Pyrrho: that is a country where the people know they have the power, and final say...
we'll get there one day, naija.
Is Egypt the kind of country you want naija to emulate?

Craigb or whatever you are called,Nigeria is not broke.
The minister of finance rubbished the report.
And if i were you, i will stop quoting sahara reporters or premieum times.
Most Nigerians don't take them seriously as they are usually wrong most of the time.
Premium times and sahara reporters are not credible new sources.

ilugunboy: Stop this foolish argument ....nobody here is interested in your Aba and Onitsha...why is that difficult for you to comprehend?

This una complex problem is more than I thought ...
Nobody is interested in your agbara also.
We are just trying to correct the erroneous and highly ignorant statement of a state governor.
Politics › Re: Ogun State Gov. Ibikunle Amosun Boasts: Ogun Is More Industrialised Than Lagos by solomon111(m): 9:57pm On Jun 30, 2013
Aderostock: what about sango/otta, shagamu, magboru, mowe? you must be kidding!
sorry, i have been to all the places you mentioned and nothing there that can termed as INDUSTRIALIZATION.
The only place in ogun state where you have a semblance of industrialization is agbara.
Have you been to aba,Nnewi,onitsha?
Is the eastern region not refered to as " japan of africa" even by the FG officials?
Unless we want to deceive ourselves, Outside lagos(A huge recepient of FG foreign investment drive), the eastern region comes next in industrialization.
Amosu or whatever he is called, is just trying to deceive the gullible ogun state indigenes.

ilugunboy: Agreed completely with you....we don't want this "Anambra is better than Imo" kind of argument on any inch of Yorubaland.
well,we all know yorubas have a herd mentality unlike igbos who are highly competitive.
Little wonder,a criminal controls the whole SW region.
Politics › Re: Obama Pledges $7bn For Electricity In Nigeria, Others by solomon111(m): 9:41pm On Jun 30, 2013
I don't think the US govt is going to give out money to the Nigerian govt.
What they would do is to fund a power project themselves.
Btw,even obama has testified to the fact that Nigeria has set up ambitious power targets and is making the necessary reforms to make it possible.
The US govt wouldn't want to invest if they didn't see pragmatic effort by the Nigerian govt.
Thumbs up to GEJ.

Sky Rider: Unfortunately nigeria did not contribute to her success. In an interview she made it known that she gets her support from outside Nigeria.
That's why I will not fault the other Nigerian lady for running for team GB
That's very untrue.
Nigeria has always supported her, even she can't deny that.
I am going to be really pissed if the US steals her from us,though its unlikely as the Nigerian athletics board will fight tooth and nail not to let her go.
They should focus on their akatas and leave our talents for us.
Atleast countries like britain have stolen enough.
Politics › Re: Ogun State Gov. Ibikunle Amosun Boasts: Ogun Is More Industrialised Than Lagos by solomon111(m): 7:51pm On Jun 30, 2013
ilugunboy: Joke of the day!

The number of industries in Agbara alone dwarfs what you have both in the whole of Anambra ( Onitsha and Nnewi axis) and Abia ( only Aba)...with the privilege of my former job, I've been to both states and am certain about that.

Stop the ignorance..
Wtf are you saying?
The only place in ogun state that has "factories" is agbara and cannot be compared to aba atleast yet.
Nnewi and onitsha combined dwarfs agbara completely.

I wonder why people still waste time on GEJ'S known biased antagonists on NL.
They obviously don't care if the news article was miscontrued or false.
All they want is for the headlines to scream "anti-jonathan" and they will run with it.

Ogun state is definitely not the most industrialized state in Nigeria.
It still lags behind lagos, abia and anambara.
One of the reasons i detest my country Nigeria is that we believe in half measures.Nigeria is quick to forgive and forget. If Nigeria ever has a diplomatic row with a country that we benefit more from their relationship with us, they would have insisted on Nigeria paying all the fines, dues and levies accrued on that plane. But Nigeria let the Kenyans go scout free and i bet they are just about to repeat that episode again. Because they learnt no lessons.
I agree.
We should have been more forceful with them.
Situations like this where we forgive is what makes us the giant of africa, lol.

