walcolm: Have you tried to measure the amount of data you used before you had to renew your subscription?
My measurement this February on the airtel unlimited BIS plan showed only 1.5gb consumed before the sim started requesting a new subscription?
And the 1k airtel BIS plan is a hit or miss on a BlackBerry 10 device!!! Some are able to use it and others are not 1k for 3GB works on my Passport despite Airtel CC telling me it can't work and it burns longer unlike 1K5 for BB10 is burning like crazy. For testing purpose, 1k5 for 3GB got exhausted within 1week (Tethering to my iPhone and my laptop... No download). While 1k sub, takes me like 3weeks on same fair usage. |

Business › Re: It Pays To Guide Your Business Secrets by softtouch2(m): 7:16am On Jan 17, 2016 |
Ymodulus: Guarding your business secrets and confidential Information is advisable and imperative in order to prevent improper disclosure of your mojo to competitors or the public. Secret formulas, drawings, ingredients, Manufacturer's contact are all information that should be protected and never released just for free. Too many, diluting the words of the first paragraph, would sound as a big shock, noting the fact that I have been known since time immemorial for sharing contact details/ formulas / secrets / working drawing of past- ongoing - future business deals that i have carried out successfully in the aspect of importation. Too some, at the sight of the topic will say to themselves either subconsciously or not. Ymodulus has learned. Well yes I have.
These are my reasons; 1. Favor For Favor 2. Monopolistic Behavior even when they were given such ideas on a platter of gold. 3. Some make more than u the originator, and not even remembering u
1. Favour for Favour If you belong to the class that a favor given today will not directly or indirectly pave the way for a favour tomorrow, then you are dreaming. Even in the Holy Book of the Bible, David protecting Nabal’s cattle and expecting food in return, Jesus – Christ and God sacrificing their life and turning back to punish humans in the name of freedom of choice are both epitome examples of favour for favour.
Example 1: This happened between me and a supposed – internet friend. November 2nd this month.
Friend: Hi! Ymodulus am Bleep from nairaland. I got your contact. Ymodulus: Ok. How can I help u? Friend: Please can you help me with any seller details for PlayStation 4? I saw on Alibaba but am scared as negative comments. Ymodulus: Guy do not risk your money buying PlayStation 4 from china, they will sell you fake one of 64GB telling you its 500GB. Friend: So please how do I get a good one? Ymodulus: Ok call me later in the evening I will send you the contact of a trusted Seller. Also I will give you someone that will help verify the PlayStation after paying before it leaves China Friend: Thanks so much ** Friend begins praises and eulogies ** ***** I sent him all the contacts same day for free and without asking him even recharge card***
This Occurred Wednesday, 9th of November.
I tried contacting my PlayStation 4 Seller and found out I misplaced the contact. I quickly checked my Phone contacts and call this Unknown Nairalander.
Ymodulus: Hi afternoon its Ymodulus. Friend: I know na. Afternoon boss Ymodulus: Bros abeg I lost that my playstation 4 seller contact wei I give u. Abeg u fit send me back the contact? Friend: *** Begins to stammer *** *** Ymodulus calling and calling to plead for the contact***
Friend: Guy abeg, u go find me something to send u this contact o. Ymodulus: Ok I will transfer you N1000 to go to café or get data. Send me your account details Friend: I MEAN U GO BUY THE CONTACT. U no say na money u and me wan make Ymodulus: ***** so shock couldn’t believe my ears. Hung up the phone *** ********** Long story Short I got the contact back via another means. Through the Q.I *****
Example2: This Happened yesterday. A close business partner, gave out a contact to A FRIEND OF MINE sometime, now went back to ask that FRIEND OF MINE for his belt seller contact. See the conversation that ensured.
Business Partner: Oga abeg u fit help me with ur contact for ITEM XXXX ? FRIEND OF MINE: Sorry oga. I no fit make I no lie u. Business Partner: oga na me be Ymodulus friend wei give u my top Glass seller best clone FRIEND OF MINE: I no na ** even begin to describe my close business partner further ** FRIEND OF MINE: U should understand that a business contact, 1 business contact can fetch you millions…. Bla blah blah and should not be given out for free. As it’s a business secret. FRIEND OF MINE: U can tell me the belt you want, and send me the money I will help u buy **** Long discussion and lecturing of how sharing contacts are bad continued. Phone Hung up ****
2. Monopolistic Behavior even when they were given such ideas on a platter of gold. This is something that I experienced twice. Once with some group on Nairaland and second time of recent. You give a lady your personal Kitchen Utensils Contact. This same lady then goes behind you asking your manufacturer that she wants to be the only sole Nigerian distributor. Also other Nigerians coming through her (Including I the Nigerian who gave her the contact). Why are Humans this wicked? I gave her the contact without even asking her a penny and she goes behind me to tell my contact that!!! .

