In a bizarre twist, the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, On Tuesday announced that he never knew the railways as a means of transport efficiently existed in Nigeria. The minister who stated this when he and other officials of the ministry toured the facilities of the Nigerian Railways Corporation (NRC) in Lagos, added that the government would concentrate on building standard gauge railway lines that would befit Nigeria status as a developing economy as well as compliment it. Amaechi said: “In fact, I think we have a problem; most people don’t believe that the railway transport is functioning in Nigeria. I didn’t even know, until I started this tour, I never knew that the railway was functioning, it was even from his (MD’s) speech that I learnt that there are some coaches or services that go to Kano or Port Harcourt or elsewhere.” According to him, “The federal government will concentrate on standard gauge of the railways, because it is critical that Nigeria becomes one of the countries founded on standard gauge. The only time I had seen railways (trains) or the coaches was one or two days in Lagos, and I thought it started from the beginning of Lagos to the end of Lagos. “So we need to make people become more aware that the narrow gauge is working, and that people can still use it to travel around that country. There was a joke somebody told me that it takes three days to reach Kano from Lagos on the narrow gauge, and when I asked the managing director of NRC, he said no, it takes one and half days; I said: ‘what’s the difference between three days and one and a half days?’ So that is why the government has to reemphasise on the need for the construction of the standard gauge to help boost the economy.” In his speech, the Managing Director of the NRC, Adeseyi Sijuwade, expressed appreciation on the commitment and desire of the minister to effect positive change in the railway subsector, adding that the subsector had for years been in comatose but now back on track, and that with the minister’s desire to see it taken to another level, the railway transport is on it way to attaining greater heights. In another development, Amaechi yesterday expressed ignorance of the multi-billion naira pipeline protection and waterways security contract awarded to ex-Niger Delta militant, Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo. Tompolo was one of the Niger Delta militants who accepted the Nigerian government’s amnesty in 2010. Amaechi who made the denial while appearing before the Senate Committee on Marine Transport chaired by Senator Ahmed Rufai Sani, said he only heard about the contract through the newspapers, adding that he was yet to be properly briefed by officials of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) on the matter since his appointment as transport minister. Amaechi added that he only knew about Global West Vessel Specialist Agency Limited, said to be owned by Tompolo when he visited the office of NIMASA recently. “It was in the public that I knew that Tompolo had a contract. Even up till now, I have never been briefed about the contract. How did I know the company? I got to NIMASA and I saw a building that was looking very ugly. And I said for Christ’s sake, who are the people staying in this dirty place? And they said staff of Global West Company and they are Tompolo’s staff. “Nobody ever mentioned that contract to me. That’s why I said give me information about all the contracts that you have awarded in NIMASA so that I know and the stage of payment.” Global West had secured $103 million contract during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration alongside other similar multi-billion naira contracts. The contract and others given to Global West and other companies linked to the ex-militant have been a subject of controversy since they were made public. At the meeting, Amaechi who said he had to cut short his visit to agencies and parastatals in the maritime sector in Lagos to honour the committee’s invitation, said he was still studying the railway and aviation sectors and called for more time to furnish the committee with necessary information. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/amaechi-i-never-knew-railway-transport-existed-in-nigeria/228147/#.VnFKi1aggZs.facebook |

obailala:OBJ did not secure debt relief through foreign trips. That is a blatant lie The Paris club and other International debtors came up with the initiative to grant debt relief to several poor countries with the caveat that they pay a substantial part of it immediately. Of course all the countries took the option. It wasnt only Nigeria and it wasnt because fo OBJ's trips. Always check your facts |
obailala:Hahaha. I dont do party like you cashtivists. PDP is a dead party. Actually, Nigeria has only one party. It is the party of the chop-make-I-chop. That is why all the so called PDP thieves have migrated to APC. In fact, APC was formed by PDP thieves. Na only hungry youths like una dey run after party. I will hammer any government in power wey mess up! I no dem dey do you well. How far for the brown envelope from Lie Mohammed? I see say the thing dey do him work. Continu! |
ionsman:Hahahaha. You mean 10 APC pay-per-post cashtivists are trying to to correct me? If you see as I dey laugh so hard here, you no go believe! |
