Its not courage its madness. The last time Gadaffi  gave a speech at the UN, he was ranting incoherently and bore most of the delegates. Many commentator agreed the guy is mentally unbalance.  If you have to split every country where there is religious or other conflicts, there wont be any country in the world

Gadaffi is a Muslim terrorist, who sees the world in terms of Islam. His last remark that a Jihad should be wage against Switzerland was widely condemned.

The guy is simply insane
I detest the guy as well. But even though you had disagreed with his position in the past this scenario is different. He is spelling the obvious.
Nigeria is not like other countries with ethnis/religious conflicts. We are unique. Evenly plit across the middle. Our differences have become inreconcilable. When that happens we need to tow the path of india/pakistan, greece/cyprus, the old yugoslavia, north/south korea.
Division is not automatic peace, but it will sure save countless and needless more politically motivated deaths.

Gaddafi should show us a good example by first splitting his useless terrorist country into two
He only said what [the last time i checked] 70% of nairalanders are clamouring for. So why crucify him.
I am impressed by his courage in making such pronouncement. Other foreign leaders have to a large extent being non-chalant or adopting the politically correct stand.
Terrorist country or not, eccentric character he may be, you have to applaud him for the positive transformations he has made in Libya.

Nigeria should be divided into two nations to avoid further bloodshed between Muslims and Christians, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has said.

In a speech to students, he praised the example of India and Pakistan, where he said partition saved many lives.

Splitting Nigeria "would stop the bloodshed and burning of places of worship," state news agency Jana quoted him as saying.

A senior Nigerian diplomat said he did not take the suggestion seriously.

Hundreds of people have died in communal violence in villages around the central Nigerian city of Jos this year.

'Historic, radical solution'

Although the violence generally takes place between Muslim and Christian communities, the underlying causes are a complex mix of political, social and economic grievances.

Nigeria is roughly split between its largely Muslim north, and a Christian-dominated south.

Mr Gaddafi, until recently head of the African Union, characterised the Jos violence as a "deep conflict of religious nature" caused by the federal state, "which was made and imposed by the British in spite of the people's resistance to it".

He described the partition of India as a "historic, radical solution" which saved the lives of "millions of Hindus and Muslims".

Splitting India in 1947 caused a breakdown of law and order in which at least 200,000 people died. Some estimates say one million people were killed.

About 12 million people were left homeless and thousands were despoiled.

An attempt by the Igbo people of south-eastern Nigeria to secede in 1967 sparked a war which left more than one million people dead.

so how do you people know she doesn't know who the father of her baby is? i've never read in any of her interviews, her discussing her personal life.
she is strictly business.
and having a baby does not make one a slut or the others who did not innocent/holier than thou? just because they didn't wind up pregnant or give birth to a baby?

you keep saying she has been linked with all these men, sleeping with this and that, IS THERE PROOF? or are you just saying such simply because you don't like her?

ALLLLLLLL the rumors in nollywood; of what percentage of those stories spat out by useless Nigerian journalists have been true?

bottom line, you don't know her to be making such assumptions, no one does.

On the night of Sat/Sun @ about 1215 a.m, I saw several hundreds of Hausa/Fulanis entering the Police College. They were apparently coming from Ikeja under-bridge. Hope it was 4 prayers not violence!
Questions:

1. Hundreds of fulanis in lagos doing what?
2. Were they armed?
3. Why were they entering the police college? For training?
4. If something sinister, are the police involved in anyway?

Hmmmm. I cant shout.

PoliticsDon't Probe Igbinedion, Edo Youths Urge Oshiomhole by snowdrops(op): 10:40am On Mar 15, 2010
Abuja — Edo Youth Vanguard (EYV) has asked the Edo State Governor, Adams Oshomhole, to drop his plan to probe former governor of the state, Lucky Igbinedion, and focus instead on development projects of the state to which, it said, a N15 billion loan has been committed.

A statement by EYV National Coordinator, Mathew Idemudia, in Abuja at the weekend, said the "governor's unwarranted pursuit of his perceived political opponents amounts to needless distraction.

"These distractions no doubt have their own consequences as the Governor has in the process committed to spending huge sums of state funds on unwarranted campaigns of calumny against notable elders and his recent unholy acts that have destabilized the state House of Assembly and the polity.

"We are also aware of the over N1 billion spent on wooing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members into the Action Congress (AC), a development that has contributed in causing disaffection and disharmony among the peace-loving indigenes and settlers alike in the state", Idemudia stated.

The statement argued that "the fight between Oshiomhole and some elders in the state, albeit unnecessary, and now shifting the fight to the corridors of former Governor Igbinedion, shows that the Comrade Governor had no developmental agenda before becoming governor which is unfortunate.

"The advice from well meaning Edo political leaders to Governor Oshiomhole had been shunned and instead he surrounds himself with sycophants and we believe that the dictatorial tendencies carried from the Nigeria Labour Congress, where he served as its president for two terms, to the state matters are all there for everyone to see."