3. People Making more Money than you will make. All the above happenings have made me come to clearer understanding of the words Patent / trademark and likes. Before I had this text-book regurgitating definition of patent / trademark and likes etc. Lets be honest the essence of business is to make money. Most times you give out this contact for free, those you give them too end up making more money than you without showing any form of appreciation.
Truth be told point 3 is not really a problem to me and is the least reason i wrote this. Point 1 and 2 are. @Poster You had a good heart, but don't let anyone turn you to what you are not. Maybe next time you need to get to know people one-on-one or whichever way better for you. I have met nice people on Nairaland and we even end-up becoming physical friends, later we discovered we share same friend outside NL, just to show you the world is a small place. @Everyone Before we blame people at the top for atrocities, what are we when no one is watching us? Some are just opportunist, they allow the seed of deceit to take over whenever they met truthful person, calling it "smart" way. |

Either CBN sell to BDC or Banks, it can never help Naira. In as much we are not earning $£€ for our economy. NO POLICY will make Naira stronger.
The issue of FX demand can be simplified thus using a figurative example: The country is generating $8, but her people need to consume $500. This is liken to financial famine! the only way out of this mess is to earn more FX from export. We need to export our goods & services outside crude oil. |

iamodenigbo1: pls what happens to the kids when they reach 18 years and above especially the men,how do they survive this our harsh society without kinsmen and relatives. pls I need to know Let me respond to you based on what I have seen. There's an orphanage home located not far from my house (the kids there normal come to fetch water at my place at the peak of dry season). The home was initially established by a Nigerian couple (the couple now reside outside Nigeria) but the orphanage is now running nearly self-sufficient. Before those couple relocated, they were able to train some of then kids to adulthood. Most of which are now married and doing very well. These are the people now financing this orphanage home. They all meet to celebrate Xmas together yearly with present kids in the orphanage home. It is just amazing, I have been invited before, I thought all the people are just good samaritans, not knowing they grew up in that home and still see themselves as part of big family. @Poster Back to your question, it is not what they brag about, growing up in orphanage is not an excuse for not doing good in life. |

Myopic people always find excuses when development suffice. During Fashola's restructuring of Lagos (of which many Westerners were affected), a lot were said of his "evil-intentions", even people abroad were amazed at Lagos' new look.
Now, continuation of that development is seen as a tribal attack. Some people are just too shallow minded.
It is obvious many prefer replicating their village/farm-settlement into urban areas.
Oshodi is like a gateway for any visitor coming into the country. Oshodi view can discourage first timers flying into Nigeria. I once remember picking-up a non-nigeria from International Airport. She has been very excited to visit Nigeria due to Nollywood films and news about Nigerians in diaspora. Driving thru old Oshodi shocked her.
When Govt tried to end corruption, some see it as witch-hunting (and anti-party activities) When Govt tried to demolished illegal structures to pave way for new development, some are seeing opposite.
People will forever find excuse for any development, same people will complain Nigeria need to be like developed country.
Nevertheless, creating environmental pollution from that activities is purely insane! |

