A United States citizen identified as Dontae Sharpe who was wrongly imprisoned for 26 years has been pardoned.

His innocence was proved through after
the BBC documentary on Dontae's fight for justice.
He was granted a full pardon by the governor.
Dontae Sharpe had fought to prove his innocence since his 1994 arrest. He was released from prison in August 2019.

"My family's name has been cleared," he told reporters on Friday. "It's a burden off of my shoulders and my family's shoulders."
The news follows a BBC documentary on the miscarriage of justice in his case.
Mr Sharpe's story highlighted how it can take years to get a full pardon even after a person is exonerated and wins their freedom.

Governor Roy Cooper said in a statement announcing the pardon that he had carefully reviewed the case, and those who have been wrongly convicted like Mr Sharpe "deserve to have that injustice fully and publicly acknowledged".
With the full pardon, Mr Sharpe will be able to file a request for compensation from the state.
"My freedom still ain't complete as long as there are people wrongfully in prison, wrongfully convicted, and people waiting on pardons," Mr Sharpe added.

"I've been in there and know there are guys that are innocent and know that our system is corrupt and needs to be changed."
Mr Sharpe is a fellow with Forward Justice, where he advocates for criminal justice reform in North Carolina.
He was convicted on a first-degree murder charge over the killing of George Radcliffe. Months after the trial, a teenage eyewitness for the state recanted her testimony.
It still took over two decades for Mr Sharpe to be exonerated and released from prison.

Pastor Chris Amadi Pastor of Shalom Mercy Ministry based in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State is now in police custody after he allegedly strangled his 30 – year old wife.

Amadi had allegedly attempted to run away after he committed the murder, but he was arrested.
Family sources told journalists that the incident happened on Tuesday, November 9 in their home at Mbodo Community, Aluu, after a disagreement over fees payment in his wife’s school, Solution International School, named after her.
The School was reportedly established by the late Solution before her marriage to the Pastor in 2012.

According to reports, troubled started when Solution confronted Amadi on why he drove some pupils of her school away from the classroom over failure to pay their school fees without first checking their records with her.
Solution’s elder brother, Odinaka Opurum, said his now deceased sister felt embarrassed when the affected parents started calling to complain about her husband’s action.
“The husband went to the school (Tuesday November, 9) and started driving pupils away for allegedly failing to pay school fees. When parents now called the wife to ask why she drove their kids away even after paying, she appealed they should not be angry that she will find out from her husband.

“When she got to the house, they started quarreling again and the husband started beating her. He then started to strangled her to the point when she collapsed and became unconscious.
“When he saw that she was no longer breathing, he rushed her to a clinic close to their house, the clinic confirmed her dead and referred him to UPTH to be sure. Instead of taking her to UPTH as they advised, he took her to the house, covered her with wrapper, packed some clothes in a bag, locked all the doors and attempted to run away.”
Her brother also said, the incident was not the first time the Amadi would beat his sister. He said it has been recurring and his sister out of love and as the marriage Counselor in their church, decided to endure in order not to set a bad example for young girls.

Her family is currently seeking justice.
The marriage between the Pastor Amadi and Solution which was solemnized in 2012 was blessed with children, two boys and two girls.
Various sources in their neighbourhood confirmed the incident. But at the time of filing this report, the Rivers Police Command had not issued a press statement on the matter.

He mentioned members of his gang as Dele Petim, Samuel and Bunmi.

A suspected Judas who is an Air Force Officer has been arrested in the Adamawa State Capital, Yola, over the deadly attack on Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna in August.

The Officer is identified as Sergeant Torsabo Solomon, was picked up on Monday and flown to Kaduna for further investigations.
The military University in Kaduna was hit by a surprise attack in August when two officers were killed.

Solomon, who was on service attachment with Air Force Comprehensive School Yola, was arrested on Monday morning, The Nation learnt.

The communication further indicates that Sergeant Solomon was picked up on the request of the NDA management over the attack on the institution.
The written communication on the arrest reads: “On 08 Nov 21, at about 0600hr, NAF07/ 23922, SGT Torsobo Solomon of 153 BSG (AIRFORCE COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL YOLA) was arrested on the order of the Base Commander as requested by the NDA Commander for an offence connecting with arms and ammunition with recent bandit attack at NDA Kaduna.”

