People will come to respect and appreciate movie like MoS so much by the time Gunn Superman is out, especially one ekuke Many have still not realise making a decent Superman movie in this current era where people literally think through everything you put out is the most herculean task because of how OP the character is. He's a fictional character whose abilities/powers rival any god you can ever think of and such need to reflect on any of its live action movie ..
I know Many might not think this way, probably because it has not been stated literally, but Superman is a "low key" gag character and character of such is extremely difficult to tell a believable story about on live action without facing heavy criticism. I still believe to put up a good Superman movie is the most difficult job in Hollywood and James Gunn will prove me right... There won't be room there for those GotG escapism...

The John Stewart casting looks right, but I'm not convinced on the other casts and the project... Anything Green Lanterns need to be cgi and practical effect heavy and I don't think series can pull that to satisfaction from WB....

I won't be surprised to see a pot-belly ( his Guy Gardner easily comes to mind) actor cast as Batman under Gunn one day, likewise seeing a 70yr old grandpa as the new Green Arrow
Aside their good acting skills, these characters also need to look believable just like their comics counterpart.. Their physical built are also very important too.. I can still recall in All-Star Superman animated movie when one of the reporters in Daily Planet was asking Lois Lane of "how come Clark Kent looked so physically imposing (very muscular in structure), but he's never been seen hitting the gym" not really verbatim. It may sound just like another ordinary line to many, but to few, that line tells more of what really make up these comics book characters...
Batfleck still stands out as the most accurate Batman till date not just because of his acting abilities alone, but also too for his physical looks that can easily send shivering down those Gotham criminals and rogues spins, and also made him look believable to the viewers...