Culture › Re: Some Misconception About Warri And Her People by softtouch2(m): 10:16pm On Dec 08, 2015 |
Goodboiyy: Good evening people. . was discussing with someone from north when this discussion came up , and I can bet that his view is common with Most Nigerians especially those from SW, SE and Northern Nigeria.. Below are some misconception about warri and her people.
1. Warri Is Owned By One Ethnic Group : Yea. most people believe Urhobo People own warri, Why some thinks Warri is owned by Itsekiri's. Hell No.. Warri is owned By three Tribe Urhobo, Itsekiri and Ijaw …
2. Ruggedity :. I remember my first visit to Lagos.. At first they taught am Yoruba because of my name so they didn't pay me my due respect, So something came up I then revealed my ID that am from warri.. Mehn from that day They start fearing me, never Knew until Someone told me that they were scared of me.. Also Some People thinks if you are from Warri They You are Automatically Sturborn and Rugged which is not true, If you meet some wafarians like LKO, Fratermathy , Freemanan , Onuwaje e.t.c you did be surprise because they are very Cool and gentle but if You See People like me ... hmmmm
3 Oil City : This gat me laughing.. When we refer to warri as an oil city (Wish is a just a title) some people thinks Warri account For about 50% of Delta State Oil Prod. which is not True, Although the Tribes in Warri (Urhobo, Itsekiri and Ijo ) Account for about 93% of Oil prod. in Delta State.. The title "Oil City" Was just given to warri because of the Refinery and some Oil wells, our Major oil prod. are our Offshore oil field.
4 Itsekiri Are Yoruba Subgroup: You mostly hear this from Ignorant people especially those from North and some Yoruba people, Yes they speak almost same language, Bear similar names, But the fact still remains that Itsekiri Are Itsekiri, Yoruba Are Yoruba.. Although Itsekiri have a good relationship with Yoruba especially the Ilaje people who we see as our Kit and Kin.
5. Urhobo, Itsekiri, Ijaw Hates themselves; We usually Hear such Word from Non Niger Deltans who try to use Warri crisis to gain cheap point. You hear statement like " Niger Deltans re not One" "Ijaw hates Itsekiri" e.t.c but I tell you, All are lies, Itsekiri luv ijo , Ijo luv Urhobo Warri crisis is political
6. Warri people cannot speak Good English This impression is gotten from the representation of Waffarians as masters of the Nigerian Pidgin. Because of this, most people think people from Warri can speak only pidgin and do not flow well in correct English. Well, this is wrong! The average Waffarian speaks English even much more and far better than the average person from the East, West and North!
7. Warri people are not intelligent I have actually met quite a few people who have a stereotypical view that Waffarians are dull and unintelligent and only love trouble. Well, this is absolutely FALSE!!! Granted, Warri is a place where it is better IF YOU MAINTAIN YOUR OWN BUSINESS, the people are actually one of the smartest people from Nigeria! Warri has birthed great actors, professors, writers, philosophers, doctors, lawyers, etc. Some of Warri's great products include Richard Mofe Damijo, Professors Tanure Ojaide, Gabriel Darah, J.P. Clark, Isidore Okpewho, Eric Arubayi, Andrew Onokerhoraye, Andrew Evwaraye, etc. These Professors are some of the BEST in their various disciplines. The list of Warri intellectuals and intelligentsia cannot be fully encapsulated in this exposition.
8. The Olu of Warri Rules over ALL of Warri This erroneous misconception stems from the titular appellation of the monarch himself as the Olu of WARRI! What people dont know is that this title ONLY came to be in the 1950s due to Awolowo. The original title was the Olu of Itsekiri. However, this title has stuck for the major reason that Itsekiris, which are one of the main inhabitants of Warri, call their homeland Iwerre! However, in Warri, there are several other monarchs who rule different ethnic groups. We have the Ovie of Agbarha-Warri, the Orosuen of Okere-Warri, the Pere of Gbaranmatu-Warri, etc. These monarchs rule over various sections of Warri. The Olu rules over the Itsekiri section, the Ovie and Orusuen rules over Urhobo and the Pere rules over Ijaw.
9. Warri is the Capital of Delta State Well, I wouldn't blame people for thinking this. Most Northerners and Westerners hear only about Warri and assume that it must be Delta's capital. Many have forgotten their primary school States and Capitals... Asaba has always been and remains the capital of Warri. However, the politics that relocated the capital from Warri to Asaba is a story for another day. Warri still houses an annex of the Government House where governors go whenever they want to be close to Waffarians. Former Governor Uduaghan was once attacked for relocating from Asaba to set up a permanent base in Warri. However, I overheard a rumour that Okowa has closed this annex. If Anioma State is ever created for the Igbos of Delta State, Warri shall definitely emerge as a capital. For now, WARRI IS THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CAPITAL OF DELTA STATE.
10. Warri includes Effurun, Udu and Osubi Many novices in Warri usually count separate towns and cities such as Effurun, Enerhen, Udu, Agbarho, Okuokoko, Osubi, etc as part of Warri. This is not true. These towns/cities are independent of Warri. They are even in different local government areas from Warri. Effurun is in Uvwie, Osubi is in Okpe and Udu is an eponymous LGA. Warri City is in Warri South LGA mainly. The main city starts from Airport Road and connects with Edjeba, Okere, Agbarha-Ame, Jakpa, Ugboroke, Iyara, Idimi, Ajamimogha, Okumagba Avenue, Deco, etc. Effurun is a city of its own. Udu is a town of its own. Osubi and Okuokoko are classed as Okpe villages. However, due to modernisation and the lack of available houses in Warri City, many people move to these surrounding cities/towns to live and setup businesses and they end up calling everywhere WARRI. In a metropolitan sense, they are right. However, historically and otherwise, these cities/towns/villages are NOT IN WARRI!!!
Further credits : Fratermathy Please tell your comedians to always paint a good picture of Warri. Many Nigerians had never visited Warri , some will never in their life, give us good pictures and event of Warri, your write-up is a good start. If your Warri-kins in Lagos are quick to introduce themselves as Warri-boy or Warri-girl while inviting trouble, then whose fault? |

