Bishop David Oyedepo of the Winners Chapel invoke curses on those he called the Fulani vagabonds, making life impossible for local people.

“The Fulani vagabonds are making life impossible for local people and the government claims not to know”, Oyedepo said
“Many destinies have been unsettled by the unsettlement in the nation”, he added before delivering the curses.

Two armed robbery suspects were arrested along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos while carrying out their operations.

Official of the Nigerian High Commission and Consulate in Indonesia was arrested and tortured by the Indonesian police after he went out to shop at a supermarket on August 7, 2021.

The officer, identified as Ibrahim, was accosted by the police, after which he told them that he was working as an officer of the Nigerian High Commission and Consulate in Indonesia.
It was learnt that his Identification card and passport were, however, not with him during his visit to the place.
The Indonesia Police officers reportedly did not listen to his plea and he was forced down inside a vehicle where he was beaten, and he started to suffocate.

In a statement on Monday, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in receipt of a report and has seen a video in circulation regarding an unacceptable incident in Jakarta, Indonesia, concerning the manhandling and arrest of a Nigerian Diplomatic Agent in front of his official quarters on 7, August, 2021.

Tragedy hit a wedding event as not less than 17 guests have been killed by lightning while fourteen others were injured.

According to the BBC, the sad incident occurred in Bangladesh but the bride was safe because she was not with the wedding party at the time of the lightning.
The news outlet reported that the party was disembarking from a boat at the riverside town of Shibganj, heading towards the bride’s house, when they were caught in a thunderstorm.

The Kano State Hisbah Board has prohibited the sharing of pre-wedding photos of the daughter of Emir of Kano Zahrah Bayero, saying it is a sin.

The remains of the five prospective Youth Corpers who died in an accident in Abuja on their way to Katsina Orientation Camp have been flown to Akwa Ibom for burial.

The 12 Sunday Igboho aides are yet to regain their freedom as a result of the stringent conditions needed to secure their bails, two days after they were granted bail by Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The aides held in the custody of the Department of the State Service DSS in Abuja since July 2, 2021 could not enjoy the bail benefits on the alleged grounds that the bail conditions are too stringent and outlandish.
DAILY POST learnt on Friday that lawyers who stood for the detainees have since Wednesday when the bails were granted, been running from pillars to posts struggling to get categories of sureties listed in the court order.
Justice Egwuatu had on Wednesday admitted the 12 applicants to various bail conditions while ruling in their applications filed to that effect.

The judge who held that there is no criminal charge against the 12 applicants admitted four of them to bail in the sum of N10 million each with two sureties in like sum, while the remaining eight were granted bail in the sum of N5 million with one surety each.
The four applicants who were granted N10 million bail are; Amudat Babatunde (AKA Lady K), Okoyemi Tajudeen, Abideen Shittu and Jamiu Oyetunji.
The others admitted to N5 million bail are; Abdulateef Onaolapo, Tajudeen Erinoye, Diekola Jubril, Ayobami Donald, Uthman Adelabu, Oluwafemi Kunle, Raji Kazeem and Bamidele Sunday.

One of the sureties, the court held must be an employee of the federal government on grade level 12 and above.
The sureties must be residents in Abuja, have properties and must swear to an affidavit of means.
The judge also ordered that the title deeds of the sureties must be jointly verified by the Court registrar and the DSS in addition to evidence of three years tax payment.

The sureties are also to submit all travel documents to the court.
Justice Egwuatu in addition held that the four applicants should remain in the custody of the DSS pending the perfection of their bail.
However, since the grant of the bail, the detainees have not been able to meet some of the stringent aspects of the conditions.