A separate communication, on the airlift of the suspect from Yola, reads: “At about 0815hr , ATR with reg no NAF 930 to arrive flight line to convey him from Yola to NDA KADUNA for further interrogation.”
fresh development about this incident which was reported by SaharaReporters on Monday, November 8, 2021 disclosed that a Nigerian Air Force officer, Sergeant Torsobo Solomon, was arrested in connection with the attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna. Also it was found that Solomon possessed arms and ammunition which linked him to the bandits.
From this report, comes two questions and even more that Solomon needs to answer.

Firstly, how did he get illegal arms and ammunition?
Well, as military personnel, it is believed that all officers have their own gun provided by the Nigerian Army. But, possession of arms other than what you were provided is illegal. If that is the case, Solomon needs to tell us how he got those arms and ammunition. Without mincing words, it could even be that he supplies arms for bandits and kidnappers.

The next question is, who does he work for and what's their aim for attacking NDA?
This is crucial as I believe that Solomon is not alone in this game. He has other accomplice who could either be his colleagues or outsiders. I believe that Solomon and his cohorts have a bigger aim for attacking NDA. Just as the Nigerian military did a great job of apprehending this betrayal, it is important that Solomon be made to provide answers to these questions.
While Nigerians must commend our honest security operatives doing a great job in tackling insecurity, it is desired that those with important information report to the right agency.

Popular Nollywood Actress, Chioma Ifemeludike has confessed why she opened up on her alleged sexual affair with the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman.

The actress-cum-producer, who has been in the Nollywood industry for nine years, revealed that she had no idea that the cleric was quite prominent at the time she allegedly had an intercourse with him.

She recalled that the first deal of her encounter of romp sex with the man of God was sealed through a hookup by another lady, Linda Clems, noting that the second time, she clearly recognised him because they exchanged numbers during the first romp and communicated thereafter.
In the interview, Ifemeludike also spoke about her pains, regrets, marriage plans and why she actually did what she claimed she did.
Speaking on how life had treated her since the confession, the actress said, “Life has been great. Even though, in the first few days after the confession that went viral, the backlash kind of affected my mental health. But because I’m this kind of person who looks on to God and not man, I’ve always been very attached to God, so it wasn’t difficult for me to find my feet spiritually, mentally and physically.

Speaking on her reception by her colleagues in the movie industry, she said, “I am not holding anything against them. People have their personal beliefs, faiths, decisions and characters, because we came from different homes and areas of life. People know what they know. People are people, so I don’t blame them.
“That’s how they felt and it’s their way of expressing what they felt. I didn’t even expect it because when you expect something, you could get disappointed. I knew that I was not going to get support from Nollywood, and that if I did, it’s going to be very few people who are going to say, ‘Oh… I know Chioma, she did this and I think it’s worth it’.
“But I wasn’t surprised at all and I don’t hold anything against anybody, nothing! I totally understand their position and like I told one of them, ‘what I did was bigger than anybody, and anyone who feels bad about it, I’ll let them. But with time everyone will understand.’”
On whether she was truly trying to extort money from Suleman as alleged in some quarters, the actress stated, “That’s laughable. The people who know me know that money does not freak me. What freaks me is character. Money and power do not move me. I need money but money is not everything. There’s a way I see life and there are things I value more than money. Extort who?

“The first money was N250,000 and it was split because it was Linda Clems that gave that part to me. The second was the one he (Apostle Suleman) gave me directly and that was N300,000. So, it’s a total of N550,000.
“I can give the money back to him, to his (church) members or to the society, but I need to be sure that it’s the right thing to do. So, that’s not a big deal. If that will help for the evil done, the evil of adultery with a man of God, if that is going to help for God to have mercy, why not? I’ll gladly to do it.”
On the reaction of her fiancé to her confession, she noted, “My fiancé was quite supportive because he was the first person I confessed to; I told him everything and many more.

However, my family was tough, the calls and questions like ‘how can you do this?’ came up; everyone was angry. But I thank God for our spiritual leader who told them that it was good that I confessed. He said it might not be good for man but it’s good for God as He approves of it.”

