UAE development was not majorly precedent on external borrowing but on it's oil revenues. This was also unprecedented from it's tourism laws and tax holidays for businesses in the early 2000s.

However, the Persian Gulf War of 1990, in which Dubai as part of the UAE provided military aid to the coalition, unsettled the economy, but in the mid-1990s,it stabilised and many foreign trading communities moved their businesses to Dubai.

Global increases in oil prices allowed Dubai to focus on rapid development of key infrastructure. The success of the Jebel Ali free zone caused the development of clusters of new free zones, including Dubai Internet City(an internet technology area with ownership and tax related benefits), Dubai Media City(a tax-free zone to increase Dubai's presence in the worldwide media) and Dubai Maritime City, which will have many facilities, including waterfronts and harbours. But,in the past decades, Dubai has become known for its successful building projects, including the Burj Al Arab, the world's tallest freestanding hotel and these came from oil revenues.

Hope you do understand Dubai is just a state in UAE out of its 7 states and Abudhabi far outclasses Dubai in just about any infrastructure?!

During Dubai and UAE's development phase they maintained a 20 to 30 % debt to GDP rate, meaning they borrowed and funded projects with loans and paid back with sales of Oil proceed over time

You too go soon cry when time reach.

The only reason why you insult a stranger on a public forum is either of this facts

*You are damn scared of the outcome of the tribunal

*You got very bad home training

* You are in deep pain because you know what's coming

Pastor Ize Iyamu is going to the Election Petition Tribunals just as PDP did in Bayelsa and Zamfara, it's his fundamental rights so keep calm and watch

Funniest part about this lie is that lazy youth like you were not there to take the opportunity, it was still this old men already having a successful life still cashing out, including civil servants

You were making sense until you got to the emboldened.

Banks don't charge anyone for depositing with them.

Instead, they give depositors some interests that are very little

Stamp duty, ATM maintanance fees, cash withdrawal fees isn't that far more than the tiny interest you are talking about

Why did we prosper between 1999 and 2007 with relatively little debt increase then? You want to sell the idea that debt is needed to grow personally and nationally.

What prosperity are you talking about in the era of Nigeria jaga jaga everything scatter scatter?!

Was there light, wasn't there fuel scarcity that made us que for days in fueling stations, didn't we have riots, crisis and armed robbers, were many not dying daily on Lagos Ibadan expressway

Nigerians forget easily

white man goes to the bank to borrow money for his personal development through mortgage loan he pays back in 30 years, student loan for tuition in the best University, Car loan for a new car which he pays for in five years and sell the Tokunbo to Africans while getting another new one, Oyinbo government borrow 100% of their GDP to fix infrastructure and everyone pays back through tax

Black man goes to the bank to deposit and save his own money while banks get richer charging for saving with them (ATM fees, stamp duty, transfer fees), instead of getting a loan to develop, he sees loan as gbese, or haram

At a time UAE was borrowing every where to develop world class infrastructure in Dubai and Abudhabi promising to pay back with Oil and Tourism, Obasanjo, Atiku and Okonjo iweala the world bank spy went to give $12 billion of our money to IMF and World bank, claiming Debt relief, while IMF, world bank simply borrowed other developing countries since we are allergic to building Power Plants and love darkness, since we don't want to build refineries because it's our destiny to cue at fueling stations

2. That the APC led government has pocketed the judiciary such that they get every judgement to their favour.
3. That the only Justices in the Supreme Court are Kekere Ekun and Odili
4. That the Court of Appeal President is a stooge planted by the APC to do their biddings.

But it will not last forever.

Thanks for this exposé