Among the conditions said to be hard nuts for them to crack is the production of federal government employees above grade level 12 and others with properties in Abuja with verified title documents and three years tax .
At the time of this report, DAILY POST was informed that all the 12 detainees are still in the custody of the DSS.
Counsel to the detainees, Mr Pelumi Olajengbesi confirmed that the detainees have not completely perfected their bail conditions.
He, however, said that efforts are on top gear for the applicants to meet up with the conditions.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has reportedly arrested a young woman who allegedly killed her boyfriend.
According to Media and PR expert, Vincent Aluu, the suspect identified as Lauretta, allegedly escaped with the deceased’s N7m, Mercedes Benz 4matic and the car papers after killing him.
The victim identified simply as Chukwuemeka is said to be the only son of his parents and was an importer.

It was gathered that Chukwuemeka was found in a pool of blood inside his bedroom after all efforts made by his friends to come and clear his consignments proved abortive.

He further disclosed that the suspect is the daughter of a police officer from Ogoja, Cross River State.

She killed him in cold blood, took his 7 million naira, 4matic Mercedes Benz. Went to procure a driver’s license for herself. Requested some Road Safety officers to escort her to Ogoja. What must have instigated her action? Is she alone or there are others.” he added.

Dare devil armed robbers on Thursday afternoon raided two banks, UBA and Access in Iree Community in Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State killing a one person suspected to be a policeman.

The robbers were said to have attacked the banks at 3:45pm.
The gunmen shot sporadically into the air as passerby ran for their lives .
Confirming the urgly incident, an eyewitnesses said that the robbers were shooting sporadically into the air while escaping through Iree-Ada road.

The family of late Nollywood Actress, Racheal Oniga has announced her burial arrangements.

The family has fixed August 26th and 27th, 2021 for her burial, the deceased son, Tunji Oniga said.
Oniga made this known in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos.

A 42-year-old man is alleged to have killed his wife before committing suicide at their home in Kiambu County, Kenya on Wednesday, August 5, 2021.

The neighbors alerted Kiambu police officers who came with immediate effect. Everybody was shocked to find Philomena lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound. Jonathan committed suicide and died on the spot.
has been revealed that the couple dated for five years and they broke up with claiming Philomena was not getting a kid. When they reunited, Jonathan noticed that Philomena was pregnant and he became so furious. That is the reason why he ended Philomena's wife. The bodies have been taken to Kiambu hospital morgue. Yoruba’s foremost monarch, the Ooni of Ife, HRH Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has revealed that consultations were ongoing to drum support for Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho), who is currently standing trial in Benin Republic.

The Ooni noted that “efforts of solidarity and support” were ongoing for Igboho, noting that everything could not be said in the public space.
Moses Olafare, the Spokesperson of the Ooni of Ife, stated this in a statement sent to SaharaReporters, adding that it was unreasonable to believe that the Yoruba traditional rulers did not show support for the agitation.
He maintained that the fact that they were making silent efforts should not be misinterpreted for inaction.

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old mother,  Kafayat Lawal who allegedly stabbed her daughter , Ayomide Adekoya with a broken bottle.

Statement issued by the Ogun Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, on Friday said the woman was arrested following information received by the Divisional Police Officer Ogijo divisional headquarters, CSP Mohammed Suleman Baba around 2:30 pm.
According to him, Kafayat Lawal locked her two daughters in a room where she beat and injured them with a broken bottle.

He said upon the information, the DPO mobilised his men and moved to the scene where the two victims were rescued and taken to hospital for treatment before one of them gave up the ghost.

Controversial Blogger and daughter of ex-Governor of Oyo State, Ms Kemi Olunloyo reacted to the separatists agitations for Self-determination in Nigeria.
She said the mission of Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu is to cause confusion in Nigeria and run away because they have Germany and United Kingdom's Visas.

In an interview conducted by BBC Yoruba on video, Kemi Olunloyo said she is not in support of separation of Nigeria but she supported Sunday Igboho for his activism.
Olunloyo reacted to her disagreements with her family, she said it is irreconcilable. She accused her parents for hating her unjustly because she is a Blogger.
"My family has forggoten me because they don't like me as a Journalist.  When I was locked up in Port Harcourt Prison, my Daddy went to NUJ to go and enjoy himself with 'Suya and Beer" That was when I heard that my Daddy was happy because I was in prison for insulting a Man of God."