Speaking at an event organised by the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) on July 4, 2021, Matthew Ashimolowo, Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London, said Osibona came to him for divine consultation on where he should take his investments to.
Ashimolowo said he first met Osibona in 2001 when he came to preach at an event organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

According to him, the developer sought him after listening to his teachings on salvation and wealth creation.
“After listening to my tapes, he built 12 apartments in London, sold eight, kept four. Then he came to me again and said, ‘pastor Matthew, lay hands on me; where should I go again?’ After I’d laid hands the first time, he said ‘where should I go again? I want to go to South Africa; please pray for me.’ I prayed for him,” he said.

Popular gospel singer popularly known as Yinka Alaseyori has reacted to the rumour of her death under the collapsed 21-Storey building situated in Ikoyi, Lagos.

It would be recalled that the lead singer was with the owner of the building, Femi Osibona on the 21st Floor before the tragedy of the collapse occured on November 1, 2021 that claimed the lives of Osibona and many others.
Many months ago, the owner of the building, Femi Osinbona, organized a praise and prayer session on the property while it was still under construction. Yinka was invited and she led a praise and worship session there.

Shortly after the building collapsed on Monday, November 1, a video of Yinka singing on the property surfaced online. Some of her fans thought she was one of the casualties in the unfortunate incident. Yinka then took to her Instagram page to debunk the claim. She wrote;
''I have seen a few tags on the video of my last visit to the collapsed Ikoyi building and some DM’s inquiring about my safety.
Please note that the video is not recent and i wasn’t there at the time of the unfortunate incident.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has communicated with his legal counsels, directing them to initiate legal actions against an online publication by Sahara Reporters which allegedly linked him to the high rise building that collapsed in Lagos state, recently.

The Vice-President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has denied any link with Chief Michael Ade. Ojo, Chairman of Elizade Motors; who allegedly sold the land to him.
Osinbajo has directed his legal counsel to institute a legal action against an Online Media, Sahara Reporters publication which allegedly linked him to the high rise building that collapsed in Lagos state, recently In a statement by his Media Aide, Laolu Akande.
Osinbajo however condoled with the families and relatives of all those who have died, were injured or affected in the collapse, saying he considers this painful loss of lives a horrible tragedy.

Debunking the publication on Friday, he said, ” the attention of the Vice President has been drawn to an obviously sponsored falsehood regarding the recently collapsed building published by Sahara Reporters on November 4th, 2021, to the effect that: The VP owns the land upon which the collapsed building in Ikoyi stood.
“That the said land was sold to him by Chief Michael Ade. Ojo, Chairman of Elizade Motors; and that the Vice President, at some point, intervened with the regulatory authorities in Lagos State to unseal the said property.
“Let it be made absolutely clear that Prof. Yemi Osinbajo does not own and has never owned the said land. He has also never been involved, in any shape or form, in the development of this or any other land since he became Vice President.

“Also, the Vice President has never spoken to the Governor of Lagos State or any other official of the State Government regarding the unsealing of the said building on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, which subsequently collapsed. He has, indeed, never acted to influence any other regulatory action on the collapsed building, or any other building for that matter, in Lagos State.

“The Vice President restates categorically that he has no interest whatsoever, and has never had any interest, either legally or beneficially, in the land, the building or development.
“The wickedness and viciousness of a lie that seeks to utilise a tragedy where so many people have lost their lives, even as rescue efforts are ongoing, and in wanton disregard to the feelings and untold grief of their loved ones for political gain, reveals a dangerous desperation, as well as the heartlessness of the perpetrators of such despicable lies.
“Sahara Reporters were undoubtedly well rewarded for their criminal and inhumane conduct. Typical of a hatchet job and deliberately irresponsible journalism, the publication was not signed by anyone.
“The Vice President has referred this disgraceful publication to his lawyers for prompt legal action”.

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a devil incarnate husband, Mojiyagbe Olamilekan who resides at Oke Ola in Ode Remo, Ogun State for allegedly stabbing his wife to death with scissors.

DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the State Police Public Relations Officer, made the disclosure in a statement issued on Wednesday, in Abeokuta.
Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested following a distress call received by the police in Ode Remo Divisional Headquarters at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
He said the Police received the alert that the suspect locked himself and his wife, Seun Mojiyagbe up in their room, and started beating her.

“It was the wailing of the wife that attracted the neighbours, who tried all efforts to persuade the suspect to open the door but he refused.
“Upon the distress call, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ode Remo Division, CSP Olayemi Fagbohun, quickly mobilised his men and moved to the scene where the door to the couple’s apartment was forced opened.
“The victim was met lying down unconscious in the pool of her own blood. She was quickly rushed to the State Hospital in Isara Remo where she was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty,” he said.

Oyeyemi added that the husband was promptly arrested and taken to custody, saying the corpse of the victim had been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.
He further said the Commissioner of Police in the State , Lanre Bankole, ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for investigation and prosecution.

The controversies on who owned the 21-Storey collapsed building that has claimed the lives of 36 people comprising of 33 men and three females still lingers.

A probe panel was also set up by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who equally gave indefinite suspension order to the General Manager, Gbolahan Oki.
The following is the angle of the Vice-President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo on who actually owned the property in a detailed report by Sahara Reporters,
,"On Monday the building located on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos collapsed with a yet-to-be-ascertained number of persons still trapped beneath the rubble.
SaharaReporters earlier reported on Thursday that no fewer than 36 persons have been confirmed dead at the site of the collapsed 21-storey building.
The rescue and emergency personnel have evacuated nine persons alive from the debris of the fallen building.

The survivors comprised eight males and one female, while the fatalities had three females and 33 males.
Different sources on Tuesday told SaharaReporters that the landed property was bought by Osinbajo from Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, founder of Elizade Motors (Elizade Nigeria Limited) shortly after he became the Vice President.
“Osinbajo is linked to the property, that house that collapsed on Monday in Lagos State. I was aware when he got the landed property from Elizade. A woman was selling food at the place before, that was where all workers and labourers working around here do eat,” a facility manager told SaharaReporters.
“The Vice President has a lot of properties in the area, he is using his brother to manage the properties. The developer, Femi Osibona is only fronting for him. Osinbajo even bought another property for his brother in the area, it’s at Mosley Street. The brother is the one managing it personally, he comes there almost every time.
“If the Lagos State Government is serious, they should tell us who owns the land."

The developer's brother, Lanre Osibona was Senior Special Assistant to the President on ICT from May 2015 to December 2019.
Speaking to SaharaReporters, another source said, “I know the land was bought by the Vice President from Elizade. I can’t really say maybe he sold it to Osibona. I know when the land was bought. That’s where we do eat.”
“I know he owns the land, what are you expecting, so you expect a whole Vice President to put his name in such project. He can never put his name, Femi Osibona, Fourscore Managing Director is only a front in this project. The Vice President wanted the project to finish before 2023,” another source told SaharaReporters.
A staff member of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) told SaharaReporters that there ‘was an order from above’ not to visit the building during monitoring.

He wondered why the General Manager of the agency, Gbolahan Oki, was suspended and the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr Idris Salako not punished.
“Why the GM? The man that just assumed office, what about the commissioner that passes through the road everyday on his paper tiger monitoring? Let the governor suspend him and his PS as well,” he said.
“I know the building is owned by a top government official, the man in question, Osibona was only fronting for that government official. We received an order from above to stop going to the site during monitoring. I heard the Vice President intervened when the project was sealed off early in the year but I can’t say maybe he is the owner. Don’t forget they are both from Ikenne in Ogun State.”
According to Highbrow Living Magazine, the collapsed property, comprising four-bedroom maisonettes, flats, duplex and penthouses, was 65 percent sold out.

The price range for the apartment is also said to be between $1.2 million and $5 million.
“The 20-floor strictly residential facility is the brain works of Fourscore Homes, evolving from a desire to build an original masterpiece. The concept is to have service flats in the three towers for residents to experience a stress-free lifestyle, complete with a hotel flair with a 360-degree view of Lagos state,” the magazine reads.
The structure was said to be 80 percent completed and was billed to be concluded in 2022.
In an interview with THISDAY, Osibona had said the project was supposed to be the first of its kind in Nigeria.
“This development will give peace of mind and comfort to the residents, because everything works,” he had said.
“We have exhibited our expertise in property development in the United Kingdom, South Africa, the United States of America and Nigeria. Fourscore Homes possesses uncommon capabilities in redefining property development in any market we choose to play in.

