When all the chips are down, the only way to bounce up is if you had a backup plan. That's the spring in your step.

Don't eat the fruit of your labor as you labor. Invest as you labor so you can choose your fruits tomorrow.

Sorry about this ordeal. But I don't think anyone has the right to order you to come along with them or convey a criminal or their associate in your car. I repeat, NO ONE HAS THAT RIGHT.

Next time, once police or EFCC get into your car and start interrogating a rider to the point of arresting him, end the trip there, demand your fare from the suspect and tell them to leave your car. They came with their car, let them deal with the suspect whichever way they want. Walk away from it as fast as you can. No need of you following them up and down which can even land you in court as a witness and more legal tussles that may follow.

Maybe, it's just me though, but I wouldn't move an inch with them in my car when I have no business with the suspect other than him being a total stranger and a passenger.

In Nigeria, right belongs to whoever has the power at any point in time.

I am very very disappointed at how my time has been wasted by this fellow.

You do not seem like a direct seller and you lack professionalism.

I renewed my licence via their online platform. Did it on my phone, my wife paid 6k+ in the bank in benin and licence was ready in 2weeks.

Lagos was asking for 12k or there about as at the time via same online process.

I've been using it for rhe past 1year now.

It was a 3years renewal.

Thanks man

Swwweeett!

What are you waiting for brother?

I would like to think you would be in a position to get more riders. Remitting shouldn't be an issue.

Can you wait four years though? Or is there an option to buy out of the contract...i.e you pay up the remainder of the money at a go and take the ride?

Advise taken Bruv but Drivers have a strong propensity to always cheat the owner if they can owners need to be in the know when things are improving they shouldn’t be kept in the dark, particularly when the lockdown is gradually being lifted.
May God bless your hardwork and send the right passengers to you.
Iam thinking of bringing electric cars to Nigeria there is no need 4 petrol at all, cars will be returned to base /office every night for a full charge and picked up the following morning do you think it’s feasible delivery will be 45k per week

I like this idea of electric cars, you fit pick me as your driver when you get one in sha grin grin

Anyways, there are some questions to ask yourself, if you havent though...

How many miles can the vehicle cover after a full charge?

How efficient i.e rugged is it? No be say e go enter pothole and battery go shift.

Is there a plan B to charge the vehicle in the case of a power problem at base?

Al of these answers should make your decision easier to make.

Good luck!

One of our driver share this on whatsapp group...

Hello great pilots in the house.

I want make una hear this one ooo.

I pick a rider from Vono Street, Ilupeju to Agbado Crossing. On my way coming back I was arrested by the police at Agbado Crossing Junction. They told me this is Ogun State and there is lockdown. I picked my phone and called the rider and she came to meet me. She begged the police but they refused to let me go.

While she was crying, the Chairman of the NURTW of the whole of Agbado/Alakuko saw her and asked what the problem is, she told him everything.
The chairman asked me to come. He asked me how much was my total money for the trip and I said #2,200.

He was surprised and he said, "YOU CAME FROM ILUPEJU TO AGBADO CROSSING FOR #2,200.

He asked me if I'm married and I said yes. He now said, "how do you feed your wife and kIds?"

Shame catch me because I know where the man was going.

He further said that we Uber drivers are under taskmasters. That how can you carry #2,200 from Lagos to Ogun State.

The rider was silent, she couldn't say a word.

The chairman later called one.of his boys and asked him to give me #2k. He called the police by himself and asked him to collect the #2k from me. He said the trip i brought here was a card trip and it was my first trip and the #2k was given to me by him.

That was how I was released.

The chairman told me finally as I start my car to go. He said, "o je lo wase mi se." .... "meaning, go and look for another work and be doing."

My people this was my experience today Saturday, June 27th, 2020.
grin grin grin
The driver for ask the Chairman if e get ride for am make he epp am move Ogun
