that he would check it out. He checked and exclaimed “ wow 5cm gone nd u are not in pain! “ He inserted  a tablet and told me to see d nurses. I did and they helped with my bags and went off to get my room ready. That was when i called dh and my sis  to start coming o that i was already 5cm gone....... I guess they didn't hear or didn't understand or perhaps  they felt they knew just how long it would take to get to 10cm lol...

The nurse took me to the Labour room and gave me warm castor oil to drink after which i was allowed to eat my yamarita. I was eating, browsing, pinging and making calls when the real tin started.omoh i dropped fone immediately. It was hooking me terribly, non stop and nobody was their to massage my waist. Trust me na, God gave me mouth  to scream and that i did while uttering senseless tins i cant  remember now...i was in this state when my dr friend passed by and i called him back to hold his hand. I was obviously in labor but he still decided to check by touching my belly button and then he said ‘ oh u r in labour?’ i just yimued him. Ah i called the nurse to plz come and check how far but she was like madam relax u just dey start na. I told her to plz check that even if its 5. Something cm, it ll give me hope. She wore her gloves and tried to check but i wouldn't let her, checking me suddenly sounded painful. She convinced me to let her break my water, i did andImmediately after breaking the water, she told me that we had to proceed to delivery room. My paddy dr was like is she fully dilated?  Rude nurse answered if not why r we going to delivery room?. Once i laid on that bed, i immediately started pushing o, d nurse didn't have time to change gloves. I pushed once and no baby nd i was like ha, why na?  i Was seeing only d head. Dd1 came out with one push...i just prayed God plz i don't want to stay long in dis room o...two pushes ltr baby came out weighing 3.3.at exactly 12noon, and the tablet dr inserted came out with her