“I was one of the people whose real estate developments led to the growth of East London. I bought a house on New Cross Road and renovated it. I also bought a piece of land behind it and built two flats there, and that is what I will call my first real estate project. That was how I started building houses for sale.”
Despite initial denial, SaharaReporters gathered that the Lagos State Government only approved the construction of 15 storeys for the collapsed building.
There have been controversies over the actual structure approved for construction after the building collapsed on Monday, leaving at least 22 people dead.
On Monday, Oki, the suspended general manager of LASBCA had claimed that the government approved 15 floors for the 21-storey building.

“He got approval for a 15-storey building and he exceeded his limit. I am on the ground here and the materials he used are so inferior and terrible,” Oki had said.
But addressing journalists at the site of the collapsed building on Tuesday, Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor, said the owner of the building got approval for 21 floors.
He had said, “This particular one was approved for 21 floors, not 15. If you count, the second building was 14 or 15. The approval was done about three years ago, it is not something new, it is the construction that failed apparently from what we can see."
Hamzat also confirmed the earlier sealing of the building by the state government over poor construction.
He had added: “It was sealed from June. It was sealed because the agency came in to do a structural test, they saw some abnormalities, so they shut it down for those things to be corrected
“They were taking corrective actions when this (collapse) happened."

In a document, obtained by SaharaReporters, however, it was revealed that only 15 floors were actually approved for the project.
The Development Permit, dated April 2019, was approved by the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) on 09/04/2019.
It reads partly, “For Fourscore Height Limited, 44 B,C,D Gerrard Road, Ikoyi. Permission under the provisions of the Lagos State Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law 2010 Physical Development Regulations to erect a residential 15 floors building at 44 B, C, D Gerrard Road, Ikoyi (West)."
It further said, "(a) The Planning Permit granted shall become invalid where development has (2) years of the grant of such permit unless the permit is revalidated by the Authority.
“(b) Every developer shall, on the procurement of his permit proceed to Lagos State Building Control Agency, to give notice of his or her intention to commence Development at Oba Akinjobi Way, Old Secretariat, GRA, Ikeja.
“(c) The Subject site shall be clearly demarcated in accordance with the site plan and be made ready for Development. (d) The developer must complete Form C at all stages of construction and submit the same to Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA).
“(e) Non Compliance with the approved planning permit as designed will void the permit, and the development will be regarded as illegal.
“(f) The Developer shall engage the services of relevant registered professionals in the construction and supervision of the building, and submit the particulars of the professionals to LABSCA. (g) A developer of any building above two (2) floors shall insure his/her liability in respect of construction risks and submit a Certified True Copy (C.T.C) of such Insurance Policy Certification with his/her Development Permit to LASBCA
“(h) The owner of the building shall not occupy or permit same to be occupied before obtaining a certificate of fitness for habitation from Lagos State Building Control Agency stating that the building is fit for human habitation.
“Failure to comply with any of the above conditions shall attract necessary sanctions on the building in line with the provisions of the extant law.”

On Monday, tragedy brought Femi Osibona into the news. For some Nigerians, he is the owner of the 21-storey building that collapsed in Ikoyi, Lagos. Before the unfortunate incident, he was perhaps mostly known to members of the upper class in society. But there is more to this developer who was on the verge of building the first of its kind luxury apartment in Nigeria.
WHO IS FEMI OSIBONA?
Olufemi Adegoke Osibona (Femi Fourscore) is a native of Ikenne, Ogun state. The sexagenarian is the Managing Director of Fourscore Homes, a real estate development firm.
He attended Mayflower School in Ikenne before heading for Croydon University in the United Kingdom to study business and finance for his HND.

