Wow, never heard bout that Agbarho/Itsekiri story oooo, I'm from Uvwiamughe in Agbarho ,my dad's father, don't know much of it's history tho.

And you are right about the Itsekiri's in Ugbolokposo having family ties with the Uvwie's in Ero ovie and Alaka quarters, I grew up in Alaka, maternal grandfather is from Ero ovie quarters. In actual sense we're all related sha, but don't like how they forcefully claimed all of that area in Ugbolokposo town.. They even had to extend it to the high tension /power line area, I'm sure they would have also tried to claim Okoribi to Alegbo too, lol. And they have a cemetery just before the power line where they bury any Itsekiri from anywhere, there's always a burial almost every other weekend. Lol

Surprised to see this too.Ugbolokposo is not Itsekiri town historically.It is an Uvwie community.
From History,that place is farmland of the Uvwies that was given to an Itsekiri man who married an Uvwie lady.
The Itsekiris later end up claiming that land as their enclave.
But the Uvwies hands are tied because the Ugbolokposo people are Uvwies maternally.
Most families at Ugbolokposo have ties with families at either Alaka or Erovie Quarters of Effurun.
In Uvwie,that area is referred to as Ugborokponu( don't mind my spelling).
This same scenario played out at Oghara-Agbarho.But the Agbarho people were wise.That enclave has been changed to Oku ru Ufuoma,though most people from that axis of Oghara-Agbarho has Itsekiri names.For example,a one-time Agbarho politician,Sobotie was from that area.
I don't have any hatred for the Itsekiris,they are nice and hospitable people.That was the reason our ancestors welcome them.But politics make them to turn their backs on us( Urhobos their benefactors.)
