Nairaland GeneralS-76 Chopper Ban Lifted. by Soknown(op): 7:08pm On Mar 06, 2016
Just saw it in the conventional media that the ban imposed on Sirkosky S-76 fleet has been lifted, meaning the chopper can start plying our airspace, not surprised though because when the BGD crashed in August last year same thing happened. So sad.

My Caucasian ahepherd dog at 2 months went oout under the gate and had to go looking for her the next morning saw her in a compound on the next road. Now my six months old rotwiller went out from under the gate to go fight other dogs n still comes back home.

I seriously feel she has been stolen or killed. Dogs really dont get lost especially at that age unless the dog has followed a pack to be with them and will still come back home
I don't really know, but who would steal an adult dog ? and for what ?, It's more than 48 hours now and she has not returned.

PetsRe: My pitbull, Bella Is Dead by Soknown: 8:40pm On Jan 12, 2016
So sorry for the loss, what could have caused that hole in her chest, did she fight with other dogs or may be she fell over a sharp object or stabbed by wicked souls.

So sorry for your loss. My pitbull bella died today..I'm so sad, I don't know how to get over it. I also live in mowe.
Oh, sorry to hear that. Time heals all, you will get over it. Tell us about Bella and what killed her, may be by writing 'bout her you will get some closure and please don't rush to get another dog. I waited for 3 months after walker died before I procured Skipper and Flyer.

Aaaaaaw sorry bro , I pray she comes back or someone finds her .

There are two possible options
1. Either it was stolen
2. It got lost

Ira easy, If it was stolen ask people around your area if they see your dog run out or if a car drove in while u were away or did it follow anyone .
If it got lost ask people close to the road if anyone found a dog .
Do you walk her ? If yes it might be easy to trace back her steps if no it will be a little bit hard cos dogs on the road hardly leave a track while running
They have searched the neighborhood to no avail, I haven't walked her in a long while.

“I challenge those who persist in lies and character assassination to call the phone number on the back of the 2kg bags and confirm the producer of these bags. Common sense which is lacking in the life of political thieves could have revealed that rice stored for over a year would be prey to weevils and clearly not suitable for human consumption.”

That part thou... cheesy
This reminds me of #Americawillknow of blessed memory. The level of ignorance in our leaders could be very nauseating sometimes. What about those 15 years stored Thai rice or 10 years stored Vietnam rice that we import annually, are they infested with weevils.

I got one tan colored GSD before this set of a male and female, Walker. She died of possibly shampoo poisoning in November 2012. Now Flyer ran for no reason without any history of maltreatment. Don't know really if I am missing something. It is well. #Nomoreloss.
PetsSo Sad, Flyer Ran Away Yesterday. by Soknown(op): 6:59am On Jan 11, 2016
I got a disturbing news yesterday that my female dog, flyer got outside the fence and ran away for no reason. Flyer is a GSD, 2 years, 9 months old, would have been 3 years by April this year. Her pictures is in one of the show your dog threads. My wife said she could not find her in the house when she came back from the church yesterday, she informed me in the night and I tried not to think about so that it would not disturb my sleep but it did actually. I am writing this to let off the steam. I hope she comes back. She is not on heat but she has always been highly temperamental, shy sometimes, aggressive sometimes towards visitors. she is picky about foods unlike skipper that eats all and anything, she is neat and has never mated. I pray she comes back. I am already missing her instinctive barking and charging.

Its interesting, doesnt seem like Nigeria/west Africa has much of that though, we dont hear about marine wildlife there.
I think it's all government fault, Our government have always been interested in the oil below the seabed only, and virtually neglected the robust sea life within our international waters.

You can, try and mix in equal proportion... Also create avenue to be able to feed the sacks with waste water from fish ponds. Ugu depends heavily on nitrogen which needs to be replenished regularly.
Okay, I will do that. Thanks.

Hi @ organicfoods, I intend to grow pumpkin with this method but can I use sawdust parked from a poultry pen instead of worm cast sand, or can I mix the saw dust with sand ?.

I also use pureit water filtration but the water that comes out tastes a little salty. I noticed that the source water (from the borehole) is the source of the salt. So now I only use it to cook. I would have been happy if it removes sodium.
Wow that is a new one, The carbon filter and the polisher should be able to remove all taste n color, Please call their customer care to see if there is a remedy.

EducationRe: Terrible Insect Causes Havoc In Unibadan, All Hall Of Residence[PHOTOS] by Soknown: 3:56pm On Nov 15, 2015
This is an Acid Bug or called Papa bug by Mariners.
Background:
Several varieties of Acid Bugs are native to West Africa. In the Harmattan season (fall) when prevailing winds are out of the north, these flying insects invade drilling rigs, vessels and platforms working on and off the coast of Nigeria and these days some land locations.
They fly on the facility, jettison their wings and crawl around looking for prey.
The bodies of these insects contain an anhydride named “Cantharidin” that causes a blistering and burning sensation to any part of the human body that is exposed to it when crushed.
The solution is, if you found any on you, Just flick don't swat. Check your clothings when you arrived home from outings, check your seat before you sit down.(on lighter note, Imagine sitting on one of these, as a man the balls would fry up.)

Thanks alot everyone i have had some weight lifted from reading all your comments. .
Well I pray God see you through. You have taken the first step by moving out back to your parents. Now concentrate on your health, your baby and your study. secondly start to document everything, your calls, outings, happenings etc. on a third note If he by any means threatens you, please inform the police. Reason - he has seen you as his sustenance physically, emotionally and financially, if you take the sustenance away he might fight back. I have read on many occasion even on this forum Nurses being mauled down by their spouses ( May your case never be like that). As for the Extended vacation in Nigeria, it could be a good idea, may be when he sees how guys struggle with blood n sweat to get those things he takes for granted in UK he might have a re-think and re-appraise his life. Godspeed and Good luck.

Wow, 160km. That is longer than Lagos - Ibadan expressway shocked. Imagine a virgin rain forest longer than Lagos-Ibadan expressway, that is a sure badass revenue prospect for the government if properly harnessed. Ministry of tourism need to clean it up an make it accessible, provide security, get UNESCO world heritage site approval, give it more publicity locally and internationally. What an heritage.
