Guys. I just came to Canada recently through study route. Which jobs are available to enable me work and study?. Why am I hearing I need certifications |
Also I'm hearing its quite difficult to get jobs without certification even if you have experience previously. Why are people recommending SCRUM master certification |
Hi guys, I'm starting at SAIT my May. Currently in Calgary just recently touched down like a week ago. What is the best ways to connect with Nigerians in Calgary. haven't been around much |
Please how did the national assembly election go. Who lost and gained new seats. PDP needs a rebuild after this election. They should make it a pyrrhic victory for APC. They have a chance to win majority of gubernatorial election and set themselves up for 2027. Majority of LP voters are still PDP voters. Atiku shouldn't just return to Dubai. Let him help campaign for PDP gubernatorial candidates in the north especially in the states he won. Obi mania will die down a little before the Gubers. Ayu needs to clean house before he resigns and set up the party for he future. PDP still remains my party. |
Obi just spoil market PDP. Without Obi. The beating APC for receive eh. Even with only 50 percent of his vote |
Everything is now clearer. APC won this election and it was because of one thing. Lack of unity in the PDP especially regarding Obi and Atiku. But that's forgone conclusion. Moving forward. There's actually hope for the party. I think PDP should channel it's energy on winning the majority of the gubernattorial election, this will position the party for 2027. PDP is likely taking back Imo, Ebonyi and Cross River, I'm predicting Obi fever will die down a little bit before the gubernatorial election. They will lose Benue but will take back Plateau. They will make huge in roads in the north. This is where Atiku could help. He shouldn't just return to Dubai. If he loves the party, let him campaign vigorously for the gubernatorial candidates especially for the state he won. Especially in Kano, Gombe, Katsina, Yobe, Sokoto and hopefully PDP will emerge controlling more states and position itself for 2027. |
rolams:Who's leading in Zamfara? |
OVB123:. Is LP leading in Rivers or APC. How distant is PDP in rivers |
OVB123:Who dey second for Edo. Is APC leadin in Cross River or LP? |
rolams:Let's say Tinubu wins north central but with small margin. Can Atikus total in both south south and soth east cover noth central margin. So can Atikus total in both north west and north east cover Tinubu margin in south west. That's how I see it. |
Avedonn: |
I am sure I've hardly seen any LP or PDP banners. With the way his face is plastered everywhere, you'll think it would not be close |
What is shekerau even doing for Atiku in Kano. I thought he was still very influential considering he once defeated kwankwaso singlehandedly. It will be bad for him if Atiku no see 25% for Kano. |
Guys any report on how Atiku is doing in Delta considering his vice is from there. I know Rivers don pass am. What about Edo and Cross River. Is he at least second in those states |
Atiku might win the south south oh. I heard he's leadig in Bayelesa and Akwa Ibom. Can he win Delta. If he wins those three. He will win the south south. How's he doing in Cross River. I know he's doing bad in Rivers. But can he win at least 4 states. |
It's actually the obidients that gave him victory. How they thought from he begining that they could win the election is beyond me. Nigeria is not westernized nation with educated voters and high urbanization. Most voters here are rural and the educated populace is smaller than the uneducated. That's where structures come in play. Politicians can influence these uneducated voters with cash and giveaways. People should have understood this before now |
CSTRR:And with population growth. Soon they won't need the south to win only for 25% spread. How many people for south dey marry 4 wives and 20 children. I keep saying it by the next three election. They north will be even more dominant than now. Fulani + Hausa is already 50% of Nigeria. By 2031. They could reach 55 to 60%. You think Tinubu is worshipping the north now. Think what southern politicians will be doing to gain favor with northern voters by 2031 |
Felabrity:. So it didn't matter if Atiku pacified them, he was losing their states with or without them. |
The G5 good governors are quite overrated though. I'm hearing ikpeazu, uguwuanyi and ortom have lost heir senatorial bids or on the verge of losing. But these governors were going to help Atiku win their states, when they can't even help themselves. It was always Obi all the way preventing an Atiku presidency not Wike or G5 |
HIGHESTPOPORI:He's winning north central and close in both ne and nw. Even if atiku wins both ne and nw which is a big if, he wins with small margin. Tinubu will cancel that margin with wins in SW and NC. Even if obi wins se and SS. He won't get anything significant in the biggest voting regions (nw and ne). He isn't doing well in SW apart from Lagos. He can't win NC either. Anyway you permutate it. Tinubu wins by total votes. He and and Atiku will get national spread but he wins by Total votes. |
My take from this election If Tinubu wins it would 99.9% percent because of obidients and 0.5% because of G5 governors. In fact the G5 is overrated, if the governors themselves are losing their senatorial bids. Igbos are way too emotional. There was no chance Tinubu would be this close to victory if they had voted PDP even with G5 governors. Soludo warned them. It would have been a bloodbath victory for PDP if they were united. 2027 is warning to them. Will depend of how Tinubu does |
