Politics / Re: Maryam Uwais - "Senator Yerima And Constitutional Review" by SOJ111(m): 5:57pm On Jul 22, 2013
I think this write up says it all. The carefully coreographed and researched work is highly commendable & this is the level of empowerment the North should strive for a girl child. Religious bigots would do anything to keep their subjects ignorant. Poverty is the worst kind of disease destroying Africa cos it a mental disease
Politics / Re: The Toll Booths At The New Ikoyi Link Bridge.pics by SOJ111(m): 2:36am On Jun 03, 2013
If only rich people will swallow panadol for poor man problems the way people here lament about the tolls. This people would sit in der houses when govt increases price of fuel cos they don't give a damn.
Less than 1% of Lagos residents would use that bridge & people would come here to spew trash. We should search ourselves before we make comments atimes. Let any unrest or anything start in Nigeria, they will check out with der family and poverty mentality would make some defend them from spending der money. This is about the only way to collect money from them, let them spend it. If you wan go greet person for Lekki, pass Oniru that is free of charge. Shikena!
Politics / Re: Fashola Sues Jang Faction Of NGF by SOJ111(m): 12:06pm On Jun 02, 2013
ballabriggs: All these talk about the NGF being 'unconstitutional' is totally stupid. The constitution guarantees the freedom of association and nobody can take this right away from us.

If the Governors deem it fit to exercise this right by way of the NGF, nobody has a right to stop them from doing this. And this is what they want. They want to have a hold of their forum where they can share knowledge and information; and not have one drunk man from Aso Villa determine how they choose to associate.

Good move Raji Fashola.
The way people argue on NL is baffling sometimes. What we fail to realize is that this is setting a bad precedence for our democracy. People endorsing this illegality today should note that if this happens in a national election it is anarchy. I expected the Pro-Jang faction to have gone to court to stop Amechi from parading himself as the Chairman before the election if they felt agrieved. We should learn yo act civilized in Nigeria.

This should be the benchmark for all oil producing state ie the likes of Bayelsa, Rivers & Delta states. They have similar resources with mid level population vis-a-viz other states. No one should compare Akwa Ibom with any other state in Nigeria. Their resources, demography and land mass can't compare to any other state
Politics / Re: Prepare For Flood: NEMA Warns South-West States by SOJ111(m): 3:22pm On Apr 11, 2013
While I am not excusing any government there are times this rains are beyond what anyone can control. Snow storms occur in temperate climes and cities are under lock down for days. It doesn't rain in Nigeria it pours voraciously. I bet if it rains the way it does in Lagos in London, Amsterdam or New York these cities will get flooded. Clear your drains and try to stay safe that should be our guiding principles. Also, don't try to put your car through those flooded areas except it has already been immersed in it while parked.

Health / Re: My Phobia For People With Mental Illness: Reply To Adebola Rayo by SOJ111(m): 10:30am On Mar 18, 2013
You don't have to look far before you know loads of Nigerians have one form of mental illness or the other, just check those who are quick to comment on Nairaland: ''first to coment @ a post' and add no other comment. Does that sound normal?
I think showing love and understanding which you did is highly commendable & I don't think you should be too hard on yourself. Love and understanding does play a part in the healing process.
Also people who spiritualize everything seem to get it wrong, there is a place for solutions to problems in the physical realm. I don't think the church/mosque/spiritual centre is a place to help people with mental illness
Celebrities / Re: Ruggedman Insulted On Twitter For Scolding Channelstv Reporters by SOJ111(m): 12:41am On Mar 16, 2013
I kinda agreed with Rugged man on this one. I admit I found it extremely entertaining when I first watched it but stepping back and looking at the whole scenario. It was obvious the guy didn't know the answer to the question or didn't totally understand the question. There is a more professional way of handling the interview and I must admit the presenters fell short. Today its this man they are scoring points with on TV they'll meet their match someday who'll make them look dumb and stupid and then you'll see another side to these presenters. Whether we agree or not, the way the continued to hammer the question was in complete distaste.

Politics / Re: Owners Of Oil Wells In Nigeria Unveiled By Segun Adeniyi by SOJ111(m): 3:47am On Mar 14, 2013
Does it make sense for some people to have these oil fields and others don't? On what grounds/basis are these fields shared? These fields belong to Nigerians and it is wrong for some few to share 'our' collective wealth. Can an ordinary man/wonan apply to buy/lease one of these oil fields?

I agree
Music/Radio / Re: Tiwa Savage Ft Don-Jazzy - Without My Heart by SOJ111(m): 11:28pm On Mar 11, 2013
The song is too dancehall for this kinda of video. When you expect to see booty in Nigerian vids you don't. Check out youtube for some dance routines some girls did with the song. This video woulda been one hellava dancehall hit but good production nevertheless. Thumbs up Marvin!
Politics / Re: Nigerians Vandalise Their Embassy In Senegal (Video) by SOJ111(m): 9:47am On Mar 06, 2013
There is absolutely no reason for this. Two wrongs don't make a right. All I see is a bunch of uncivilized men behaving like animals. The Nigerian Consulate frustrates people all over the world everyday but people don't react like this. Which way Nigeria?