obailala:Haha. It is so interesting how you and your friends have been comparing notes to try and put a spin to this. At least, I have to give you guys credit for working hard for your pay. You have even searched the whole of Google to try and figure it out. Una try At the end, you still fail exam. If only 15, 000 were accredited, INEC will already know that and then they wouldnt even paste the overall registered in the final result released. Nice try. And even with all the various spins you have tried to put on it, your figures still dont tally and will never tally. That means, even if we take one of your pathetic excuses for the hoax, INEC will still have announced a result where the figures were wrong. Its that simple |
irondome:Maybe you think you are talking to one of those your regular guys on here who dont know what they are saying. I sorry for you. You better go back and improve your skills. Hahaha |
dustmalik:Nope, cancelled votes mean cancelled votes. If an election did not take place, then there is no vote to cancel. This is a sad commentary on Nigeria really. Any INEC official that says votes were cancelled in a place where election never took place is an olodo. If election never took place, then you can say the election itself was cancelled, not that the votes were cancelled. This is really sad |
irondome:Oh my word! Cant you see that even if you take that out, the number of votes cast still doesnt tally with the accredited by a big margin? The key is number of accreditted my friend. Get it? Number of accreditted! You guys are just going around in circles. It seems you are finally tired of your pathetic defense that cancelled votes is the same as rejected. |
DropShot:First of all, you obviously didnt even look at the Channels picture because both are clearly differentiated there. Secondly, saying the figure is almost the same is very funny. Why should it be "almost" the same in an election? Haha Didnt you see how Jega had to tell returning officers to go back and reconcile their figures before coming to make an announcement? How can you make a valid election result declaration on figures that are "almost" the same? Na wa |
dustmalik:No son! Cancelled votes and rejected votes are not the same thing. Rejected votes are votes that dont meet the voting criteria e.g. votes that were cast across the line or votes that are too faint to recognise. Cancelled votes are votes cancelled because of election irregularities. Even the Channels picture shows that clearly |
obailala:Is this your best attempt to escape your blunder? If you apologise, I will forgive you. Total VALID votes = 459, 983 Total vote Rejected = 21, 351 Total votes CANCELLED = 49, 953 Total votes cast (VALID+REJECTED+CANCELLED) = 531, 287 Total ACCREDITTED voters = 510, 208 It really is that simple. Even if we subtract the cancelled from total accredited or from total cast, the figures will still not tally |
dustmalik:There is nothing like cancelled votes from places election did not take place. You cannot cancel a vote that was never cast. Cancelled votes mean the votes were cast then cancelled. Please stop this foolery! Its really pathetic! |
irondome:The big problem in Nigeria today are illiterate and ignorant youths sadly. Just imagine what you guys are posting and even defending. And the sad part is that you actually think you are making sense. I initially thought it was a mistake. I didnt realise you actually believe that that dumb post your friend put up there makes sense. Please read your posts again before you finally make a massive fool of yourselves here. Its probably not too late |
irondome:Stopping making a fool of yourself in public. You cannot cancel possible votes. Why are you this dumb? Canceled votes means the votes were actually cast. In your bid to defend your partisan stance, you are really embarrasing yourself here. So sad |
Dannyset:A guy break what down? You mean the olodo post that guy put up there? Cant you see it was a rubbish post? The guy does not even understand how elections work nor does he understand simple arithmetic. Na wa |
obailala:The only thing that is clear in your post is that you are an olodo First, cancelled votes is not the same thing as cancelled election my friend. Dont be an olodo or maybe you are just trying to be mischievious but you are obviously not clever enough. Votes from cancelled elections are never added to result counting Secondly, even with your sorry logic, you still will not arrive at a total acrredited voters of 510, 208. Cant you see that easily? Haba |
Dannyset:But they have put up the fake figures, havent they? Why are you trying to defend the indefensible? This is really sad |
adeymoj:Hahahahahahaha. Is it really this bad? How do you cancel the votes of people that didnt vote? This is getting really hilarious. Some of you are worse than I actually thought. The illiteracy of our youths is alarming For the record: You cannot cancel a vote that was never cast. You cant even cancel an election that never held. You can reshedule an election that never held. The ignorance and English from some youths na wa |
boujaye:funny question. If you cant see who the rigger is, you should ask your teacher for a refund. An electoral body rigs and cooks up figures and a party emerges on top and you are asking who the rigger is? Is Nigerian education that bad? |
The first election by the New INEC and this is what we get Total number of votes cast is more than total number of voters accreditted Government Magic, Government Magic!!!

