swiftycool: Ok maybe Nigeria doesn't supply finished power to little ghana anymore but I believe it is wise for you to find out how ur country's energy needs were provided from 1970s till d late 1990s and which country mostly supported it. Also while at it find out which country singlehandedly supplies all the gas ghana uses to run its hydro-power dam in order to provide ur electricity till date.

As per ur rantings of Naija to leave Ghana, I asure u the outcome would be devastating if we severe diplomatic ties, it would be like NEpA took light.

While carrying out these assignments I've given u, also try to get some honest people to tell u d truth about ur looks, Boy u R UGLY as 4UCK! Kai shocked

Ur high commission on Lagos Island played host to many gaynians yday, Naija de ver my brother, don't fuel it cos unlike many gaynians, most Naija have access in d internet and info therein, and know very well how to broadcast

The dishonesty is never ending. grin Trust me, if you had read as much you pretend to have read, we would never have had this drawn out discussion to begin with.

I've wasted enough time on you. Later charlie.
this was an interpretation session not reading I sent you back to think like an African in the 1700's... Thank me later tongue

BTW dumbass not everyone in Ghana is an Akan or Asante. Go read again. cheesy cheesy cheesy Yes, I am a troll in many topics but, some of what I post is serious like this debate. grin grin grin

PhysicsQED: ^^^^

The same dishonesty I was talking about. grin

I gave you the info and you just rejected it and couldn't be bothered to look it up and get confirmation because you were trying to block out the truth. At one point you even accused me of using a wikipedia article, derided the idea of that, and then went on to give me a link to a wikipedia article a few posts later. grin
I have read all those documents before thus did not need to read it again... wink
BusinessRe: Ghanaian Government Closes Nigerian Businesses In Accra. by SmoothCrim: 4:21am On Jul 07, 2012
PhysicsQED: Of course. grin I've learned not to drag out an argument with a dishonest person. grin

That's definitely an important lesson.
The way I debated you was to teach you to look into stuff... I could have simply given you all the info but chose the slow approach... In the end I think you understand west africa better
BusinessRe: Ghanaian Government Closes Nigerian Businesses In Accra. by SmoothCrim: 4:14am On Jul 07, 2012
PhysicsQED: No. Any historian then or now worth their salt would tell you that Oyo's location was a source of horses for cavalry and an area that was free of the tsetse fly that carried trypanosomiasis.

If there were additional problems caused by its location, they were not enough of a problem for Oyo until Oyo became embroiled in a civil war.

On Oyo and Asante, it's a waste of time repeating myself, so I'll just leave you to believe in whatever suits you.
Listen I know you have learned a lot.

Relax! grin
BusinessRe: Ghanaian Government Closes Nigerian Businesses In Accra. by SmoothCrim: 4:09am On Jul 07, 2012
PhysicsQED: Oyo's problem was a civil war. If you were an expert you would know that.

On Oyo and Asante, you fished out sources on that event, but somehow missed the ones that say exactly what I've been telling you the whole time. Asante was scared of Oyo and didn't do anything to Dahomey after getting put in check. That's simply what happened. All this other stuff is just dishonesty.

And yeah, the culture has great art. At least we agree on that.

Later.
On the civil war... True to some extent but, everything else is:
False False False grin grin grin grin Go ask any historian worth their salt(and not the modern frauds faking history) and they will say exactly what I have been saying.
BusinessRe: Ghanaian Government Closes Nigerian Businesses In Accra. by SmoothCrim: 4:04am On Jul 07, 2012
PhysicsQED: Thanks for the link and you should have done that in the first place.

As I said, I would accept it if you actually gave evidence.

And yeah, you should get back to the topic, because it seems there's no way to stop you from deluding yourself about Oyo and Asante.
Okay I am glad I thought you a few things!! No insults or offense to Oyo or those who identify with it! I think its weakness was due to its location! It explains why the region was almost completely Islamized and would have been if it was not for European influence. But, the culture has great art cool wink

BTW what you have been saying as I said 1000 times was out of context! grin grin grin I explained the context now you can see what I was talking about. If you can't I suspect you are an ethnocentrist who can't admit was is so blatant and true.
BusinessRe: Ghanaian Government Closes Nigerian Businesses In Accra. by SmoothCrim:
PhysicsQED: You've given me one man with a Fon first name and an Akan last name. What's his background (mother and father) anyway?

I'm not convinced that Fon people use Akan names just from one man.

Yoruba religious influence on the Fon, by contrast, is obvious and anyone can find out about that easily.
http://newafrikanvodun.com/names.html

Come on man stop embarrassing yourself... If you don't know the history of the region stop embarrassing yourself and read up. How are you ever going to understand other regions if you can't even get this tongue grin grin

BusinessRe: Ghanaian Government Closes Nigerian Businesses In Accra. by SmoothCrim: 3:56am On Jul 07, 2012
PhysicsQED: Fine, so you can't give evidence. It has no bearing on the truth of what I've been saying anyway.
How much more evidence do you need grin grin grin grin grin

It's alright to accept defeat. Lets go back on the topic. Why is the Ghanaian gov. closing Nigerian businesses. It would seem they are doing it because, there is a law which states you need a certain amount to invest. 300,000 dollars. This is a law and not something new but, something that has been on the books for almost 20 years. Thus, it would seem rather than follow the laws of a country they are guests in the Nigerians are rather making noise. Why are the Chinese not doing the same thing?
BusinessRe: Ghanaian Government Closes Nigerian Businesses In Accra. by SmoothCrim: 3:50am On Jul 07, 2012
PhysicsQED: The wiki article you gave as evidence claims that the Akan started the tradition of naming a baby on the day of the week that it was born in West Africa. It does not say that Fon people use Akan names.

I am not Yoruba by the way, so my arguments here are just as "neutral" as yours. I was only asking for a little bit of evidence for the claim. That's all. If you can't provide it, just say so and I'll drop the issue.
Those names listed are Akan names and they are used by Fon people..

Look at the name of the Ref in this match from Benin.

Clearly An Akan name

As I have said those groups show more direct Akan influence than Oyo but, they are distinct ethnic groups and Yoruba or Akan. wink