Crime › Re: Paris Shooting : ISIS Mentions Nigeria by softtouch2(m): 8:58pm On Nov 18, 2015 |
HaneefahRN: I felt I had to comment on this thread cos the rate of ignorance felled hatred against Islam by non-muslims due to all these propagandas is high. First and foremost like we always say Islam is a religion of peace and is not synonymous to terrorism. Islam is against murder. Q6:151 'do not kill a soul God has made sacrosanct, save lawfully' Q5:53 'whoso kills a soul, unless it be for murder or wrecking corruption in the land, it shall be as if he killed all mankind, and he who saves a life, it shall be as if he has given life to all of mankind' - There is no compulsion in religion Q2:256 'There is no compulsion in religion. The ryt way has become distinct from error' Q18:28 'Say: the truth is from ur Lord; then whosoever will, let him blive and whosoever will, let him disbelieve' Q10:107'Say: O making, Now hath the truth from ur Lord come to u, whosoever is guided, is for his own soul and whosoever erreth, erreth against his own soul, and I AM NOT A WARDER OVER U' So if the prophet wasn't given given permission by Allah to coerce pple into the religion, where are the deluded animals coming from? - I am a Muslim and a Jihadist JIHAD is a word that has in recent times been greatly misinterpreted. It simply means 'Striving' as against holy war as it has been painted. Jihad is in 3 phases, jihad on one's soul, that is one doing the right thns and avoiding evil, searching for knowledge and partaking in righteous deeds. 2- Jihad in the Society, this deals with dawah, enjoining pple to do gud and avoiding evil, spreading the mssg of Islam etc. 3- this involves war, this can only be done against oppression and injustice. The Muslims later resorted to this against the pagans of Mecca who were torturing, starving, banishing, and killing Muslims. The consensus has to be reached by the head of the Muslim community and a warning being given to the enemies Q2:190 ' Fight in the way of God against those who fight u, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loveth not aggressors! Q8:61'But if the enemies incline towards peace you also incline towards peace and trust in God! For He is the one who hears and knows all things' In conclusion, it can be inferred that the terrorists are against what Islam stands for. Like the crusaders fought for Christendom not Christianity. These deluded terrorists aren't fighting for Islam but for whatever personal reason they myt av whether political, territorial or just plain psychotic missions. The might shout Allah Akbar, it doesn't make what they are doing right or supported by Islam. It is also noticed that more religious Muslims are least inclined to terrorism becos they know what they hold, but pple who know next to nothing and are easily brainwashed are drawn to it. Their motive isn't to fight for Islam, cos what they are doing is against Islam. And I know there is more to this propaganda than meets the eye and what the media portrays. America has a lot of hand of many things. I pray the truth prevails soon. Go preach these to ISIL & Boko Haram!
