Coach Olowookere does a good job by hand picking the best even from the grass root. That's why his team is full of quality players |

TheSuperNerd: Harmony scored 13 of this team's 25 goals in the Qualifiers. She is one of the several pearls in this team to keep keen eyes on without doubt.
I hope for a fine campaign from Bankole's girls. Hopefully they exceed the 3rd place finish at the last edition. Even if they qualify from that group which I know is very possible, they should be wary of who they meet in the quarter finals especially teams from Group B with the likes of Spain and Brazil. Well, let's first scale through the group stage |

Deltamani: German-born defender of Nigerian descent Victoria Ezebinyuo has confirmed that she's open to representing Nigeria at international level.
Born twenty-two years ago to a Nigerian father and German mother, she currently plies her trade with SC Freiburg.
Ezebinyuo who is a youth product of SC Freiburg, was a member of Germany U-17s squad that clinched the 2019 UEFA U-17 Women's Euros, playing three games for her country of birth against England, Austria and Portugal in that tournament held in Bulgaria.
Nonetheless, she qualifies to feature for Nigeria's senior national team, the Super Falcons, through her Nigerian dad, and has kept the door open for any opportunity in that regard.
Acknowledging the blend of youth and experience in the current national team set-up, Ezebinyuo stated that she is very much open to acquiring a Nigerian passport in order to don Nigeria's coveted green and white jersey.
"I would be interested in obtaining a second citizenship so that I can play for the Nigerian national team," she told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Having affirmed her intentions, the player also went on to disclose that there hasn't been any contact with the Nigeria Football Federation or with the team's handlers regarding the modalities that would facilitate a potential call-up. Are you sure coach Madugu and NFF will want any more foreign borns in Super Falcons with their recent policy of grooming homebase players? |

charlesemeka85: Former Super Eagles defender Sam Elijah has voiced his concerns regarding the potential of 22-year-old Benjamin Tanimu ahead of Nigeria's upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifier against Libya.
Tanimu is among the players selected for the crucial clash against the Mediterranean Knights, but he faces stiff competition from six other defenders included in the 23-man squad announced by interim manager Austin Eguavoen.
In an interview with allnigeriasoccer.com, Elijah expressed doubts about Tanimu's readiness and abilities, emphasizing that the young defender needs to demonstrate consistency and strong performances at the club level.
"For me, I am still having second thoughts about him. I am not too sure about him," Elijah stated.
"I think he needs to do more in playing matches for his club. We need to see him at the top of his game."
Elijah further articulated that being invited to the Super Eagles should not be seen as a privilege but rather a deserved recognition based on merit.
"It is not just about bringing people because of connection. No, he has to be a good player in his team, playing consistently and with confidence," he remarked.
Currently, Nigeria tops Group D with four points following a commanding 3-0 victory over Benin and a goalless draw against Rwanda in Kigali.
Tanimu recently joined League One club Crawley Town on a two-year contract from Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars.
However, since his move in September, he has yet to make an appearance for the Red Devils, raising further concerns about his potential as the Super Eagles prepare for their important qualifier against Libya.
With crucial games ahead, Tanimu will need to prove himself to secure a spot in the national team, especially as Nigeria aims to maintain its strong performance in the AFCON qualifiers. I heard that a strong politician and financier/fund raiser for the NFF is responsible for Tanimu's place in the SE |

codemaniacs: Cyriel Dessers, Tolu Arokodare, Victor Olatunji, Gift Orban, Yira Sor, Nathan Tella all had better goal record than Ihenacho over the past 2 years.. AE will really have to sit Awoniyi, KC and Chuks down and tell them the blunt truth. For God sake, so many guys are knocking on the SE's door and banging in goals week in week out. They better up their game or stop being invited |

Hotepking: I can understand his choice of player selection on the basis of trying to play it safe because this is a major double header qualifier with little or no time to experiment significantly with new faces- considering how fast and heavy the international breaks are scheduled, so the inclusions of the regular mainstay faces like Awoniyi, Iheanacho and even Tanimu etc (despite their poor club forms) can be understandable and perhaps excused...if that's Eguavoens real excuse, then I can forgive and understand it...otherwise if it's another typical local coach jibiti of cushioning "paddy-paddy" as a basis of player selections at the expense of merit, then we have serious cause to be worried.
I'll reserve my judgements on Eguavoen because he's still interim, and has done really well so far with results and style of football which majority of Nigerian fans can agree to, if he's fully given the job then we will see his real team selections going forward...truth is I still feel safer with Eguavoen as the coach than a brand new coach when we return to face the murky world cup qualifier fixtures next year...there's really no time to stake our world cup chances on a new coach who might need more time to harmonize this team. If Nigeria qualifies for AFCON before the qualifiers are over, I will suggest AE uses the untested players |