‘BUILT BY DIVINE CONSULTATION’
Speaking at an event organised by the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) on July 4, 2021, Matthew Ashimolowo, senior pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London, said Osibona came to him for divine consultation on where he should take his investments to.
Ashimolowo said he first met Osibona in 2001 when he came to preach at an event organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
According to him, the developer sought him after listening to his teachings on salvation and wealth creation.
“After listening to my tapes, he built 12 apartments in London, sold eight, kept four. Then he came to me again and said, ‘pastor Matthew, lay hands on me; where should I go again?’ After I’d laid hands the first time, he said ‘where should I go again? I want to go to South Africa; please pray for me.’ I prayed for him,” he said.

“Ladies and gentlemen, he went to South Africa and built 125 houses in the highbrow area of Centurion, next door to Johannesburg. He broke through exponentially.
“Then, he calls me and says: ‘where are you, sir? I want to come to you.’ I said ‘I’m in Ghana preaching’. He jumps on a plane and flies to Ghana from South Africa. He comes and says ‘where should I go again?’ I said, ‘look, I’m not your financial adviser. Go and meet your financial adviser.’ He said ‘you’re doing better than them.’ So, I laid hands on him, prayed for him and I said ‘go to Nigeria, your country’.
“They call him Femi Fourscore. Femi comes to Lagos, boom, he buys a land in Ikoyi and builds 40 apartments and sold each one for like a million dollars.
“As I am talking to you right now, in fact, this morning, Femi sent me a video. He’s building I think three towers together on Alexander. We know Ikoyi. One is 14 floors, one is 16 floors, one is 21 floors.

FROM SELLING SHOES TO INTERNATIONAL REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT
In a 2019 interview with THISDAY, Osibona said he sold shoes and suits as far back as 1991 before venturing into real estate development six years later.
“I started selling shoes in July, 1991 after I finished my HND in the UK, and later sold suits but I stopped in 1998 and I started real estate development and purchase of property in 1997. I also noticed that many Nigerians at that time were reluctant to go into construction but I believed anything was possible with God on my side,” Osibona said.
“I built over 50 projects in London and Manchester and from there, went to South Africa where I built a number of estates.
“In all the projects abroad, we buy land and develop and I am the builder, I don’t engage any builder. I was in Atlanta for only four months before I decided to buy land. It is the same procedure in housing development and if you have done it in one country, then you can do it in another because it is the same principle.”

According to Ashimolowo, Osibona had also sold shirts and ties in Abuja.

“This guy used to sell shirts and ties in Abuja. I just told you he supplied me. He didn’t even have the shirt and tie; he went to others to get for me during that crisis journey. Now, he has three towers. I’m even wondering who should be laying hands on whom,” the pastor said.

Osibona said his company is a member of the NHBRC (National Home Builders Registration Council) in South Africa and Zurich Building Guarantee in Europe.
“We have exhibited our expertise in property development in the United Kingdom, South Africa, the United States of America and Nigeria. Fourscore Homes possesses uncommon capabilities in redefining property development in any market we choose to play in,” he said.

MAN OF MANY FIRSTS
Osibona started his real estate business in London in 1997. He is said to be the first African developer to construct a seven-storey building, located at 113, Albion Drive, London Fields, E8, 4LZ, in East London. He then moved to South Africa in 2009 where he built six luxury units of houses called Fourscore Mansions in Waterkloof, Pretoria.
“I was one of the people whose real estate developments led to the growth of East London. I bought a house on New Cross Road and renovated it. I also bought a piece of land behind it and built two flats there, and that is what I will call my first real estate project. That was how I started building houses for sale. Renowned Juju music maestro, Ebenezer Obey visited the property when he was in London,” he said.
Osibona said, 360 Degrees Towers, the ill-fated structure, was designed to be the first of its kind in Nigeria, and that the structure “will give peace of mind and comfort to the residents, because everything works”.

