nop dont bon it since your first degree didnt correspond with ur proposed course of study sir, now i no where the major problem lies: i wish i knew u b4 u submitted: i wouldnt v allowed to to apply for ur proposed course of study, a frnd was also delayed cos his first degree wasnt similiar to her proposed course of study... guess she used a lawyer in canada to find out by mailing embassy to find out y she was refused and she was told that... now a good SOP can help solve that: i mean a very convincing one bro or since u have deferred ur admissn, u can also mail ur school on how to change ur intend course to smthin similar if possible. When u now get to canny to can now work on how to swap for the initial course of study, pm me now so i can send u couple of good SOP if u intend to proceed in IT course mcdonald123: kkk....i studied elect/ elect as my first degree....finished 2012, served in november 2013 jes put dat cisco so d VO knows wat i did dat period...i started working in an IT firm in 2014 while serving....trying 2 get a study leave from my HR, i hope dat helps...so mayb i will jes bone d cisco tingy nd nat add it... |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by Sodikworld(m): 12:33pm On Dec 04, 2014 |
Thanks Home boy!! bro my advice is that u shud check your course list and see if there are courses listed there that's related to Cisco in ur proposed course of study, if yes you dont need to add your cisco cert. Your first degree is an IT course right plus you currently working in an IT firm so its enough to convince the VO that you ok for intended course of study..... Lastly another red flag for adding your Cisco cert: You making it known to the VO that you know a lots having done Cisco. Thats my view bro mcdonald123: congrats sodikworkd....i indicated cos i wanted dem 2 knw am in a related field...plus am going 4 information security...i only did cisco route nd switch no security...i stated it in my SOP...so wats ur advice sir? |

Like i said earlier that it depends, am not saying its the reason for his delay: lemme use my case as a scenario to elaborate on what i intend explaining to him: i decided not to add ComTia, A+ etc because these courses are listed in my course outline in my proposed field of study... adding it to me is a red flag: who knws if VO check one's course outline?? u can't tell? so he should check his course outline to know if ccna/ccnp re included: *MyOpinion* Tho larryshow40: Am a quiet follower of this trend...I think you are wrong about certifications (I stand to be corrected tho). Computer Certifications are good proof you know what you are doing, and having a career progression. Its an advantage especially if you are doing a computer related course. So i think you should check while you were refused well.....but am sure its not cause of your certifications. Av seen alot of people on this trend that got their TRV and they added computer certifications. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by Sodikworld(m): 9:26am On Dec 04, 2014 |
Sorry for the delay sir, to my understanding and expr from this thread: u shudnt have added ccna/ccnp cos it indicates you understand a lots in this field....i was also delayed cos i presentd Cisco, CompTia, A+ etc when i first applied: am a computer science graduate and heading to Lamption for information technology professional. TRV at hand now... dont relent bro mcdonald123: asin i jes weak...all relevant documents were tendered....being following dis forum 4 a while nw...so i was very careful....SOA was 3.8 m after payment of fees....sponsor was my dad...hes a professor so gud inflow of cash montly...only 2 dependants my self nd my younger bro...nd we noth done wiv service....i currently work @ an ICT firm. I included employment letter....i studied elect/ elect 4 first degree... Nd m going 4 information systems security in fanshawe college....i also av mu ccna/ ccnp so its a related field...i included it in my SOP. |

i'll like bring your awareness to something about fixed deposit because i also used fixed in application of my TRV: what i did was: telling my account officer to issue me something like fixed deposit cert with bank letter head paper and stating on it that after maturity the fixed cash should be roll over for the next three months, because VO are wise: so they'll the understand the availability of the cash for my studies standupguy: 1. I provided a treasury bill of 10m that was due to mature in a week bought through her bank and certificate issued.
2. 25m was fixed deposit also due to mature in a week as at the time of my application. You probably didn't read details of my app sha, I provide both account SOA and fixed deposits of both sponsor and co sponsor. Unless you are telling me that fixed deposit are not valid. |