Politics › Re: Sorry, naijjaz But The Chinedu Move Will Bite You In The Ass by solomon111(m): 1:42pm On Jun 30, 2013
Actually kenya should be worried about making Nigeria an enemy.
The only thing kenya can do is to attack the properties of Nigerians living there while Nigeria will deal with kenya at the AU.
The case of ghadaffi comes to mind.

Nigeria once again, teaching savage africans, the art of diplomacy.
Jonathan should have sold that plane, atleast that's what these xenophobic semi-evolved african countries would have done.

Even ghana whose citizens may be uncouth sometimes respect Nigeria greatly.
Nigeria's stake and interest in ghana is enormous and their govt is usually appreciative of Nigeria.
Nigeria and ghana are like cousins.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by solomon111(m): 12:30pm On Jun 30, 2013
all4naija: They are very many. Benin, Togo and all West African countries excepting Ghana(that is manipulated by SA to continuously disrespect us) maybe Senegal doing that out of jealousy. In Southern Africa Zimbabwe holds Nigeria in high esteem reason Mugabe came to Nigeria for some spiritual help in the past. Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon just to mentioned but a few.

You are alluding to the fact that for any isolated incidence it means Nigeria is being hated. That is completely unacceptable and totally absurd to say the least.
Nigeria was just elected to represent africa in the UN non-permanent seat for the second time in three years.
Now that's what i call RESPECT.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by solomon111(m): 12:25pm On Jun 30, 2013

Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by solomon111(m): 12:18pm On Jun 30, 2013
CraigB: Listen here- if you can't pick a country, then don't tell me you're respected. There's no country that generally has good things but say about you lot. Anyway, if you want to be "general" like that, then tell me if Gadaffi was being respectful when he said you should split.

Two - you have no stats about Nigerians killed in South Africa because there aren't stats that support your story of thousands.

South Africa keeps stats. We aren't Nigeria.

You want to cry like you people always do wherever you go - exaggerating things. Typical, given you are used to speaking without any backup numbers. No culture of statistics in your dump of a country.

You people like saying things you can't support when called out. I should sleep. You're clearly another ranter who can't support his own arguments.

Good night.
Go and sleep.
You need it.

all4naija: When is Nigerian government going to develop something like these on the images below.

1.

A nuclear power plant - possibly in Japan.

2.

Nuclear missiles

3.

One of the most technologically advanced warship.

Btw,Who are the manufacturers of that awesome warship?
America?

A nuclear missile will attract sanctions unless they can be covert about it.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by solomon111(m): 11:56am On Jun 30, 2013
CraigB: Even simpler:

1. Pick a country! Where are you respected?

2. Give me numbers! Where are your hundreds that have been killed in SA?

3. Where have you contributed in SA, as opposed to being pests? Percentages please! Contribution vs infestation? Please.

Simple.
pick a country?
All african countries respect Nigeria, atleast their govts do.
2)Thousands have been killed.
3)so all those highly skilled Nigerian doctors, engineers, lecturers and professionals in SA are pests right?
You're a fool.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by solomon111(m): 11:52am On Jun 30, 2013
Sorry i meant Nigerians are respected not only in africa but in the world.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by solomon111(m): 11:49am On Jun 30, 2013
CraigB: Don't preach. Two simple things.

1. Since when does knowing one or two people that have been killed lead to the conclusion that hundreds of people have been killed?

Simple.

2. If you had a real country, don't you think you wouldn't be economic refugees/ drug peddlers/pimps in Hillbrow?

You'd command respect instead of ridicule. But because people know you've built nothing, they treat you like pests.

Name one nation that respects nigerians. Just one please.
1)Thousands of Nigerians have been killed and that's a fact and they will be avenged one day.
2)Nigeria is respected, not only in the world.
Nigeria currently represents Africa in many important world portfolios.
Nigeria commands far more respect and support in africa than southafrica.
Even Zuma respects Nigeria which is why he backed down during the yellow fever stuff.
You may not like Nigerians and Nigeria which is inconsequential, but there is always a silent respect.
The chinese are also not liked by many people but they are respected.