A FRIEND OF THE MOMODUS
Osibona is friends with a number of renowned Nigerians including Dele Momodu and Abdulrosheed Akanbi, Oluwo of Iwo.
Momodu often shares pictures and videos of Osibona on his social media handles. On Tuesday, Momodu shared a video of his wife, Mobolaji in the company of Osibona and three Italians, at the top floor of the now collapsed building.
“MOBOLAJI and I have been inundated with calls from families, friends and others asking if we were fine… We thank everyone for their concerns but we can’t be exactly fine when we have friends and staff who are still being rescued from the site of the building collapse,” Momodu captioned the video.
‘RUN AFTER GOD IF YOU WANT TO BE RICH’
Osibona
Osibona is an evangelist and a philanthropist. He is a member of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) and a lover of the pulpit.
Speaking with CelestialOvation Talk Show in December 2018 on how he became a member of CCC, Osibona said he lost his job in 1987 and was invited to the church by a cousin.

“In 1987 I was sacked from where I was working in London and that was what made me to join the church. It was a cousin of mine in London, Ade Awosanya, that took me to the church. I went to him, I didn’t want to lose my job, believing something will happen. He took me to the church and by the grace of God, coming to the church, I met Jesus,” he said.
In another video posted by RCCG, he said anyone who wants to be rich should run after God and not just depend on pastors.
“I want you to understand the point that many people do not understand, I think 98 percent of Christians do not understand. Millionaire in dollars, the man said ‘I speak to God in the night and God speaks to me’. I held that point. Millionaire dey talk to God?
“If you want to be rich if you want to be great as a Christian I advise you run after God, decide to know God for yourself. All these prophets, all these pastors, if you don’t decide to know God for yourself, they will come to you and give you message. It is true they heard from God o, but they will manipulate you.”

The collapsed structure in Ikoyi
For Osibona, the collapse of his building in Ikoyi is not the first time his structures will suffer damage. In his talk with CelestialOvation Talk Show, Osibona narrated how four of his 24 flats in Atlanta, Georgia, were razed, but the incident turned out to be a blessing for him.
“In an area in America, Atlanta to be precise, I had an apartment of 24 flats and four of them caught fire. By the time the insurance were going to pay me, I was worried I was sad. The money they give to me for four flats was more than what I used to buy the whole 24,” he said.
“Later I sold the remaining 20 that are standing. The difference in what the insurance paid me and what I sold the remaining 20 flats is not up to 10%.
“So, a house that caught fire brought blessing. There is a way God is involved in our lives we need to let people know when problems come, when you are a Christian, you go to God. He is a master converter; God converts problem to Joy.”

Osibona is reported to have been inside the building when it collapsed and is allegedly still trapped beneath the rubbles. His family, friends and well-wishers are but hoping that as he believed, God will convert this incident to joy.

The deceased, whose wedding is slated for December was employed to work as a Personal Assistant (PA), just few days before the unfortunate incident occurred.
According to a source, “Onyinye was one of the people trapped in the collapsed building.
Her corpse was found this Wednesday, November 3, 2021.

She lived at Ago Palace Way, Okota in Isolo, she was offered accommodation in Ikoyi because of the distance and also, a monthly salary of N150k.
Her wedding is coming on this December, her family has even given the husband’s family their list.
May her soul Rest in Peace.”

A young man identified as Wale Bob-Oseni was among the casualties who died in the ill-fated 21-Storey building that collapsed in Ikoyi on November 2, 2021.

Bob-Oseni who is a Real Estate Dealer and Executive Director of African Bureau for Legislative Empowerment was said to be on his way to USA when his friend, a Developer and the owner of the building, Femi Osibona invited him to come and see the development of the project when the incident occured..
The building collapsed with Bob-Oseni and Osibona inside, and they are now presumably dead after 48 hours of rescue efforts.

Dele Momodu, former Presidential candidate and publisher, who was close to both of them, told TheCable on Wednesday that both men were his “aburos” — an affectionate term for younger friends.

The video was taken some months ago by a church that wanted to use the video to raise funds for the school.

Scores were trapped in a 20 storey building collapse in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State on Monday, November 1, 2021.

It was learnt that the incident happened a few minutes past 2 pm. 
In SOS message available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, http://www.sojworldnews.com the message reads,
"A 20-storey building under construction has just collapsed on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi. Scores trapped in the rubble. @⁨‪+234 803 205 6983‬⁩ I cannot reach you. Please deploy a crew to the location immediately. The building is just after the Onikoyi Road (old Turnbull Road junction."
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Agency, Nosa Okunbo, confirmed the collapse, saying, “A 25-storey building collapsed by Musliu Junction, Ikoyi, Lagos. LASEMA is on top of the situation.”
Also, the Director-General of LASEMA, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, noted that heavy-duty equipment and life detection equipment have been deployed to the scene.