Jega on Rivers Polls: The allegations on irregularities were spurious and baseless Video : Former INEC National Chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega speaking at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, United States explains that Rivers State Governorship Election was free and fair. He said INEC received Rivers State APC petition which was investigated, but found to be baseless and false. https://www.facebook.com/378378918890631/videos/940233656038485/ |
jomoh:Buhari is an installation of America. His emergence is strategic GEJ was the fall guy for the whole plan. Thats why DBanj released the SCAPEGOAT track after the GEJ interview and immediately, DBanj was introduced to JZ and Kanye. Its all tied together. People like Tinubu are the pawns. He now realises it and that is why he has calmed down. |
jomoh:Yep, he is there smiling. Most of our youths are too ignorant. They only watch football and listen to crap music and then come online to support politicians. Meanwhile, GEJ has moved up to the world stage and installed Buhari back here to mess up our lives |
Koleman:Ignore him. You dont have to answer everyone. He probabaly has comprehension issues |
The Economist released in January a cryptic cover entitled “The World in 2015” which featured several enigmatic images. Did it predict both terrorist attacks in Paris in 2015? In the wake of the horrifying Paris attacks which cost the lives of (at least) 120 innocent people, a specific cover of The Economist immediately came to mind. On January 8th 2015, I published an article entitled The Economist 2015 Cover is Filled With Cryptic Symbols and Dire Predictions, which analyzed its many messages. Indeed, the magazine cover dubbed “The World in 2015” contained several strange and sinister images which appeared to announce a violent year. Considering the fact the The Economist is partly owned by the Rothschild banking family of England and its editor-in-chief, John Micklethwait, attends Bilderberg Conferences, one should take heed of warnings issued by those who can make them a reality. Probably the most enigmatic part of the cover is the bottom right where we see two arrows with mysterious numbers, a pile of dirt and an old painting. A closeup of the bottom right of the cover. Looking back at what happened this year, this portion of the cover becomes rather troubling. It is a little too prophetic. First, the painting next to the arrows is Leonardo Da Vinci’s La Belle Ferronière. That painting is currently located in the Louvre, in Paris. Second, the numbers on the two arrows are 11.5 and 11.3. The Paris attacks occurred 11/13/15. The digits on the arrows can therefore be rearranged to make up the date. The attack was claimed by ISIS. The Economist cover features an ISIS member holding a rifle. Most Parisian casualties were caused by Kalachinkov rifles. The terrorist is surrounded with blood splatter. Most Parisian casualties were caused by Kalashnikov rifles. The terrorist is surrounded with what looks like blood splatter. The cover also features French President François Hollande … looking the other way. As I stated in my article ISIS : A CIA Creation to Justify War Abroad and Repression at Home, I have little doubt that ISIS is used as a tool to further the occult elite’s Agenda including : Invading Syria and justifying police state surveillance in the West. Let’s look back at the concrete effects of ISIS this year. Justified the invasion of Syria, finally destroying its status as a regional force; Accelerated the mass exodus of Syrians towards the West; Opened the floodgates of Syrian refugees around the Western world (boosted by the picture of a dead boy); Caused widespread panic in the Western world with Paris terror attack, justifying tighter monitoring and police state tactics. Media are already reporting that one of the Paris terrorists had a Syrian passport on him and that Hollande is considering the attacks as an act of war. In short, after guilting Western countries into accepting thousands of Syrian refugees, an Islamist attack causes fear, hatred and distrust towards Muslims in those very countries. Things are about to get complicated. But, why would “they” purposely create such a horrific situation which involve so many innocent people? Well, for one, their motto is Ordo Ab Chao … Order out of chaos. Source: http://vigilantcitizen.com/latestnews/were-the-paris-attacks-predicted-on-the-january-cover-of-the-economist/
