if Stella obasanjo hospital is the same as central hospital, then it no new practise. you have to remember health is an expensive business. drugs, equipments cost a lot. same applies to salaries that is always going up.

the meal fees i believe is only part of the hospitals internally generated revenue. i do not accept the hospital would feed their patients unclean or poisonous food. remember a good number of the nurses etc would eat from the same food. maybe poster is an aristocrat or may have personal views/rules about meals served in a hospital hence his disposition to the food served

if he is displeased with the ongoing practice, it would be better if he channeled his grievances to the hospital authorities and/or the office of the commissioner of health in edo state.

N500 a day looks on the high side to be fair. i don't think it was this expensive in the past. wont be surprised if the hike happened after oshiomole came into office.

the problem is not the royal family. they have been in existence even before Nigeria came to be.

The blame for this sorry series of incident lies squarely on the feet of Oshiomole. Osakpamwan is his aide; his thug. He placed him as head of a revenue collection committee. He turned a blind eye over the years as this rat and his like terrorized the city.

Had it not been a royal that was the victim this time around no one would have heard of it.

The son of the oba of Benin has no business being local govt chairman whether in an interim capacity or not.

While the action of the Chiefs and the wider support of the Benin pple may have some short term value, in the long term it has done serious damage to the person of the prince and the monarchy.

The facts at hand here is that someone was assaulted as testified by several witnesses. That is grievous bodily harm and a criminal offence.
Secondly the victim is a member of the bini royal family, a prince. I am no lawyer but there surely should be a section of the constitution that creates a separate offence for assaulting a royal.
Thirdly the traditional institution is dealing with what it termed an "abomination" the way it knows best, so why are you testicles catching fire?