While giving an update, Oke-Osanyintolu said, “Collapsed Building at Gerard Road, Ikoyi: The agency has activated its emergency response plan to the above incident.
“All first responders are en route to secure the scene while the heavy-duty equipment and life detection equipment have been dispatched.”

Meanwhile, the Structural Engineer wrote a formal letter withdrawing their services as a Structural Engineer to the builders in a letter dated February 20, 2020 because they can no longer guarantee the materials used after the fourth floor supervised by them.

Veteran NNollywood Actor, Joshua Johnson is dead of an undisclosed sickness.
The actor reportedly died on Thursday and his death has sent sadness to the entire Nollywood family.
Abel Alechenu, his colleague announced the actor’s dead on his Instagram page, saying he was devastated by the sad news.

A Presidential aspirant and card-carrying member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bobby Ezra Tochukwu Ukadike has accused Nigeria’s ruling political party, the APC and the nation’s major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of acting in a manner capable of breaking up the country into fragments.

Chief Ukadike who is also, the National Leader of Nigeria’s new emerging political party, Special All Party Comrades (SAPC) in an interview with newsmen, pointed out what he called calculated scheme by the nation’s two major political parties, the APC and PDP to ensure that the Presidential seat is either retained by the North or shifted to the Southwest of Nigeria, to the disadvantage of Southeast geo-political zone.
“This is pure politics of deliberate exclusion against the Igbo race.Chief Bobby Ukadike, an indigene of Abba Community of Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State cautioned against the move to rob the people of Southeast of the presidential seat in 2023.
“From all indications, the PDP which has already zoned the party’s National Chairmanship to the North via former Senate President, Iyorchia Ayo has also concluded plans to adopt Abubakar Atiku as the party’s Presidential candidate in 2023 while, the ruling APC which presently, has Muhammadu Buhari, a Northerner of Fulani extraction as President on its part, is scheming to either retain the Presidential seat in the North or hand it over to someone of Southwest or South-South origin without any consideration for Igbos or people of Southeast zone.

This is a dangerous calculation that is bound to scatter the unity of oneness of Nigeria”,
Chief Ukadike stated.
Asking Nigerians to hold APC and PDP responsible for whatever calamity that might befall Nigeria if justice and equity fail to prevail in 2023.
Bobby Ukadike who proudly wears the Chieftaincy titles of Apiti Ndigbo and Dankano of Nigeria asserted,
“I love my country, Nigeria and I am of the opinion that anything capable of destroying or threatening the unity of this great country should be resisted. The only way to strengthen the oneness of Nigeria is through justice and equity because, what is good for the goose is also good for the gander”.

Continuing, the Dankano of Nigeria explained thus, “the Igbos, I mean the people of Southeast who are now agitating for self-rule as a result of marginalisation should be treated the way the Yorubas, people of Southwest were treated in 1999 when all political parties were made to select their Presidential candidates from Southwest. This arrangement gave birth to Obasanjo becoming Nigeria’s President. It is an irony of fate that those presently at the helm of affairs are not talking about the interest of Igbos, despite their agitations”.
He stressed that under a just and equitable system, the 2023 Presidential seat should be zoned to Southeast.
“The only way to stop all agitations for cessation and self determination is to allow Igbos produce the nation’s President in 2023. If this happens, agitations for Biafra and Oduduwa Republic will cease, because an Ibo President will arrest injustice, deprivations, insecurity and unite the country.

It is only the APC and PDP that can decide which area the Presidential seat will go. The two major parties are aware of the problems confronting Nigeria and how such problems can be solved without blood shed.
Therefore, if anything unfortunate happens in 2023, Nigerians should hold APC and PDP responsible. 
2023 Presidency is the turn of the Igbos for equity and justice to reign in the Nigeria." Chief Bobby Ukadike concluded.