If there's a runoff. Wouldn't atiku emerge since OBI won't be in the ballot? |
This predictions is showing that only obi is preventing an Atiku presidency. Without Obi, Atiku will get an easy ride |
Eniitankorede:But you agree if Obi Steps down today. Tinubu has no chance against Atiku |
skj1377:Wow. That means alot. Currently in Ikeja area. Bless you. Anytime, can have a drink. |
We still have properties, a lot actually but running some of them is hard because no liquid cash especially Petrol station, to run a filling station now. You'll be looking at close to 15 to 20m to buy products. Some of the properties i'm against selling them because I'm sure they'll be more valuable with time. But just sold a land in remote area in Rivers State to see if e fit help me do another waka. When people been dey tell me Nigeria hard, I never beloved it was this level I swear. That's my biggest regret, thinking I could make something out of Nigeria with no money |
My school was United International Business School (UIBS) Zurich Switzerland. Attached is Tuition fee and admission letter
|
Phraences:. I feel like I've failed him, I wish I could apologize I swear. He was 95 years and he used to pick me up from airport whenever I came for Christmas break. Every single time despite his age And he entrusted my younger ones to me, he used to say "as I have done to you, do to them" because I'm the first born. Just hoping Canada waka can work by Gods grace. I want to make amends on all the mistakes. It really breaks my heart. Sometimes even to cry go dey tire me. |
Phraences:. He left properties. But no cash. The land wet we just sell. Na to see if e go reach go Canada. We still have properties. School in PH for my mom. 6 bedroom 2 storey in PH. Problem is the polygamy. Mom is second wife. He has elder children. Business not doing well like before and so much debt to pay off. |
tensazangetsu20:Dad advised me to go the Canada or USA since we had relatives there but the reason I went to Switzerland was I wanted to be close to the commodity trading industry there. Switzerland is a hub for commodity trading . I though I could make contacts with large commodity traders there like Vitol, Glencore and Trafigura. I did make contacts, initially I wanted to start if as a broker or but when I went deeper I realized that I need even more money to do the business. Basically an my carelessness cause am. I was too excited to want to be in Swiss commodity trading circle. I was too business oriented because I'd never worked a day in my life. How my money take finish was I was flying around the world a lot. When I request for a meeting with some commodity traders, Them go make I come Hungary or Monaco or London for meeting and I go fly go there for like 1 hr meeting while juggling my studies. No much progress because it requires a lot of money even to be a broker. Sha the experience was lovely, I just wished I made better decision |
tensazangetsu20:I just dey regret why I no go USA or Canada. Switzerland is more expensive than those countries and den they give PR. My rent for student house in Zurich for just a room was 1 million naira per month. 12 million per year. That's just 1 year. Shared bathroom, toilet and kitchen |
3 years ago I was basically a King from 2018 to 2019. I was doing my MBA in Zurich Switzerland, the most expensive city in the world. I was young at 24 to 25 years. Before that I was in Malaysia doing a levels and Bsc between 2010 and 2017 plus gap years I took. Malaysia is less expensive than Switzerland but its not really that cheap because I lived in the capital (Kuala Lumpur). 2 of my sisters were also studying together with me. All financed by my father All funded by my late father. My school fees in switzerland was 33,000 swiss francs and 25,000 swiss francs for living expenses for 1 year. Together everything then was about almost 40 million naira for a year. While I was there I didn't try to find a job until it was too late (permit was expiring). Before that I'd never worked a day in my life before. Basically I lived a life of luxury and everything came crashing down I left switzerland in December 2019, didn't finish my MBA. No funds. Dad's burial took almost everything . family was in so much debt. Its crazy Dad died few days I was supposed to leave for switzerland (he was old enough 95 years). Anyway countdown three years later. I'm doing POS business in Lagos. I tried dispatch business but I stopped after 6 months unable to find quality riders and the Daily headaches. Back to your question on grace to grass. I used to travel a most every 2 weeks when I was in Switzerland. I've been to France, Germany, London, Dubai for holidays before and now I do a POS business. Its funny because i could be insulted by people wey never cross third mainland bridge before in tjis POS business but it makes me laugh though. I don't beat myself up. If I tell people say I from.Switzerland, dem no go believe. Tried to get a job but no positions. I regret certain things I did. I was too comfortable that I didn't even try to get a job until it was too late. I regret certain actions. I wished I could change things but I've moved on. Om working hard to see what I can do to rebuild. I believe if God gives me life I can go back to my former lifestyle with improvements I'm trying to see if I can go back cheaper place like Canada or others, getting help from sister. Picture attached was my swiss visa.
